5 Tips To Protect Your Passport While Travelling Abroad

BY  Abdul Aziz Oct 4, 2021

Any visitor's worst nightmare is losing their phone, wallet, or, worse their passport in an unfamiliar location. You have no prior knowledge of the country, its inhabitants, or its language. And if you lose your essentials while traveling overseas, what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation becomes a full disaster. Losing your passport is the worst thing that can happen to you. Because it raises the most fundamental question: how will you get back home? But have no fear: every problem has a solution, and this one is no exception. So, if you ever find yourself in a situation like this, try not to freak out. Inhale deeply and exhale slowly. And once you've searched every nook and cranny and are certain it's gone, there are five basic things you should do if your Indian passport is misplaced while traveling abroad. File An Official Report For Lost Or Missing Passport To begin, locate the nearest police station and register a missing or lost passport complaint. Any travel insurance policy must include this step. It's also crucial information that you should bring to the attention of the embassy or consulate. However, keep in mind that this may not always expedite the procedure of apply for a new passport. Nonetheless, it is critical. A police report can also help you with embassy formalities like obtaining an emergency certificate or a new passport. Visit The Nearest Indian Embassy Or Consulate Next, go to the Indian embassy or consulate in your area. They will assist you in obtaining a new passport. Make an appointment ahead of time by calling ahead. It's also crucial to notify the embassy if your passport has been stolen. Find the one closest to you and acquire their phone number and email address so you may communicate with them. Keep All The Supporting Documents Ready As your appointment with the Indian embassy approaches, it would be preferable if you prepared the necessary documentation to replace your passport. When you visit the embassy, you will be required to submit some documents in addition to the application. It will take around a week to replace a new passport. For this, you must submit the following documents: Personal application stating the need for the new passport's prompt issuance Photocopy of lost passport (front and back pages), passport lost or stolen police report Passport size photos (4 to 6) Photocopy of air tickets and visa You also don't have to wait for a new replacement passport if you need to return to India right away. Simply fill out an application for an Emergency Certificate. This is a travel document that can only be used once. It allows an Indian citizen who has misplaced their passport to return to India without difficulty. You'll need to get your visas stamped anew for both of these alternatives. The following documents are required to apply for an Emergency Certificate: Application by giving an EAP-2 form Passport size photos (4 to 6) Photocopies of passport (Front and back pages) Police report for a lost or stolen passport. Appy For Re-Issue Of Your Visa If you lose your passport while traveling abroad, whatever visas you may have will be lost as well. As a result, you can reclaim your visa by going to the nation's embassy that issued it in the first place. For this process, you'll need a copy of your old visa as well as the police report that was submitted. It would also be beneficial if you had your new replacement passport. Reschedule Your Flight & Claim Travel Insurance On Return If your passport is lost or stolen, you will be unable to travel outside of the foreign nation until you acquire a new passport or an Emergency Certificate. As a result, you may need to reschedule your flight if necessary. Call your airline and let them know what's going on. The sooner you notify the airlines, the more likely you will avoid wasting your money on rescheduling your journey. Before going abroad, it's always a good idea to get travel insurance. If you've done all of this, make a claim for your travel insurance when you get back to India. Make a claim for a missing passport to redeem your insurance. Contact your insurance company as soon as possible, and preserve the police report and any other documents connected to the expenditures paid as a result of the loss of your passport on hand. So, if you lose your passport or it is stolen while on vacation overseas, these are the five things you must do. Above all, remember to be cheerful, take a deep breath, and avoid panicking. If you keep your cool, you'll be able to get through this scenario faster and with less stress. Tips Before Getting a Tattoo In Bali: Exploring Tattoo Tourism At Its Best

BY  Abdul Aziz Sep 16, 2021

Have you heard the term tattoo tourism? It is the practice of getting a design inked on your body as a souvenir of the place you have visited. Bali is a popular hub for tattoo tourism, fusing cultural symbolism with artistic expressions. Further, reputed tattoo parlors, experienced artists, and an affordable cost attract many ink aficionados to this picturesque and culturally rich country. So, do you want to get tattooed in Bali? Here are some tips before getting a tattoo in Bali. Best Tips Before Getting A Tattoo In Bali: Tattoo Tourism At Its Best Aren’t we all fascinated with those beautiful strokes on our skin? No matter how painful it is, we all are big fans. Further, something is thrilling about visiting a country (for tattooing) that exudes a mystical charm.  So, before you start scratching your head and finding the best tattoo place near me, here are a few helpful tips. Tattoo Bali – Tips Before Getting A Tattoo: Aren’t we all fascinated with those beautiful strokes on our skin? No matter how painful it is, we all are big fans of it. So, before you start scratching your head finding the best tattoo place near me, here are a few helpful tips: 1. Search The Best Tattoo Artist In Bali: Everyone has their own set of ideas and opinions about who is the best tattoo artist. Just like not anyone country is the best vacation spot or one kind of dish is the best food. Similarly, the ideals of the best tattoo artist also vary from one person to the other. It may happen that the tattoo artist who was the best for your friend may not prove as good for you or vice versa. So, do not depend on just hear and say. Search thoroughly, go through a number of online reviews and ratings to know more about the style and skill of the tattoo artist. In the end, your mission is just to find a tattoo artist who meets your specific requirements, like a specific style of tattoo Bali that you wish to have or someone who is available on the dates and prices that you want and soon. However, the thing you must not compromise with while selecting a Bali tattoo artist is that you must ensure that the artist works with tattooing practices that are safe and hygienic. Also, you must also make sure that the tattoo shop where the artist works is a nice place and you are comfortable getting inked there. 2. Look For Hygienic Tattoo Studios In Bali: Tips Before Getting A Tattoo In Bali Finding a hygienic and safe tattoo studio or shop is one of the most critical steps in getting a tattoo done.  You must be comfortable in a particular studio besides tattoo design and tattoo artist. Also, you must ensure the studio is entirely safe and uses hygienic tattoo practices. So, you need to thoroughly search for the ideal tattoo studio in Bali. If you want to search for the best tattoo studios in Bali’s regencies, Badung is where you need to get inked.  Other than that, the borders of Badung house the complete southwest coast of tattoo Bali, which the tourists love to explore. For more options, you can also go through over 200 tattoo parlor options in areas like Kuta, Canggu, and Seminyak. Many roadside tattoo artists and tattoo shops in Bali will make your tattoo for 5-10 bucks, but you never make your tattoo from them. This is one of the most crucial tips before getting a tattoo in Bali.  They use poor-quality tattoo equipment, and there is little concern about hygiene and safety.  They use inexpensive, unsafe tattoo inks. This can lead to tattoo infection and other kinds of complications. Always go to reputed tattoo shops, as they use high-quality sterilized equipment and natural and safe tattoo inks. Have a hygienic and safe environment. However, they charge you. Here Are The Names of Few Popular Tattoo Parlors in Bali Are you looking for the best tattoo studios in Bali? Know About The Tattoo Prices In Bali: Another critical concern people usually have before getting inked is that pleasurable tattoos come at what cost? People concerned about getting an appointment with a tattoo artist or studio must know they can do so online or in person. However, many tourists schedule their tattoo Bali appointments in the last days of Bali vacation things to do, because of following the precautions. Up to two weeks of getting a tattoo, you can’t go underwater, surfing, or swimming.  You can only pay at Bali Tattoo Parlors with Indonesian Rupiah because many studios do not accept other currencies or have credit card machines. There is no need to schedule an appointment for a small tattoo, which can be done in a few minutes. Usually, in Bali, the price for most Bali tattoos is calculated per hour, and the rate varies depending on the tattoo artist, tattoo design, and the tattoo studio.  However, the average Bali tattoo price in 2024 was around 1,500,000 IDR, approximately 150 Australian dollars. When making an appointment with the tattoo Bali studio or artist, you will probably also be expected to pay a deposit.  After getting inked, if you are satisfied with the artist's work and the tattoo design, you can give away a generous tip to the artist any day. 4. Know The Meaning Of The Tattoo Design: Tips Before Getting A Tattoo In Bali With tattoo tourism on the rise in Bali, there is a tendency to disrespect a design's religious and philosophical significance. However, in most cases, it happens because of ignorance, and at the same time, no two travelers are the same.  You must learn and appreciate the cultural significance of a tattoo design before getting it inked on your body.  You can discuss this with your local tattoo artist or an expert in Balinese culture to learn about the design you are getting inked.  In addition, these tattoos are more than memories. The body art is an expression of the island’s spirit. So, enjoy the excitement, but be respectful of the tradition.  Did You Know?Mencocoh is the term for traditional tattoo art in Bali. Further, in conventional Balinese tattoos, only black ink needles were used. Also, only the clergies, rulers, and the “elite of shamans” used to wear these tattoos. So, tattooing was only allowed for the people in power and those considered closer to god. Though you will find many secular tattoo designs in Balinese culture today, traditionally, these designs draw inspiration from nature and Hindu gods and goddesses. Further, you will notice the presence of Balinese weapons like chains, daggers, maces, and axes in the design. Moreover, Ongkara, Ung, Ang, and Mang are symbolic Balinese scriptures popularly depicted in tattoos. In addition. Rangda, Kala Raksa, Kala, and other evil figures were common in traditional Bali tattoos.  Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Is it safe to get a tattoo in Bali? If you are careful enough, getting a tattoo in Bali is safe. This means you have to do your research when choosing an artist. Get proper information about the studio and the artist. Ensure you have a good design and look for hygiene in the studio. Above all, looking after the tat is the big challenge. How much do tattoos cost in Bali? Well, it depends upon the size, and so do tattoos worldwide. If it’s small, it will cost $30 to  $85.  The cost will be $80-$850 for medium to large tattoos. Half and full sleeves will cost  $600  to $1.450 and $1.200 to $3.000. What is a tattoo blowout? A tattoo blowout is a tattoo artist pressing too hard while applying the ink to the skin. The ink goes below the top layers of the skin where tattoos belong. The ink spreads out below the skin’s surface on a layer of fat. This starts the blurring associated with a tattoo blowout. Is Bali cheaper than Thailand? Thailand is an expensive place, but it is, overall, a place of high standards. On the other hand, Bali is almost always cheaper in everything. So, if you want tattoos, wait no longer and book the Bali holiday packages from Delhi. Other than just getting a tattoo, have an amazing vacation there! Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try

BY  Abdul Aziz May 1, 2024

Many of the countries in South America are popular for their exquisite and varied cuisine. However, the practices of Paraguay food are not known to many. The Paraguayan Cuisine has been influenced by the local indigenous tribe’s culinary traditions and practices brought by immigrants from Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Being a foodie myself, I love traveling around the world to have a taste of every new variety of food that the world has to offer. Visiting remote areas, meeting with new people, and trying out their traditional dishes is what I have always loved! I was also in your shoes when I first landed in Paraguay, a bit startled and confused. Although, as I began to explore, my first meal at a fancy restaurant in Asuncion changed my entire perception of the state.  Tid-Bits About Paraguay Food Classic Paraguay food includes some of the most exclusive dishes that are bound to beat any of the Peruvian or Argentine preparations. Traditional culinary elements in Paraguay food recipes consist of meat, maize, vegetables, manioc, cheese, fish, milk, and even fruits.  ‘Asado’ is a local term used for barbecue, which is referred to as both a cooking practice and a social event. In Paraguay, barbecuing is the most important mode of cooking their traditional Paraguayan food dishes.  Here in this article, I will elucidate the best dishes and popular foods in Paraguay that you must try in Paraguay this year. The Paraguay famous foods excite your taste buds and have an experience like never before.  1. Kivevé You will be stuck in a dilemma whether to count this as a main course or a dessert. Kieve is the most popular and loved Paraguay food. It is a vegetarian dish that is cooked out of andai (a type of juicy pumpkin), cornmeal, Paraguayan cheese, milk, and sugar. Kieve is a typical food in Paraguay. It has a very creamy and light texture and is orangish in color. This rich-flavored delicacy is served lukewarm and is often consumed as a side dish or even main meal, at breakfasts, and as an evening snack. 2. Chipa Considered a staple Paraguay food, Chipa is a simple bread roll that was invented by the local indigenous people in the 18th century. It is a bun that is made out of manioc or cassava flour, lard, and anise, and beaten eggs and cheese. There are different versions of Chipa available, varying over the regional influences. The bread has a very crunchy crust due to the addition of lard. The crumb is soft and has a unique flavor. It is prepared and consumed by every household in the state.  3. Bori Bori Bori-Bori (Vori-Vori) is a nutritious and flavorful thick soup that is prepared out of vegetables such as carrots, celery, onions. It is filled with meat (chicken or beef) and dumplings of cornmeal plus cheese. The prime flavoring ingredients in this soup are bay leaves, cloves, and parsley. The addition of saffron to this hearty broth makes it even more flavorful and rich golden in color. It must be served piping hot, garnished with some parsley and Paraguayan cheese on the side. It is especially popular during the winters.  4. Sopa Paraguaya This specialty is not what it sounds like. Even though SOPA translates to soup in the local language, it is not at all in the vicinity of any soupy preparations. It is the national dish of Paraguay, which resembles a cakey thick bread.  It is crafted out of cornflour, cheese, milk, and eggs. The flavor is inculcated through the use of onions and pork fat. It is usually baked and is often termed solid soup. It has a soft and crumbly texture and is served on special occasions as a side dish.  5. Mbeju Mbeju, when translated to the local Guarani language, means cake. It is a very simple and staple Paraguay food. It is a kind of starchy pancake that is prepared with cassava flour, salt, oil, milk, eggs, crumbled cheese, and even pork fat. The dough is kneaded well and rolled out thickly like a pancake. It is then fried in hot oil. It is usually consumed during breakfast, sometimes dinner, alongside a bitter herbal tea or coffee.  6. Soyo This is another popular Paraguay food, which is a thick unpassed soup. It is made with beef grounded in a mortar, rice, and vegetables, including green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Soyo is another good example of Paraguay’s famous food.  The dish is flavored with garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. The name is derived from the native Guarani phrase so’o josopy, meaning crushed meat. A whole bowl of soyo can be considered as a complete meal and has a high calorific value.
