Play Airlines Reviews: My First Experience Shocked Me!

Aug 2, 2023

Travel Blog

I travel often, and I know many of you do, too. Recently, I tried Play Airlines, a new budget airline popular with Gen Z.

Founded in 2019, Play Airlines follows the motto “pay less, play more.” It offers flights from major East Coast cities in the US to destinations like London and Copenhagen.

Also, all these flights are hundreds of dollars less than those of other airlines. This is why it appeals to travelers looking to save money.

The airline carriers are among the best that offer ultra-low fares when traveling to Europe. So the new entrant in the market has appeared in the search results for Transatlantic flights after April 2022. The airline aims to bring visitors to Iceland and connect North America and Europe.

The airline started flying in 2021 in Iceland; however, in North America, the service began in April 2022.

Do you want to know more about the PLAY Airlines reviews? I will tell you about the airline, its foundation, and my experience? Keep reading!

This Is My Experience With Play Airlines!

When the airline carrier was first inaugurated, Play Airlines and Baltimore Airport collaborated to create a good impression in the form of a water cannon salute when the first plane of Play Airline pulled up to the gate. Overall, the first impression was quite well made by Play Airlines.

The staff is helpful and interactive. Another added advantage of a low-budget carrier airline. It is unheard of for a low-budget carrier airline to be perfect concerning its services.

I would also like to discuss certain shortcomings that I identified. Do give it a go before you book tickets on Play! The flight I traveled on was spacious, clean, and memorable because I was finally traveling to Paris, one of my dream destinations.

What Is Play Airlines?

What Is Play Airlines?

Play Airlines is addressed as the Ultra Low-Cost Carrier (ULCC), which is not completely uncommon. However, many carriers have additional charges based on transportation, which ULCC still needs! These airlines are perfect for passengers traveling on a budget like me!

My travel plans are concrete, and I am not free to have flexible dates and timings because I have a job! I am also one of those who do not care about luxury or frills added to necessities.

Therefore, I am functional when it comes to services such as Wi-Fi and entertainment charging points. Ultimately, I can adjust this much if I am traveling to a destination, especially for a vacation.

Play is the successor of Wow Air, a low-cost airline carrier that ran out of service in 2019. So, if you question, is Play Airlines safe? It is.

PLAY Airlines Reviews 2025: Did I like It?

My Experience On Flying With Play Airlines

So I was traveling to Paris from Boston and was charged $292 for a roundtrip. To begin with, this is quite a cheap deal that I have got on Play Airline. Another significant thing I noticed and did not expect was a comfortable seat and 34 inches of legroom.

Isn’t that amazing? Finding another airline that gives 34 inches of leg space might be challenging! It is quite unheard of in a budget carrier. The seats are Delta Comfort Plus, which is comfortable, and I was very relaxed throughout the flight. The chairs are tall enough for you to rest your head.

As a frequent flier, half of your problems are solved if the seat is comfortable! According to my Play Airlines review, it is quite comfortable to travel with this airline. The space for the leg also helps in extending the tray table. There was no charging extension or plug-ins in the Play flights, which is usually there in transatlantic carriers and U.S. airlines.

I found the crew very supportive and helpful. I had a very positive experience while interacting with the crew. No food or snack is free; however, this is one of the side effects of low-budget carriers. I did not see any food or water services throughout the flight except at the beginning and end.

What I Found Beneficial?

What I Found Beneficial?

In A321neo, headrests were present in each seat with extra padding and adjustable wings. When you fly Play Airlines, you will get better seating comfort than most of the low-budget flying airlines. The setting does help in creating a more comfortable sleeping position.

I also noticed that every seat had its lights and dedicated air vents. It helped me a lot because I am an avid reader, so there was no issue with my entertainment as I almost finished a book on the flight.

A significant advantage I found on Play Airlines is that there was no bundling, nor was the fare made complicated concerning overall expenditure. I also found the timings of the flights to be mostly punctual. The connecting flights to Europe via Keflavik are conveniently set.

Their food and drink collection is quite decent; you can order based on your requirement. There is also no connectivity, such as Wi-Fi, messaging, or entertainment.

What Did I Find Negative?

What I Found Negative?

I have heard that the seat arrangements are a mixed bag, such as seats with 34 inches of leg space, while some seats give you a meager 28 inches of leg space.

So, as a traveler, you should search on Google Flights regarding the space of the specific flights of Play Airlines before you book tickets. Make sure to check the legroom extension to have some wiggle room.

Another significant shortcoming that I noticed on the flight was that there needed to be more power. As a traveler, one thing that is essential in today’s time is charging your phone, which I wasn’t able to do because of no power.

You will not be getting any refund; hence, in case of cancellation from your side, you will need clarification with the services. Another thing that might look like a chore to you is creating an account to view or book seats and baggage fees.

The complete itinerary or any schedule based on base fare will only be accessible if you have an account on the official website, www.flyplay.com.

PLAY Airlines Reviews: Why Should You Go For It?

If you’re on the hunt for a budget-friendly way to travel, Play Airlines might just be the perfect fit.

I recently flew with them to Iceland, and I have to say, I was genuinely impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of the experience—especially given how affordable their fares are.

I’m already looking into booking another trip to Europe with them this fall! For those of us who prefer a more laid-back travel style, Play Airlines is ideal.

They get you where you need to go without the extra costs that typically come with mainstream airlines.

On my trip to Iceland, the money I saved on airfare allowed me to explore more once I got there.

I treated myself to a bus tour along the stunning southern coast and even checked out the unique Lava Show in Reykjavík, all without feeling like I was stretching my budget too thin.

Honestly, flying with a low-cost airline like Play opened up more opportunities for me and truly enhanced my overall travel experience.

How To Book On Play Airlines?

You have to visit their official website, but before that, search Google Flights. Accordingly, select flights and seats based on your preferences and make your payment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Play Airlines vs Icelandair: Which one is better?

Play Airlines for the cheapest fares on a no-frills flight, but expect to pay extra for amenities like bags, food, and seat selection.
Opt for Icelandair if you prioritize comfort, want complimentary amenities such as Wi-Fi and in-flight entertainment, and are willing to pay more for the added services.

2. How Much are PLAY Airlines baggage fees?

PLAY Airlines offers a pay-as-you-go model for baggage. Every fare includes one free personal item.
However, you will need to pay for checked baggage and additional services like seat selection.
For complete details on baggage fees, visit the PLAY Airlines Terms and Conditions page

3. Is There Food On PLAY Airlines?

Yes, you can purchase food and drinks onboard all PLAY Airlines flights from their onboard menu, but it is not complimentary

Play Airlines Reviews 2025: Should You Go For It?

My overall experience on Play Airlines was mostly positive. However, some of the shortcomings are quite significant. Having no power to charge your mobile phone devices can seriously put travelers who are traveling long distances at risk.

The only solution to this problem is carrying a power bank. You must be aware of these issues before you book a flight!

There are limited options to travel to Iceland if you cancel the flight you have booked, or if the authorities have delayed it.

Comment below regarding your choice of place to visit in Iceland and why!

Florida Dreams: RV Camping Along the Sunshine State’s Shore

BY  Abdul Aziz Dec 30, 2023

There's no denying that Florida's beaches have a certain magic. They can transport you to Madagascar or the Caribbean. They replicate the stunning blue water, white sand beaches, and swaying palm trees quite well. This article is for you if you're thinking about taking an RV vacation to Florida. The top RV camping on the beach in Florida are listed here. They are well-known for their friendliness and offer a plethora of amenities. Not to mention all the thrilling water sports they provide, like jet skiing, surfing, and paddle boarding. If you want to learn more about RV camping on the beach in Florida, keep reading.  RV Camping On The Beach In Florida: Are They Safe?  Indeed, camping in Florida's RV parks is quite safe. The majority of them have security personnel stationed at the gates. All campers are asked to abide by park regulations, and trespassing is strictly prohibited. Since these properties are kept up properly, there is very little chance of anything going wrong. However, when visiting an RV park, it's advisable to exercise caution and take the required safety measures. Where Can You Camp  There are both public and private campsites on several Florida beaches. You can park your RV, pitch a tent, or reserve a spot. In addition, you can camp overnight on a few beaches on Anclote Key, Shell Key, and Keewaydin Island without a permit. Some beaches, however, do need a permit. Many locals reside near the beach, so an unwelcome camp or van close by will not be appreciated. Examine the local laws before making the final decision.  RV Camping On The Beach In Florida  Your search for RV camping on the beach in Florida ends here. These are the top beachfront RV parks in Florida: Key Largo Kampground  Key Largo Kampground is the ideal camping location in the Florida Keys for your whole family, featuring a large beachfront campground and an expansive marina. 171 of the campsites are designed to accommodate both tents and RVs. Every RV site has full hookups and is large enough to fit rigs up to forty feet. In addition, there are heated swimming pools, shuffleboard courts, basketball courts, horseshoe courts, and laundry facilities. Park your personal boats at a boat slip if you are bringing them. If you plan to rent a motorized boat, you can also use the boat ramp. Key Largo Kampground is not just an RV park along the beach. It is 40 acres long, with mangroves and tropical vegetation next to the Atlantic Ocean. You can see the foliage come to life every spring when the flowers bloom. Key Largo is well-known for being the world's diving capital, home to more than 25 dive shops and charters. It's among the greatest locations in Florida for ocean fishing, scuba diving, and snorkeling because of the coral reef and the warm water. Some other popular water sports among RVers are kite boarding and windsurfing. Pensacola Beach RV Resort  Located on Pensacola Beach's barrier island, Pensacola Beach RV Resort is a relaxed beach-side campground that doubles as a resort. It provides quick access to the remainder of the barrier island and has a view of Santa Rosa Sound. A home away from home is what the RV resort offers. Each campsite has connections for power, water, and sewer. There is a heated pool with a patio, chairs, and loungers in the middle of the resort. There's a clubhouse with showers and laundry facilities next to the pool. On the western edge of the beach, there's a Tiki bar offering refreshing cocktails and tequila. Take in the views of the coast as you relax and sip your preferred beverage. The ideal combination is sugar-white sand and crystal-clear light green water, which Pensacola provides. As soon as you get to the resort, you can head to the beaches and swim in the stunning Gulf of Mexico waters. Among the adventurous things you should put on your "to-do" list are snorkeling and surfing. Although the resort is not inexpensive, its excellent location and amenities make it worth the cost. The Standard RV sites cost $100 per day, and the Premium sites cost $130. Camp Gulf  Another RV camping on the beach in Florida is Gulf. Camping on the Gulf, sometimes referred to as Camp Gulf, is another opulent RV park situated on the Gulf of Mexico. It's close to Destin in northwest Florida at Miramar Beach, not Miramar City. There are 215 full hook-up RV sites in the park, many of which are close to Miramar Beach. Others are located by the swimming area or in a row between palm trees and palmetto bushes along the verdant pasture areas. In addition, there are cabins, beach houses, and rustic clamping tents available at Camp Gulf. Access to the beach is immediate if you camp at this RV park. It's far more private than public beaches because it's built on private property. Come to the Miramar beach with your sun loungers and take in the refreshing breeze. When you get back, enjoy a revitalizing shower in the RV park's spotless restrooms. You can take advantage of everything that Destin has to offer because it's close by. In fact, the quick availability of RV sites at lower prices is one of the main reasons why many campers choose to camp at Miramar Beach rather than Destin. However, Gulf Camp, a posh RV park in Florida, has somewhat pricey RV sites. Overnight rates range from $79 to $120. The tiny but well-equipped Turtle Beach Campground has plenty to offer. Sea turtles use this location, which is on Sarasota Barrier Island, as a base from May to October to lay their eggs. You will have the opportunity to view, albeit carefully, the nests of loggerhead and green sea turtles as well as the young. One of the few campgrounds in Florida with direct beach access is this 14-acre facility. At any time, you are free to exit your RV and stroll up to Siesta Beach. The sand is hard and white, and the beach is clean. Take a nap by the sunloungers or jump straight into the azure sea. There are 39 RV and tent-friendly campsites at this family-friendly campground. Every campsite has picnic tables and complete hookups. Within the campground is a coin-operated laundry and shower area. A game of horseshoes can be played on the playground. You are able to play your preferred sport in a number of pits that have an abundance of open grassy spaces. Siesta Key is five miles away and Sarasota is only nine miles away from the Turtle Beach Campground. The entire Sarasota barrier island, Serenoa Golf Club, and Oscar Scherer State Park are also close by tourist attractions. Matlacha  Matlacha is a small island in southwest Florida, home to the family-run beachfront RV resort Sugar Sand. Also, Matlacha a comparatively quiet area, is a hidden fishing treasure. State Road 78 crosses the island and leads to the resort from the Cape Coral-Fort Myers metropolitan area. The RV sites are located next to a sugar-sand beach with sea walls as soon as you enter the Sugar Sand resort. Complete hookups with picnic tables and Wi-Fi internet access are available for these. The resort is the starting point of the fishing expedition. Approach the spacious dock designed for boating. Take a ride through Matlacha Pass's busy waters by boarding one of the available boats. Catching the first fish by the hook would not take long. Alternatively, you may choose a more daring path and navigate Matlacha's backwaters by kayak. Kayak fishing is a popular activity for both locals and visitors. Think about going fishing at the Matlacha Pass Bridge if you don't want to enter the water. Because of the amazing catches that have been reported at the bridge over the years, it has acquired the title of "The Fishingest Bridge in the World." You will undoubtedly catch a tarpon, trout, or cobia. There are just ten sites at Sugar Sand Beach RV Resort. As a result, booking a site far in advance is advised. Starting at $100 per day, rates drop to $65 per day for monthly reservations. When looking for RV camping on the beach in Florida, Sugar Sand Beach ranks well above most. RV Park Rates In Winter  Because of its pleasant, tropical climate and abundant sunshine, Florida is referred to as the Sunshine State. The off-peak season runs from November through January, with February through May being the peak months. The temperature is in the neighborhood of 10 to 11°C. In the winter, it can cost anywhere from $20 to $100 per day at an RV park in Florida. RV sites are empty at that time of year due to a decrease in the number of RVers. These can be reserved at discounts of 20–30% or even 50%. Wrapping Up  It's time to start planning now that you have some amazing choices for the best RV camping on the beach in Florida! There is an RV park in Florida for everyone, whether your goal is to have an amazing adventure or just a peaceful place to disconnect and unwind. Make sure you learn everything there is to know about RV camping so that you can make the most out of this unusual way of traveling, whether you already own an RV, are looking to buy one, or are just planning a trip in one! You can finish taking a walk in the grove of the big trees and visiting the most beautiful trails in one day.  However, if you want to explore the Alpine peaks and the deep canyons to the fullest, you will need to stay at least three to four days in the park.   Which Is The Most Beautiful Part Of The Grand Canyon National Park?   The south rim of the Kings Canyon National Park is the most beautiful area according to most visitors to the park. You can experience the most unique views of the Grand Canyon from the southern rim.  Further, from the southern rim, you will get to enjoy the most amazing view of the Colorado River.   What Not To Visit The Grand Canyon National Park?   You must not visit the Grand Canyon National Park in July and August. The weather is hot and humid during these months. Further, thanks to a diverse landscape and unique vegetation, it’s hard to say which season is the best to plan a trip to this park. Different parts of the park become the most attractive in different seasons.  For example, the North Rim of the park is the best place to pay a visit during May and October. The temperature is pleasant during these months, and the crowd is smaller. Similarly, you must hit the southern rim of the park in the fall. The cooler temperature makes hiking and biking in the southern rim easier during the fall season.   Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try.
