When visiting Tirana, you'll find you can have a crazy experience, with diverse topography that offers the feel of both the mountains and the sea! Whether you're in the northern Alps or on the Albanian Riviera, you'll experience the bustling life of Tirana. Renting a car is the best way to explore everything! So, pack your bags and let’s go on this amazing trip. Is it Safe to Rent a Car in Tirana, Albania? When traveling to Albania, I would say renting a car is quite safe, especially if you are booking through reputable organizations. Agencies such as Avis and Europcar provide an extra layer of confidence with their market reputation. One of the best deals my acquaintance got was booking a rental car through Discover Cars, because they are really helpful when it comes to finding the cheapest deals available. The reviews and feedback on Discover Cars might be a little different compared to TrustPilot and Google reviews. This might be an issue sometimes. I would suggest a secondary check. It will help everyone and give you a better understanding of the situation. You can also seek legal assistance if you face drink-driving charges during your vacation.  The best service for deposit-free car rental RosCar.al is a leading car rental service in Albania that specializes in providing quality transportation solutions for tourists and business clients. The company's official website includes a section of cars available without a deposit. When renting a car with extended insurance, no deposit is required. However, customers should regularly monitor the catalog of available vehicles. Some cars are available without a deposit only if you book early. The car rental service lets you pay without blocking funds on your card. This means each client can rent a car without unnecessary risk. The RosCar.al assortment includes: Economy class cars Mini-cars SUVs and crossovers Convertibles Minivans Luxury cars. One of the first places to hire a car in Tirana is the airport, where several companies are available. But if you don't want to book there, how do you rent a car in Tirana? As the capital of Albania, Tirana offers many options at competitive prices. You can easily find Albania Car Rentals, Select, iRent Albania, Sixt, and other companies well known for renting a car when visiting Tirana. Other organizations, such as Durres, offer car rentals to the specific location you request. You can also rent a car in Saranda, a southern coastal town that serves as an entry point from Corfu. Or, if you are coming from Greece, you can easily rent a car from companies such as Optima, Aris, and Select. The 4th largest city, Shkoder, in Albania is also an entry point if you are traveling from Montenegro. From there, you can easily rent a car for Tirana, where you will find several options through Discover Cars, including Sur Price, Green Motion, and Select. What documents do I need to rent a car without a deposit? A driver's license and a passport are enough to book and complete the rental. To apply for a car you like, you need to: choose a car on the official website of RosCar.al; indicate the date, place of pickup, and time of return; confirm the order by receiving a letter at the specified e-mail address; receive the car at the chosen location or at Tirana Airport. The option to return the car in another city makes it easier to travel in a new country. How to avoid scams when looking for a safe car rental company? Read the proposed rental terms carefully. Before signing the contract, make sure you understand all the terms and conditions, including the policy on deposits, insurance, and possible additional payments. If you have any questions about the rental conditions, contact the company's representatives to clarify the details. Renting a car without a deposit can be convenient, but be careful when choosing a rental company and don't risk your personal data. Do not give the company representatives your personal banking information without prior approval. Use well-known international services or local companies with a good reputation, such as RosCar.al. Check the company's official website and contact information. If the offer is too cheap, it may signal fraud or hidden fees. Tips for your Rental Car in Albania Book your car in advance when going to Tirana because they don't have an endless supply of rental cars. So, it is better if you check with rental agencies on Discover Cars. Also, mention your preference for manual or automatic early so you can get the one you want. You also need full insurance cover because driving in Albania comes with several risks. I am not saying you will fall into a crisis, but Albania has some of the highest road-traffic death rates in Europe. Use a credit card when paying because most agencies deduct holding fees for any future damage. When you use a credit card, they don't deduct this from your account, protecting your money in the long term. Wrapping up! In conclusion, if you are wondering how to rent a car in Tirana, keep the tips shared here in mind. Also, traveling by car comes with practical risks, so stay aware of your surroundings. A perfect place for high-energy travelers, San Juan is quite a bustling place for a trip! Wondering whether is San Juan safe? Let me share some detailed information about things to do in San Juan so you can enjoy this vibrant place.   You can book one of the best Caribbean cruises to reach San Juan, Puerto Rico. Let us go through the key elements of basic safety tips for traveling to San Juan.   Is San Juan Safe For Solo Women Travelers?   San Juan is quite safe for solo women travelers if you take some basic precautions. I would suggest avoiding walking alone in unknown neighborhoods, especially if they are poorly lit. Also, learn the city's layout so you can navigate it confidently.   If you are walking at night back to your accommodation, try to do it in a trusted group or with a friend. However, if you are solo traveling, you must know your route well. Yes, at times, the wrong place, wrong time thing is true.   However, you also need to stay aware of your surroundings, limit your alcohol intake, and be careful when visiting pubs and bars. Let me share with you some of the safest places to stay, safest places to eat, and things to do safely.   Safest Place to Stay in San Juan   Let me share with you some of the safest places to stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as a tourist. Yes, there are petty crimes and theft, but no place is completely clean. There might be some issues. However, most places are safe for travelers, especially if you take some precautions!  Condado – a tourist-based area where the people are quite friendly and helpful to the tourists. Furthermore, with a thriving nightlife scene, this place is perfect if you can stay here.   Henceforth, visiting museums and other important places becomes easier. And don't forget: you can hop to clubs and restaurants easily if you stay nearby!   Santurce – One of San Juan's most populated areas, this location is quite safe for booking accommodation. Starting from museums to art and music, you will get everything here. You'll also enjoy the different types of cuisine available in this area.   Things to Do in San Juan   If you want to enjoy visiting San Juan safely, let me share some of the coolest places worth visiting. History speaks here, along with some of the most picturesque places in the city.   From the beaches to the streets, San Juan offers beautiful places to explore. Let me share some free things to do in San Juan, Puerto Rico! These activities will make sure you have the time of your life!   El Yunque National Forest   This place is beautiful, especially if you love nature; this is it for you. Go visit nature and check out those beautiful waterfalls. You can also hike through the rainforest and experience some of the best places in San Juan.   You can take a guided tour, or you can venture alone depending on your hiking experience. I suggest you bring an extra set of clothes and extra hiking boots because you may get caught in rain on the trail.     Ocean Park Beach   This is one of the most popular beaches in San Juan, where people come to swim and surf. This large, publicly accessible beach is in the barrio of Santurce in Puerto Rico.    There is a small restaurant at this beach, but you probably won’t have many options. It is better to bring your own drinks, order something simple from the restaurant, and enjoy the beach vibe.   Cobblestone Streets   Beautiful museums, colonial churches, and architecture across the cobblestone streets will take your breath away. I am sure you will start admiring the place when you take a stroll across these streets.   The streets are paved with blue cobblestone pavers. The beauty will make you stare. You can take amazing pictures while learning about the island's colonial past from these cobblestone streets. La Fortaleza   A UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Fortaleza is a historic fortress. You can take a guided tour. You can see the current residence of the Governor-General of Puerto Rico. There is also an arsenal here.   Also, you cannot roam the fortress at will. Instead, try to book the 30-minute guided walking tours across the place from Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The tour includes the fortress interiors when the government is not in session and the lush gardens.   Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery   The cemetery is historically profound especially because it is filled with graves of significant Puerto Rican figures. Salvador Brau, Jose Ferrer, Rafael Hernandez, Jose de Diego, and others are all buried here.   You will find them one of the most beautiful places, as the cemetery faces the Atlantic Ocean. It is all about the symbolism of the souls' journey in the afterlife!   Food to Have in San Juan   Are you a foodie like me? Whenever I travel somewhere, I find it essential to try the food locals enjoy. This shows how a place develops a relationship with its local food, people, and culture.   La Placita de Santurce – With several bars and food stalls, this place is as lively as a festival, the market square attracts you like no other. One of Puerto Rico's hotspots, it draws both travelers and locals.   La Factoria – This bar is popular and known for creative cocktails such as the espresso martini, lavender mule, lager beer, hijos de Borinquen, and more! The low-lit, salsa-filled ambiance feels quite homey, with delicious fish tacos, stuffed mushrooms, fried goat cheese balls, and more.    Chicharron - One of the most delicious tapas menus, this restaurant is also one of the best places to try Puerto Rican malanga soup. Let's not forget to try the Mofongo from here.   Deaverdura - A small restaurant with a farm-eatery vibe, it offers some of the best pernil in San Juan. You also need to try the pollo al ajillo with rice, which is to die for. It is located right in the heart of the city. The lively Latin American restaurant gives you the perfect taste of local cuisine.   Molini’s - A hidden gem of a restaurant, the menu changes daily, offering some of the best local cuisine. If you are looking for an authentic Puerto Rican dish, try their Arroz con gandules. You are in for a treat!   Is San Juan safe? Safety Tips For Solo Women Travelers   The safety tips I am sharing are from my experience as a solo female traveler! My experiences have helped me create a checklist for myself, especially when I am traveling alone, both domestically and internationally.   Choose accommodation in a well-lit neighborhood. This helps keep you safe, even when you return late to your hotel or leave early to visit a tourist spot. Another thing to keep in mind: if you are walking alone, try to be on well-lit roads, especially at night.   Be aware of your surroundings at all times, even in a crowd. I recently traveled to a crowded city in India and realized that pickpocketing and petty theft are most rampant in crowds. Even at night, you must be aware of your surroundings.   When using transportation, use reputable, trusted drivers and organizations for ride-sharing services, organized tours, and taxis.   Try not to flaunt too much in terms of clothing or accessories. For example, it is better not to wear expensive watches, bags, or jewelry, or carry large amounts of cash.   You must keep track of the weather in San Juan and check the forecast before you make plans. It is better to be prepared, especially because you are a visitor to the city; hence, you might not get help whenever you need it. Better to take precautions than worry later.   Wrapping Up!   In conclusion, when you visit San Juan, enjoy the beautiful places, the local Puerto Rican dishes, and the culture. And when you ask, is San Juan safe? You will know for yourself if you keep all the safety tips discussed above in this blog.   Comment below with your must-visit place in San Juan and why. Also, plan your trip, especially if you are traveling solo. Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try. Top 13+ Famous Wonders Of India That You Must Visit.

One Day In Tokyo: What Is It Like To Be There!

BY Sibashree Mar 20, 2025

Tokyo is a beautiful place, and I feel everyone should visit it at least once in their lifetime. But one day in Tokyo With beautiful views of mountains, rivers, cherry blossoms, and more natural elements, you can enjoy the place to its heart's content.   With my tips on delicious food, the safest and nicest places to stay, and things to do, you can plan a day in Tokyo. Plus, a day itinerary helps you get a feel for the place, especially if you have a limited budget.   If you are looking for February vacation ideas, this is it. Plan accordingly to create an itinerary that helps you make memories.  Read What Is It Like to Have One Day in Tokyo!   If it is just for a day, choose a central location so you don't waste time traveling. I suggest any place on the Yamanote Loop line, whether it's Tokyo Station or Shinjuku.   It will also help you plan correctly whether it is the places, the food, or the location. Tokyo can easily become one of the best places to travel with kids. Let me share this information, along with some tips that are perfect for your itinerary!   Where to Stay!   Are you a little worried about where to stay, especially if you plan to spend just one day in Tokyo? Let me share some options with you. You can rest assured it will be both fun and safe. You'll also want to know where to stay if you're staying longer.   Tokyo is one of the most exotic places to travel, and it's beautiful. Some of the coolest, most interesting, and safest neighborhoods to stay when visiting Tokyo are as follows:   Shinjuku   In terms of preference, I would say Shinjuku ranks highest because you will find great transport connections, delicious dining options, and an amazing shopping experience. This place is known for the young crowd. So it also caters to them.   From foodies to shopaholics, the place can satisfy everything from sudden cravings to planned dinner parties. The Yamanote Line is also available here, so it's perfect if you travel regularly. Also, Tokyo's best bookshop, Kinokuniya, is in Shinjuku.   Don't forget the area can feel a bit overwhelming, with crowds, several bars, and restaurants. So, if you are traveling with kids, it can be a little too much for children. So, please be aware of it.    Marunouchi Area/ Tokyo Station   Another perfect place to stay if you are not a homebody! Tokyo's main transport hub is surrounded by great hotels, shops, department stores, and restaurants. If you love parks, this is the place for you. Several adjoining parks are nearby, and you can also visit the Imperial Palace.   The place can feel a little dead in the evening, especially when people are inside restaurants or taking a stroll. However, the more you explore, you will see it is one of the coolest places to be if you are looking for exploration.   Roppongi   Another place to stay if you are an explorer. Not just tourists. Even the locals prefer Roppongi over other places to stay. The place is sexy with its come-hither feel. Roppongi is known for its glamorous nightlife and delicious dining experience.   Whether you're a clubber or a fine diner, Roppongi is rated as one of the most attractive places to be. A cosmopolitan reflection of big money, be it foreign or Japanese, Roppongi shines brightly. However, one downside is that it is not on the Yamanote Loop line, which can be difficult for an explorer.   You will have to take longer routes and spend more money, especially if you cannot access the loop line while staying in Roppongi.   Where to Eat!   If you are wondering what to eat when visiting Tokyo, let me share some iconic dishes. You will have an immersive culinary experience when you try these dishes while enjoying Tokyo's beautiful places.  Just to be on the safe side, make sure you have the best travel credit card! It will help you in a crisis.  Ramen – There are various ramen dishes, starting from spicy miso to rich tonkatsu. A combination of juicy meat, nori sheets, a perfectly cooked egg, and bamboo shoots makes for a feel-good, hearty broth.   Yakitori – One of my favorites; it's skewered chicken that's savory and grilled. It's usually seasoned with salt or tare sauce.   Tempura – Deep-fried vegetables or seafood. You will fall in love with this crispy dish.   Sushi – One of Japan's most popular cuisines. You will get a variety starting from creative rolls to classic nigiri.   Okonomiyaki – A Hiroshima specialty, this savory pancake includes mix-ins like cabbage, pork belly, and shallots! It combines an omelet and a pancake.   Must See Tokyo in One Day!   Go to Asakusa first thing in the morning! You can visit Senso-ji Temple, which is located near Asakusa-jinja Shrine.   Then you can take the Ginza subway line, which will take you straight to Shibuya, across town from Asakusa. The ride takes about 30 minutes, so it's best to grab a seat and relax with a book.   Then take the Hachiko exit when you arrive in Shibuya and walk to the Shibuya Crossing. It is one of the coolest shopping districts; now you know where I am taking you. There are lots of huge department stores with beautiful products.   You can grab a snack like Yakitori, onigiri, or taiyaki on the street so you won't be hungry until afternoon! Most department stores have huge restaurant floors, so you can easily have your lunch in Shibuya. It can get a bit rushed in the afternoon; peak time is 1:00 p.m., so try to avoid it.   Then you can visit the beautiful Meiji-jingu Shrine, located west of Harajuku. You have to take the Yamanote line to get there. You can also have coffee in Omotesando to recharge for the rest of the day.    Don’t forget the amazing views from the Mori Tower observation deck. Go to the tower's 52nd floor to enjoy beautiful Tokyo views as evening falls. Roppongi has many bars where you can end your day with delicious meals and drinks.   Things To Do In Tokyo!   If you have more time, here are the things you must do when visiting Tokyo. The first thing that I will suggest to you is to visit a few spots popular for their cherry blossoms, mind-bogglingly beautiful.  The places are perfect for some alone time, especially if you are avoiding the blossom season. Another thing you shouldn't miss is the Samurai Restaurant Time show. It shows Tokyo's cultural side, especially with the fun and glitz the cabaret show brings.  You can buy tickets online from Samurai Restaurant Time to enjoy an extravagant show you'll remember for a lifetime.   Mount Fuji is another wonder you must not miss if you visit Tokyo! If you plan to visit Mount Fuji, try to do so during the day! There are several places from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Mt. Fuji.  You can also add visiting Lake Kawaguchiko because the view you see of Mt. Fuji from here will not be available anywhere. You can go fishing, hiking, or cycling, or read a book under one of the trees and enjoy the view. There are also several museums around the lake. You can go check them out.   Tips to Make Your Trip Memorable   Buy a Universal adapter because the plug sockets in Japan are different. Bring a charger and Charger cables because you need to charge your cell phone regularly. The same applies to your laptop and Kindle.   Try to bring a power bank, especially if you plan to take pictures on your phone. With our social media platforms becoming the journal of your life, posting pictures, videos, and reels is a must. Get a data-only Japanese SIM card because it is better than roaming on your existing SIM.   Carry your medicines when visiting Japan, but be careful when transporting them. Japan has some strict regulations on common drugs, psychotropics, opioids, and others. Having a travel first aid kit is a must when traveling to Japan.   Carry basic medications such as flu, cold, diarrhea, rashes, painkillers, and others, sanitary pads, tampons, gel, and Razors. How can you forget deodorant or perfume when traveling? It is one of the most important toiletries, along with moisturizer, sunscreen, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, and more!   You also cannot forget sunglasses, a warm jacket, scarves, and a hat! Carry cotton and linen clothing, athleisure, and sportswear. Try to avoid denim because it holds onto moisture! Carry lightweight, comfortable walking shoes. Drying towels are a must, so pack them!   Wrapping Up!   In conclusion, Tokyo has several places you cannot miss when you visit! If you are visiting Tokyo for one day, read the article to learn more about where you can stay, what you can eat, and what you can do.   Comment below to let us know which are the places you want to visit and why! Petty theft is also a part of the city. So you need to navigate the city with your wits about you! If you have travel cards, especially if you have one of the best travel credit cards with you, you need to keep it safe.   There is also an application, Bounce, where you can keep your luggage while you explore the city! Bali vs Thailand: How To Choose Your Next Vacation

BY Sibashree Mar 13, 2025

Are you confused between Bali vs Thailand? Can't decide between these two popular Southeast Asian destinations? For your next holiday, I'll share a detailed comparison between Bali and Thailand so you can plan accordingly. If you are looking for warm places to travel in February, these can be good options.   Making your job easier is my responsibility, especially when I keep boasting that I love travelling. I've grouped them into categories so you can choose the location that best fits your travel plans.   I will share with you information that will give you confidence for your next trip. You'll also get the right experience when you plan your trip to a specific location based on your needs and requirements.   Bali vs Thailand: Which Place is Better?   If you are wondering about the perfect beach destination, Google will suggest places in either Bali or Thailand. Well, I have been to both places, and I have to say the best of both.   Yes, both locations share many similar elements, but they also differ. I will share several categories and explain how they compare in Bali and Thailand. You will get a sense of where you want to go.   Basics Of Bali   Beyond the beautiful beaches, Bali also offers hidden waterfalls, picturesque rice paddies, and iconic temples. The tourism industry thrives not just because of its natural landscapes. It is one of the most exotic places to travel, especially with its beautiful landscapes and culture!   It's also popular for water sports like surfing, hikes to volcanoes like Mount Batur, and delicious food. Yes, you also need to be a little cautious when visiting Bali because the weather can be unpredictable, tap water isn't safe to drink, and you should watch out for scammers.   Theories Of Thailand   Thailand is famous for its temples and monasteries, especially since Buddhism is an integral part of their culture. Additionally, how can we forget Thailand's beautiful sandy beaches, which create a perfect picturesque view?   Furthermore, the locals there are popular for their hospitality and friendliness. Let's discuss the shopping scene there, plus how the food and culture of the two places differ. Then you can decide where you plan to go: Bali vs Thailand!   A Detailed Comparison: Bali vs Thailand  Bali is a part of Indonesia while Thailand is a whole country, so statistically, it is much bigger. If you're visiting Thailand, be sure to visit Koh Phangan and Koh Samui for natural beauty. If you're after shopping and a big-city feel, go to Bangkok.  Let's not forget Phuket and Pattaya if you are a beach lover. After all, the rice terraces in the north of the country are a perfect place if you are into photoshoots and want great DPs for your social media profiles. Bali is a smaller place and easier to travel around.   Whether you're in Ubud or Kuta, the beaches are beautiful and relaxing. Don't forget the beautiful crochet dresses you can buy at the local market, then wear them as you visit the rice paddy fields. The island's volcanoes have created beautiful forests and waterfalls around them.   Visa   To visit Bali, you'll require to purchase your visa online or after you arrive at the airport for 500,000 IDR/AUD 50/USD 35. Additionally, if you are visiting Bali, you will need to pay a tourist tax of USD 10/AUD 15/ 150,000 IDR per person.   Paying online will help you book your visa beforehand; however, you have to use a different portal to book it. You can also book your visa at the airport; however, I suggest otherwise. Getting a visa for Thailand is much easier than getting one for Bali.   It is also one of the places you can travel to without a passport! You have to pay 10,000 Thai baht for a single entry, which can be extended later, because they offer a 30-day visa waiver. However, the visa-on-arrival scheme isn't very well established.   I did it, and there was a huge line and a lot of chaos at the airport. If you have a connecting flight from there, you are doom,e d especially because there is a lot of partiality going on. If you are applying for a group visa, the process is much faster than an individual visa, so I'll suggest applying for an online visa before traveling!   Accommodation   If you want luxury, Bali is a better fit than Thailand when booking accommodation, in my opinion. Bali offers a variety of guesthouses, Airbnb, hotel resorts, hostels, and homestays, with all the comforts and warm hospitality of local people.   You will find accommodations ranging from budget-friendly to luxurious. Thailand also offers a wide range of accommodations, especially in big cities. If you like spacious living quarters, Bali will give you that, while Thailand is mostly a little cramped.   Transportation   When you plan for Bali, try to select locations that are closer to each other! For a single day, create an itinerary that visits two to three places in the same direction or district. The best option is renting a scooter because it is one of the best options to explore both popular and off-the-beaten-path locales.   You can also book your rides on transportation apps such as Grab and Gojek. Several places are quite traffic-prone, such as Canggu and Seminyak. Thailand is huge, so you can select any two or three cities like Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok, and others.   Besides renting scooters, you can use public transport like trains, planes, and buses in Thailand, which is pretty easy! Thailand is one of the best places to travel with kids.   Beaches   Bali's beautiful beaches offer soft, powdery sand, endless blue and green water, and crashing waves! You must visit the resort town of Nusa Dua. After all, it is one of the coolest places to check out the picturesque views.   Another beautiful view you must not miss is Bali's black-sand beaches and their unique aesthetic. The Indian Ocean, in all its beauty, comes to the forefront because some people are crazy about the water. Even though Thailand has more beaches than Bali, you can't cover them all because it is a whole country! Try visiting the famous Railay Beach. So, I won't say Bali has more natural beach beauty than Thailand.   Things To Do   Geographically, Bali is a smaller island than Thailand, a big country. Of course, if we go by numbers, Thailand might offer more things to do; however, it can feel more hectic than Bali. However, the locations and activities are quite far apart.   Surfing, snorkeling, swimming, and parasailing are some of the water sports that you can do when visiting Bali. So, if you want to experience things to the fullest, Bali is a better choice than Thailand.   From Uluwatu Temple, Bali Zoo, Mount Batur, Tanah Lot Temple, Goa Gajah, and more, you will see the beauty of nature, culture, history, people, and more. Thailand also offers beautiful views of the White House of Chiang Rai and the Grand Palace.     Safety   When it comes to safety, there are some issues in Thailand and Bali. Bali is normally quite safe, and reported crimes are mostly petty, such as snatch-and-grab or pickpocketing. Road accidents in Thailand are quite serious.   From a crime perspective, Thailand is safe overall. However, the nightlife in Pattaya, Phuket, and Bangkok attracts many scammers. Furthermore, there have been people who have fallen victim to occasional acts of crime and violence.   Nightlife   Thailand has better nightlife than Bali, so if you love to party, you should be in Bangkok, Phuket, or Pattaya. Bali, on the other hand, has limited places to offer you party vibes, such as Kuta Beach or Seminyak Beach!   Parties in Bali are more exclusive because of the close circle. Locals mostly invite you if they connect well with you. Thailand has a seedy side to its nightlife!   Culture   Bali is a Hindu-majority Island with a natural landscape, but what is more attractive is their traditional culture. With a Hindu enclave in a Muslim country, the city has a well-defined culture with temples, rituals, festivals, offerings, arts, and crafts.   Thailand, on the other hand, has a lot of Thai and Buddhist culture persisting, creating a fascinating culture. There are several monasteries and places to worship which are quite welcoming for tourists.   Overall, both places have beautiful, warm, and welcoming cultures, and you can easily vibe anywhere!   Food   With a strong food culture, both Balinese and Thai food are delicious. However, compared to Bali, the street food culture is rich, with delicious, high-quality food served at very low prices. You will also find a range of local and international Thai restaurants.   Pad Thai, Som tam, Moo ping, Khao Soi, Khao man gai, and other items are deliciously available almost everywhere. If you are a fruit lover, you have to try their mango, papaya, and other fruits, desserts, and drinks on the street.   Bali has a lot of cafe culture, and it can be a bit expensive, especially for a standard menu. Some common items to try in Bali are Nasi Goreng, Bali Guling, Sate, and Mie Goreng.   Shopping   Everyone loves shopping, so if this is a factor in choosing where to go for your next vacation, let me tell you it is quite different in Bali vs. Thailand. You will find high-end products at Bangkok malls and night markets in different beach towns in Thailand.   You should save your shopping money for Thailand; in Bali, things are quite cheap. Several entrepreneurial shops and small stores offer a variety of local options, including arts, crafts, clothing, and more.   So, Is Bali Better Or Thailand?   Of course, in my opinion, I enjoyed Bali more, but that could be because I was more experienced traveling than when I visited Thailand. Also, I saw more diversity in Bali than in Thailand!   When you are choosing between Bali vs Thailand when planning your next vacation, jot down the points mentioned above. Discuss it with your travel buddies, or if you are solo traveling, start your research accordingly.  Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try. This is one of the best places to travel with kids too!   Safety Tips When You Visit Seattle   The rush hours in Seattle are from 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 6 PM. So if you want to drive, you need to remember this. Google Maps can also help you navigate the roads and avoid congestion.    I also suggest avoiding isolated, dark bus stops if you are traveling at night! So, if you are asking, "Is Seattle safe?" this is the perfect place to start. Let me fill you in on safety tips, mostly about what to do when you first arrive in Seattle.   Property crime   Whenever you visit a big city, you will see property crime, especially in high-maintenance neighborhoods. Common scams can happen with properties, especially if you book an Airbnb.   It's best to stay in constant contact with the owner. Also, if there is a caretaker, be cautious at first, especially with your electronics, luggage, and other belongings.   Pickpockets   Anywhere you go in the world, pickpockets will be there. They are everywhere because poverty is everywhere, and of course, they are struggling. Often, as a tourist, when you look and act different, pickpockets see you as an easy target.   It is better to blend in like a local and mingle well. You can also use an app called Bounce to store your luggage. This is especially useful if you are traveling alone and have already checked out of your accommodations.   Avoid keeping your mobile phone, camera, and wallet in your hand at all times. This can make you an easy target. Also, people with fraudulent intentions might chat with you a lot to distract you. Be careful of your surroundings!   Gold Jewelry scam   Sometimes, someone might tell you a sob story and engage you in a way that makes you lose money. They ask for money or even ask you to give them your gold ring or jewelry if you are wearing any.   Initially, you might feel like you are helping someone, or that it's a good deal to offer them something. Later, you realize it is a scam, and they can easily sell your jewelry at a pawn shop and profit.   Safe Accommodations Options In Seattle   Several accommodation options in Seattle are quite safe. When visiting Seattle, you can travel around the city because it is generally safe. However, there are issues, especially if you are traveling alone or at night.   Let me share with you some of the safest neighborhoods in Seattle. I am sure you can decide what's best for you, especially if you are covering various places, locations, and events.   Blue Ridge   A tranquil neighborhood, Blue Ridge is quite close to Golden Gardens Park. It is mostly residential. However, the views and hiking trails of Puget Sound are even more beautiful.   You can book Hotel Ballard, which has a rooftop pavilion and an athletic club, and it's quite luxurious. It will cost around $250 per night, so I'd say you should book soon.   Hawthorne Hills   Another upscale neighborhood, Hawthorne Hills is a perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful vibe. The University of Washington is nearby, offering scenic views of Lake Washington.   You can also check out the Cascade Mountains for another amazing view. It's also a residential area, so you can book the University Inn – A Staypineapple Hotel.   It will cost around $160 per night. If you are trying to live on a budget and experience the University style, book the dorm-style rooms with a fun pineapple theme. Plus, you can use the pool!   Places You Must Visit In Seattle   With exotic locations and unique geography, Seattle offers you one of the coolest places to visit. It's also quite safe for tourists. Why don’t I share with you some of the best ways to get around and enjoy your vacation?   First Hill and South Lake Union are two neighborhoods that are connected by streetcars. Another way to maintain real-time schedules is to download the OneBusAway app. You can also visit Seattle while booking one of the best cruises from Florida!   Cultural Practices That You Might Want To Know   If you follow some of these cultural practices, you will not feel or look completely out of place in Seattle. You can try some of these cultural practices to help you blend in with Seattle locals.   Most locals seem very friendly, especially when they first meet someone new. However, they will not form any deeper connections with people they have met recently. Called the “Seattle Freeze”, you should be careful and don’t take it to heart when this switch happens.   I would say you should not form deeper connections at the beginning, or even expect to become close buddies. If you love coffee, this is the perfect place to visit. It is an art form here! Did you know Starbucks originated in Seattle?   A jacket is a must when you visit Seattle because it can get cold really fast! As one of the best exotic places to travel, you must see New Orleans once in your lifetime!   Yes, the place has its issues. Every place in the world does. There might be a little concern when it comes to violence, along with the drug crisis. So it's important to understand why you need to be cautious when roaming alone in the city.    Let's explore the places you must visit, eat, or stay that are safe for a solo traveler. I will also share tips on how to stay safe in New Orleans. Most areas tourists stay in or visit are quite safe.   Tips To Stay Safe In New Orleans   Areas tourists frequent, such as the Garden District, the French Quarter, the Warehouse District, and the Central Business District, are quite safe. Still, you should follow basic common-sense practices to stay safe.   If you're traveling with kids, you'll find plenty of fun things to do in New Orleans, too. It is not just perfect for young or solo travelers. New Orleans also offers several family activities, such as visiting museums, national parks, and more.   Book Accommodations At A Busy Place   Try to book your well-lit accommodation, especially if you like wandering around at night. If you want to experience a place's nightlife, book a room in a busy area.   Try to book a rideshare with Lyft or Uber when you are returning late at night. An extra layer of security is requesting a female or male driver based on your preference. Public transport isn't always safe, especially late at night, when you might not get help if a crisis arises.   Be Careful Of What You Drink And Where   New Orleans is a party, and it can make for a vibrant, fun vacation. Alcohol is an important part of this vacation, and of course, you can drink when you are out enjoying yourself. Yes, you can visit the closest beach to New Orleans to experience the place's relaxed but vibrant vibe.   However, I would suggest trying to control the amount. Please don't leave your drink unattended. Even when you go to the bathroom, take it with you. Cover your drink in a crowded bar. This advice applies to both men and women.   Petty Crime   When you go out in New Orleans, keep expensive watches, jewelry, bags, and cameras in your hotel room. This way, you will not attract any unwanted attention from people with ill intent.   In crowded streets, keep your wallet, money, and other essentials in your front pockets. Stay aware of your surroundings. Also, try to wear your bags across your shoulder so they're not as easy to snatch while passing.    Beware Of The Scammers   If you look like a tourist, you are done! There are scammers everywhere, and if you look like a tourist, you are an easy target. If you are visiting the city during carnival time or festivities, many scammers may try to sell you souvenirs at inflated prices.   Also, try not to be too polite, because scammers can take advantage of it. They identify you by your behavior and stalk you to learn your habits so they can exploit your weaknesses.   Try not to engage with anyone. Whether it is about money, time, conversation, or a smile, especially if they are strangers. Keep walking if anyone repeatedly tries to engage you, and say no to drinks or food from strangers.    Things You Can Do In New Orleans Alone   I travel alone frequently, and if you are planning to travel to New Orleans alone, let me share with you some of the top places to visit.
