Also, 95 percent of this national park is designated wilderness.  Further, it is a rare coexistence of temperate rainforest and Alpine highlands. Also, you will find many lakeshores here. Moreover, when at the park, you can see the Pacific Coastline, which is pristine and wild. In addition, the National Park is home to snow-capped mountains like Mount Olympus, Mount Deception, and Mount Constance.  It will be an endless discussion if I talk about the attractions in the Olympic National Park. So, I decided to write an account of how I spent my day here. Of course, the Hurricane Ridge is the best sport to cherish a 360-degree view of the park.  Further, if you are here for some serious adventure, you can trek to Mount Storm King for a panoramic view of the park and its surroundings. Moreover, hiking through the steep trails and switchbacks is completely worth it. As you conquer the elevation of 609 meters, you will find the surreal Lake Crescent below. The water of the lake looks deep blue. Also, if you want to visit the shores along the Pacific Coast, you can visit Kalaloch and Ruby Beach. In addition, these are the places or hotspots in the Olympic National Park. 1. Hurricane Ridge Hurricane Ridge, a famous spot in the Olympic National Park for beautiful views, is also home to Olympic marmots. It comes with an elevation of 2064 meters, and it is at the epicenter of many adventurous activities in the park. Snowboarding and skiing are the most popular adventure activities here. Moreover, in the spring season, Hurricane Ridge gets filled with wildflowers.  2. Lake Crescent The thousand-year-old lake at the Olympic National Park will take you on a time travel. You can have the most immersive experience her,e looking at the icy blue water of the lake. Further, if you are looking for something adventurous, you can try camping, boating, and hiking here.  Moreover, Lake Crescent is home to the Crescenti Trout. You will hardly find this species of fish anywhere else in the world. Beardslee is another species of fish only found in Lake Crescent. You will find many hiking trails near Lake Crescent. I loved the walk to Marymere Falls.  3. Sol Duc Falls The Sol Duc Valley in the Olympic National Park comes with many hiking trails. Among them, the path leading to the Sol Duc Falls is the most beautiful. You have to walk for around a mile to reach the waterfall.  You can even hike to Mink Lake or the Lover’s Lane to see Sol Duc Falls. However, these are longer routes in comparison to the trail starting from the Sol Duc Valley.  Moreover, as you reach the Sol Duc River here, you will find coho salmon in abundance. If you visit the place from late October to late November, you will find salmon leaping over the waterfall to reach the river. The place is famous as Salmon Cascades Overlook.  4. Peabody Creek Trail The Peabody Creek Trail is a short nature trail near the Olympic National Park Visitor Center. The trail starts from the parking lot, and it is a path in the park that you can access year-round. As you walk through the trail, you will find many picnic benches. So, it is a great place to explore with your family.  The trail loop with a moderate difficulty level will take you to Peabody Creek. Once you reach the destination, you can stick to the North and start hiking on the adjacent Aldwell Nature Trail to return to the Visitor Center.  Overall, it is a 5.2-mile hike and back journey.  5. Mora and Rialto Beach When you are immersed in the beauty of Lake Crescent and make a further move, go to the southwest. At a distance of 40 miles, you will find Mora and Rialto Beach. Here, you will experience how powerful nature can be. Also, the experience I had here is “dramatic” or “intense.” Moreover, when you are at Mora and Rialto Beach, you will see the best marine animals, like whales, sea lions, otters, eagles, and different seabirds.  If you want to spend longer at this pristine place and soak in the energy here, you can plan camping. You can even hike through the James Pond Trail.  6. Staircase The Olympic National Park has this staircase on its southeastern corner. As I visited this place, it felt like entering a kingdom of douglas fir. Further, here, you will find the Skokomish River. Many hiking trails run along this river to the forests.  You must take a walk through the trail over the bridge leading to the North Fork Skokomish River. Hiking through the old forest is the most serene experience you can expect.  The Shady Lane Trail is another path, and at the end of this trail, you will find the most beautiful Lake Cushman. Moreover, if you are ready to walk those extra miles and take some serious challenges, you can plan a hike to Flapjack Lakes.  When you are tired of hiking or exploring the Staircase at Olympic National Park, you can enjoy a relaxing bath at the swimming spots.  7. Here, you will see the “Mosaic of Diversity.” It is an orientation film about the diversity and beauty of the park. Further, if you are traveling with kids, they will have the most amazing time at the Discovery Room. After knowing about the cultural and natural history of the park, you can make your move to visit the other attractions. The Visitor and Information Center remains open from 8 AM to 5 PM every day and the knowledgeable rangers and staff there will guide you in your journey to the park. SnapTravel is an online booking website (and app!) that combines the ease of use and cost-free nature of online booking platforms with the advantages of a travel agent. Like any other online booking website, SnapTravel is essentially an online travel agent that allows you to enter dates and a location to find hotel and flight deals. Sometimes SnapTravel offers amazing deals because, similar to a travel agency, it has access to airline and hotel discounts that it can pass along to you. You are not charged for using SnapTravel's services. Additionally, using SnapTravel's product doesn't require downloading any apps, in contrast to many others. Instead, just like with any other booking platform, you input information straight into their website. Using various messaging apps, you can choose to converse with a bot as well. I looked into booking hotels, flights, and customer service through SnapTravel. My experience is as follows. Overview To begin with, SnapTravel recently underwent a rebranding and is now known as Super. Booking hotels is now a part of their Superbrand. In this article, I'll continue to refer to it as SnapTravel because Super Travel hasn't quite taken off yet. Hussein Fazal and Henry Shi, two tech entrepreneurs, founded SnapTravel in Canada in 2016. SnapTravel is a legitimate business with investors such as Steph Curry (I doubt he spends hours searching the internet looking for deals on flights for under fifty dollars!). It searches for the greatest hotel and flight offers for clients by fusing cutting-edge chatbot technology with an online travel agency's business plan. SnapTravel doesn't charge users for these services; instead, it accepts commissions from bookings made by users. Furthermore, SnapTravel occasionally sends sponsored messages to its customers, which may be paid for by partners, though I haven't seen this in any of our chats. Naturally, SnapTravel highlights this as a benefit by offering recommendations to clients for places to visit or accommodations. SnapTravel Reviews: My Experience And User Opinion SuperTravel is the new name for "Snaptravel Hotels." They are only using Messenger to make hotel reservations. SnapTravel has since added a more recognizable method to display their deals. SnapTravel hotel deals can be found by scrolling to the bottom or using a search engine. But I was unable to begin looking right away. They wanted to make sure I wasn't a robot when I first hopped on to look for a hotel. Okay, all right, I get it. However, SnapTravel approached this peculiarly. I needed to have a code texted to my cell. They can now send marketing messages as a result, which was a bad experience for me. SnapTravel User Interface You don't use a search engine to find the best hotel deals when you use SnapTravel. Rather, you use their AI chat to speak with them after searching to see what options are available. I found Travel Lodge when looking for the greatest hotel deals in Mill Valley. This search's first screen displayed a $6 off discount in pink at the top of the image. When I searched for the savings for three nights, I discovered that it was $11. Snaptravel ultimately revealed to me that I had saved $17.85. In contrast, I saved almost $9.88 when comparing this offer with the hotel's website. This still represents a 3% savings, which is excellent! The savings might be negligible if you only stay with one hotel chain and take into account other reward programs. Nevertheless, these vacation offers validate SnapTravel! The SnapTravel website is undergoing maintenance as I write this in order to make the switch to their new name. When you visit Super's website, you may be wondering where the flight deals are. Up until recently, SnapTravel was the only place to see the flights. Things have changed once more in the brief period of time since I tested SnapTravel. You will now receive a notification when you click that link stating that they no longer have a third-party carrier associated with them and that the third-party carrier they formerly worked with has ceased operations. Previous Setup Experience In any case, I had a bad experience with their prior setup. My flight search left me feeling let down for a few different reasons. Firstly, their website loads incredibly slowly! The last time I tried to use it, the page took more than 30 seconds to load. Perhaps that is why their website is currently undergoing maintenance. And it doesn't end there. Actually, SnapTravel wasn't offering low prices—quite the contrary! I had to confirm that they were accurate by checking again. When I entered my ideal travel dates from Los Angeles to Omaha into SnapTravel, they displayed a $440 round-trip ticket. On Google Flights, the same route cost $237! Additionally, these flights took place a week and six months in advance. I would like to discuss these flight costs with the support staff. It appears that they only do that for their hotel packages right now. What To Expect From New Setup Everything will eventually fall under the "Super" umbrella. With any luck, all of this work will be worthwhile and their prices will drop. I would have preferred to find fewer negative reviews on SnapTravel, but I did find some. Nevertheless, SnapTravel has an A+ rating from Better Business Bureau reviews! Not all of it was awful. There were some useful flight features on SnapTravel, such as the option to search for multi-city flights. They must, however, improve in this area or stick to hotels because there are numerous SnapTravel substitutes. I want you to benefit from my SnapTravel shopping experience. The best hotel booking experience comes from finding a good deal on SnapTravel and then checking other websites. Verify that the availability and price correspond with what you are seeing on SnapTravel. SnapTravel offers some deals, but they usually go through the messenger. As I previously mentioned, SnapTravel uses AI to assist you in finding these offers. They will send you these deals if you quickly message them on Messenger with your travel dates and destination. You can check out after you locate the reservation you like. You can even add a purchase to SnapTravel's VIP program at this time. User Experience "The good thing is how much you get these credits. The year 2023 fall saw the return of Lake Manly or the Death Valley National Park lake. The Badwater Basin is the lowest point in the Death Valley, as well as the entire North America. It is located 282 feet below sea level, and today, the world knows it as a dry and salted flat.   However, a massive downpour caused by Hurricane Hilary in fall 2023 and the “Atmospheric River Effect” this year made the dried lake appear magically. Lastly, the lake had a resurrection in 2005, and suddenly, this trace of life in the barren land looks and feels surreal.   But why did this lake appear all of a sudden? Will it stay? What can you see while exploring the area near Lake Manly? This article tries to find answers to all your questions. Further, there is a sneak peek into what NASA shows about the ghostly and ancient lake at Death Valley National Park.   Has The Ancient Death Valley National Park Lake Returned?  Yes, the ancient Death Valley National Park lake made a comeback. Hurricane Hilary hit Death Valley on 19th-21st August 2023, and its remnants caused more rainfall than the average yearly rainfall (2 inches) at the national park.   Further, a Californian storm or the atmospheric river effect on 4th-7th February 2024 caused 1.5 inches of rainfall. Altogether, the amount of rainfall in this park from the second half of 2023 and the first half of 2024 was 4.9 inches.1   This sudden and unprecedented rainfall caused the rise of Death Valley National Park Lake. In mid-February 2024, the lake had one-foot deep water. Further, it was 6 miles long and 3 miles wide.   NASA has published a series of three images of Lake Manly. The pictures showed the difference between the barren, salted land in July and the waterlogged area in August after the rampage of Hurricane Hilary and Atmospheric River. Further, the pictures also depicted that the lake was almost the same size in August 2023 and February 2024.   Moreover, according to the latest update in April 2024, the lake is getting a steady number of visitors. The reflection of the surrounding peaks looks out of the world in the tranquil water of the lake. In addition, thanks to the rainfall and the resurgence of the lake, the national park had an abundance of wildflowers this season.   Elyscia Letterman2, an interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service (NPS), has mentioned,   “It's quite beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset when you have these beautiful reflections from the mountains around the lake. There's some snow on the mountaintops. So, the reflection of the snow-capped mountains on the water is very beautiful. It doesn't feel like you're in Death Valley.”   Again, the Amargosa River keeps feeding the Badwater Basin area from the south. With its increased water level, it can help the Death Valley National Park lake to stay. The rainfall took place on 20th August 2023, and the crew started assessing the havoc in the park on 21st August 2023.   Thanks to the flooding, Lake Manly made a comeback. However, some of the backcountry roads were completely washed. In addition, there was a major loss of pavements and undercutting.   “The lake was deep enough to kayak for a few weeks after Hurricane Hilary, but unfortunately people couldn’t come enjoy it then. Every road in the park was damaged by flash floods, and it took two months to open the first road into the park. Now most of the main roads are open, so it’s a great time to come visit!”   - Ranger Abby Wines on the return of the Death Valley National Park Lake after Hurricane Hillary  Atmospheric River Effect In Death Valley National Park  The Death Valley National Park was already recovering from the impact of Hurricane Hilary. Suddenly, in February 2024, a Californian storm or the atmospheric river effect hit the national park. The storm fed the Badwater Basin with water, which enhanced the temporary lake.  This storm also pulled down snow from the mountain peaks, and it came down to around 4000 feet in the park.   Will The Ancient Death Valley National Park Lake Stay?   Despite the endorheic nature of the Badwater Basin, the Death Valley National Park Lake is transitional or ephemeral in nature. The evaporation rate here is higher than the water feed it gets. However, the downpours caused by the August 2023 and February 2024 natural calamities have brought all the changes. We now have a lake that shows some potential to stay.   Again, the Amargosa River has flowing water at a high level. So, the basin is getting constantly fed by water from the south. As a result, the lake still stands in the driest place for a span of more than 6 months. In 2005, when the lake reappeared for the last time, it only lasted a week. This time, there is a new scenario around the lake and how long the water will last.  Having said that, nothing specific can be mentioned about how long the lake will stay as the rate of evaporation is still high. Even as I write this article, I realize that the lake may not remain fit for kayaking for long. Still, the lake is likely to exist for some time, offering visitors a renewed site of attraction in the national park.   Overall, the resurgence of the lake and its stay is an “extremely rare event,” as mentioned by the National Park Service authority.   Exploring The Death Valley National Park Lake Area   There is no denying that all roads in the Death Valley National Park lead to the ancient lake, which has come to life. Once you are done taking photographs or seeing the reflection of the surrounding peaks in the water, you can take a walk around the area.   The shores of the lake have a white boundary wall, which is formed because of a high concentration of salt. Further, the Panamint Range, Black Mountains, and barren land surrounding the lake offer you an other-worldly experience.   Moreover, you can explore the nearby looking points in the park to have diverse views of the place. (April 2024)  NASA showed the change in the Death Valley National Park Lake from February to March using SWOT, a U.S.-French Surface Water and Ocean Topography satellite. In just six weeks, the water level came down to 1.5 feet from 3 feet.   The NASA report has further highlighted the temporary nature of the lake and the fact that a gust of a strong wind can move this lake by a couple of miles.  Final Words   With “billions of gallons of water,” the Death Valley National Park lake is alive again. The sapphire blue water in the midst of a barren land shows the magic of nature. In February 2024, the lake became a go-to destination for kayaking, thanks to its 1-foot-deep water. However, by March, the lake was closed to opening, and in April, the lake was transformed into a waterbody of a few inches’ depth.   This has also become a tourist attraction thanks to the most amazing sunrise and sunset views.  Further, there is no assurance or specific information available about how long the lake will last.
