This Is What I Felt About Aruba Airlines!

Travel Blog

Have you ever traveled to Aruba? What do you think about Aruba Airlines, the sole Airline working in the country? I was hoping you could read the article to learn about my experience with the Airline and highlight the benefits and the shortcomings.

Mr. Onno J. Swart founded the Flag Carrier. In 2010, charter operations were launched by the Airline by using the seven-seat Piper PA-31 Navajo. Further, in 2012, the Airline acquired exposure leading to an upgrade of its jet aircraft operations.

They operated with two Airbus A320 twin-engined with a capacity of 150 seats. They started covering places such as Venezuela, Panama, Santo Domingo, and Curacao; however, the last two destinations were later suspended.

Along the journey of Aruba Airlines, you can observe that the carrier started pretty well; however, later, the company faced issues with operations and maintenance.

This Is What I Felt About Aruba Airlines!

About Aruba Airlines

Aruba Airlines is a flag carrier founded in 2006 and acts as the sole Airline in Aruba. When it was first launched, it provided services such as charter and scheduled air transport to almost 13 destinations worldwide.

When I boarded one such flight, Bombardier CRJ200, which was leased from Voyageur Airways, I realized that it was spacious and comfortable; hence, there were fewer issues with the seating arrangement. Yet, I have needed help with operations and services.

I will be sharing my experience regarding the benefits and the shortcomings of the Airline. I will explain why I feel about Aruba Airlines the way I do and how the future will pan out!

Benefits Of Flying In Aruba Airlines

According to the official website of the Airline, www.arubaairlines.com, the flights will be suspended from 6 August due to the sanitary measures taken by the Curacao government. There are diverse features that are efficient for their customers.

Great Deals

There are significant deals and offers when customers book their flights. You can exceed different services such as charter, seasonal, and hub, based on which you can access the flights run by Aruba Airlines.

Expert Guidance

You get information regarding the flights’ countries, cities, and airports from which the flights operate. The fleet size of the Airline includes 2 aircraft, where currently only 1 is functioning for Sunair.

Price Match

The prices of the tickets are all mentioned on the official websites, and so are the additional fees. On the website, it is very clear that many of the flights are not functioning, including Bombardier CRJ200.

Easy Cancellation

Due to the self-service options, you can easily cancel the flights based on your convenience and requirements. The services that are informed online are mostly easy to deal with. For one, I didn’t face any issues while booking the tickets.

Disadvantages Of Flying In Aruba Airlines

Disadvantages Of Flying In Aruba Airlines

Significant complaints against Aruba Airlines regarding their services and customer support have occurred. They do not have well-maintained schedules for the flights leading to serious flight delays.

Half of the time, the staff must learn what is happening, which has been quite frustrating for passengers.

No Coordination Between Staff

The staff needs to be more coordinated, and they need to inform the passengers regarding delayed flights or canceled flights.

Food And Beverages

The quality of drinks and food could be better, and apart from that, the prices are not at all affordable.

Customer Service

Customer service or support could be more efficient. The issues with asking for customer service lead to further problems and confusion for passengers.

Reviews About Aruba Airlines

Reviews About Aruba Airlines

According to Tripadvisor, Aruba Airlines has been rated as 2.5 out of 5 based on 129 reviews. The Airline has been complimented about cleanliness and boarding, as some reviews are quite positive about how efficient the staff was regarding the boarding experience.

People are neutral regarding the value of money when booking Aruba Airlines! I am also on the line regarding the prices of the tickets; sometimes, they were expensive, while at times, they were affordable.

The Airline has also not been dedicated enough to its services. My flight was late, and I have found similarities in the experience of many other travelers who should have been notified before the change of time of the flight or their delays.

However, based on most of the reviews, the experience of many fliers has been negative, which justifies their dissatisfaction with the Airline. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the services have further deteriorated.

One such review by Angela Nijhuizen highlights the terrible customer service and support by Aruba Airlines in her comments.

My flight to Las piedras has been cancelled due to closing of Venezuela airspace. After 4 years of contact, begging, sending mail from 2019 march till march 2023 I decided to give up on them. If this airline is going to fly again. Please NEVER EVER fly with this crap. Bad…

Another negative review that further confirms the dissatisfaction of the travelers is made by Angel Garcia, who traveled in January 2022.

This airline who has sold tickets in cuba for thousands of dollars to either Managua, Nicaragua or Georgetown, Guyana , has suspended all flights from cuba and also has shut down their customer service number to any of those who wants to claim their money back , leaving…

A review that acts as a nail in the coffin for Aruba Airlines is done by STZ01, where the traveler was completely frustrated with the cancellation of their flight. I could relate to this frustration, especially because the same thing happened to both of us.

We were informed of the cancellation after we reached the airport. It confirms the need for more professionalism and the communication gap.

My flight was cancelled and I wa snotified when I reached the airport – no previous call/communication. I was promised a refund and six months later am still waiting for this to happen! My advise is to stay away from this airline by all means…

Another review compared the Airline to the plague as the traveler had one of the worst experiences. They also wanted more customer service from the airlines.

Aruba Airlines changed my Curacao to Aruba flight time substantially so I reached out to their Refund Department on February 8th to cancel the flight completely and obtain a full refund. I never heard back from them. I called their Customer Service line twice but was hung up on…

Conclusion

After reading this article, you will understand that there have been considerable service and customer support issues. In my flight experience, this was one of the most haphazard experiences that was completely coordinated, and most of it will be blamed on the company.

Apart from what I felt, I have also highlighted significant reviews by people who have booked tickets with Aruba Airlines. After you read them, you clearly understand why people are unsatisfied with the airline’s services.

Comment below about some of the features that must be present in the airline according to you!

The massive scar at the bottom of the tree trunk gives it a gothic appearance, and it shows how the tree has survived extreme weather conditions throughout the years.   Nevertheless, it’s great to find the “Nation’s Christmas Tree” in a magnificent condition despite the ravages of time.   Did You Know?  The General Grant Tree was designated as a “National Shrine” in 1956.  President Eisenhower declared it a National Shrine to commemorate men and women in the USA armed forces.  It is the only living “National Shrine” in the USA.   Visit The Hume Lake  If you are in for an immersive experience, don’t forget to spend your time by the Hume Lake. This mountain lake is known for its pristine beauty and green water.   The pine trees and unique rock formations surrounding the lake make it appear all the more special.   The Hume Lake is one of the least visited places in Kings Canyon National Park. So, keep the park map handy so as to not miss the beauty of the lake.   Relax At The Gamlin Cabin   The Gamlin Cabin, built by Israel Gamlin, was once used as the U.S. Cavalry storehouse. This wooden cabin with a stone fireplace inside has a quaint appeal.   After catching your breath at Gamlin Cabin, you must continue walking along the trail. At the end of the trail, you will find the other side of the Fallen Monarch tree trunk. The hollow trunk of the tree is a favorite of kids and young adults for some mischievous activities.   From here, you can plan other activities in the national park or get back on the main road 180.   Final Words: Is Kings Canyon Worth The Trip?    With magnificent sequoias, colossal rock formations, and many trails, the Kings Canyon National Park is a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. Further, a drive through the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway offers you some of the most beautiful scenic views of California. Filled with endless bends and twists, this road is only available for driving from April to October.   Also, this glacier-carved valley with deep canyons and high mountains stands for its geological diversity. In addition, this national park is home to the General Grant Tree, the Christmas Tree of the Nation, and Boyden Cavern, with the most intriguing rock formations.   So, overall, this park is a paradise for hikers, geological enthusiasts, wildlife lovers, and people who want to indulge in diverse outdoor pursuits. No wonder that it had 643,065 visitors in 2023. (Source)  Do you want to watch glaciers and meet diverse wildlife? Pay a visit to the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.   Kings Canyon National Park FAQs   How Long Should You Stay In Kings Canyon National Park?   Based on how well you want to explore the Kings Canyon National Park, your stay in the park should be between one to four days. You can finish taking a walk in the grove of the big trees and visiting the most beautiful trails in one day.  However, if you want to explore the Alpine peaks and the deep canyons to the fullest, you will need to stay at least three to four days in the park.   Which Is The Most Beautiful Part Of The Grand Canyon National Park?   The south rim of the Kings Canyon National Park is the most beautiful area according to most visitors to the park. You can experience the most unique views of the Grand Canyon from the southern rim.  Further, from the southern rim, you will get to enjoy the most amazing view of the Colorado River.   What Not To Visit The Grand Canyon National Park?   You must not visit the Grand Canyon National Park in July and August. The weather is hot and humid during these months. Further, thanks to a diverse landscape and unique vegetation, it’s hard to say which season is the best to plan a trip to this park. Different parts of the park become the most attractive in different seasons.  For example, the North Rim of the park is the best place to pay a visit during May and October. The temperature is pleasant during these months, and the crowd is smaller. Similarly, you must hit the southern rim of the park in the fall. The cooler temperature makes hiking and biking in the southern rim easier during the fall season.   Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try. So today, we decided to go to two high-authority websites for guest reviews, Google (rated 4.4/5), and Tripadvisor (rated 3.5/5). Ginnie Springs Reviews On Google: The top Google reviews on Ginnie Springs are as follows, 1. Review By Misty “Amber” Richardson: The springs are beautiful, the water is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. They have inner tube kayaks and paddle boards that you can rent for the day and free life vest rentals, or you can bring your own. You can swim in the springs or float down the river to one of the pickup points. It is a great place for the whole family to spend the day or even go camping. 2. Review By Gavan Berzman: This is one of my favorite places on earth. You're able to camp along the river. It's $30 for a tent site. Clean bathrooms and showers nearby. Lots of grills, picnic tables, and volleyball courts throughout. The springs are absolutely amazing. I always leave feeling like a new man. 3. Review By N Mateo: Views were beautiful. This is a campsite with very reasonable pricing and set-ups. Amenities were great, and showers and restrooms were well maintained. Snack bar on site. The activities include snorkeling, canoes, trails, etc. Cons: quite a few closed off areas, but I will still definitely visit here again. Ginnie Springs Reviews On Tripadvisor: The top reviews about Ginnie Springs on Tripadvisor are as follows, 1. Review By GoPlaces202808: Beautiful place completely ruined by obnoxious college students blaring extremely loud vulgar music throughout the campgrounds at all hours of the night. The quiet hours, which don't even start until midnight, are only loosely enforced. The bathrooms are far too small to handle the crowds and are disgusting by evening time. The tubing exit site should be renamed Beer Can Springs since that is what is mostly seen on the bottom there. 2. Review By Jennifer H: We went previously and had fun, but we paid $20 a person, and we brought our own tunes. There was literally trash floating past us. My daughter actually started picking up trash. I was very unhappy we would not be going back. 3. Review By Exploration577906: Not worth your money and time. We waited 1 1/2 hours just to get in and rent a kayak. Long line, and it doesn’t even move. The security gay does a poor job managing the door, and people come in and out while you wait. And It’s A Wrap! And that’s a wrap on planning a visit to Ginnie Springs located in Florida. What do you think about visiting this much-loved tourist spot in the sunshine state of Florida? If you have already been here in the past, then we would definitely want to find out more about your experience - so feel free to share your thoughts and experiences about Ginnie Springs in the comments below.
