I travel often, and I know many of you do, too. Recently, I tried Play Airlines, a new budget airline popular with Gen Z.   Founded in 2019, Play Airlines follows the motto "pay less, play more." It offers flights from major East Coast cities in the US to destinations like London and Copenhagen.  Also, all these flights are hundreds of dollars less than those of other airlines. This is why it appeals to travelers looking to save money.  The airline carriers are among the best that offer ultra-low fares when traveling to Europe. So the new entrant in the market has appeared in the search results for Transatlantic flights after April 2022. The airline aims to bring visitors to Iceland and connect North America and Europe. The airline started flying in 2021 in Iceland; however, in North America, the service began in April 2022. Do you want to know more about the PLAY Airlines reviews? I will tell you about the airline, its foundation, and my experience? Keep reading!  This Is My Experience With Play Airlines! When the airline carrier was first inaugurated, Play Airlines and Baltimore Airport collaborated to create a good impression in the form of a water cannon salute when the first plane of Play Airline pulled up to the gate. Overall, the first impression was quite well made by Play Airlines. The staff is helpful and interactive. Another added advantage of a low-budget carrier airline. It is unheard of for a low-budget carrier airline to be perfect concerning its services. I would also like to discuss certain shortcomings that I identified. Do give it a go before you book tickets on Play! The flight I traveled on was spacious, clean, and memorable because I was finally traveling to Paris, one of my dream destinations. What Is Play Airlines? Play Airlines is addressed as the Ultra Low-Cost Carrier (ULCC), which is not completely uncommon. However, many carriers have additional charges based on transportation, which ULCC still needs! These airlines are perfect for passengers traveling on a budget like me! My travel plans are concrete, and I am not free to have flexible dates and timings because I have a job! I am also one of those who do not care about luxury or frills added to necessities. Therefore, I am functional when it comes to services such as Wi-Fi and entertainment charging points. Ultimately, I can adjust this much if I am traveling to a destination, especially for a vacation. Play is the successor of Wow Air, a low-cost airline carrier that ran out of service in 2019. So, if you question, is Play Airlines safe? It is. PLAY Airlines Reviews 2025: Did I like It?  So I was traveling to Paris from Boston and was charged $292 for a roundtrip. To begin with, this is quite a cheap deal that I have got on Play Airline. Another significant thing I noticed and did not expect was a comfortable seat and 34 inches of legroom. Isn't that amazing? Finding another airline that gives 34 inches of leg space might be challenging! It is quite unheard of in a budget carrier. The seats are Delta Comfort Plus, which is comfortable, and I was very relaxed throughout the flight. The chairs are tall enough for you to rest your head. As a frequent flier, half of your problems are solved if the seat is comfortable! According to my Play Airlines review, it is quite comfortable to travel with this airline. The space for the leg also helps in extending the tray table. There was no charging extension or plug-ins in the Play flights, which is usually there in transatlantic carriers and U.S. airlines. I found the crew very supportive and helpful. I had a very positive experience while interacting with the crew. No food or snack is free; however, this is one of the side effects of low-budget carriers. I did not see any food or water services throughout the flight except at the beginning and end. What I Found Beneficial? In A321neo, headrests were present in each seat with extra padding and adjustable wings. When you fly Play Airlines, you will get better seating comfort than most of the low-budget flying airlines. The setting does help in creating a more comfortable sleeping position. I also noticed that every seat had its lights and dedicated air vents. It helped me a lot because I am an avid reader, so there was no issue with my entertainment as I almost finished a book on the flight. A significant advantage I found on Play Airlines is that there was no bundling, nor was the fare made complicated concerning overall expenditure. I also found the timings of the flights to be mostly punctual. The connecting flights to Europe via Keflavik are conveniently set. Their food and drink collection is quite decent; you can order based on your requirement. There is also no connectivity, such as Wi-Fi, messaging, or entertainment. What Did I Find Negative?  I have heard that the seat arrangements are a mixed bag, such as seats with 34 inches of leg space, while some seats give you a meager 28 inches of leg space. So, as a traveler, you should search on Google Flights regarding the space of the specific flights of Play Airlines before you book tickets. Make sure to check the legroom extension to have some wiggle room. Another significant shortcoming that I noticed on the flight was that there needed to be more power. As a traveler, one thing that is essential in today's time is charging your phone, which I wasn't able to do because of no power. You will not be getting any refund; hence, in case of cancellation from your side, you will need clarification with the services. Another thing that might look like a chore to you is creating an account to view or book seats and baggage fees. The majority of people from the Pacific Northwest will tell you that the outside world simply does not understand them. Many outsiders have the impression that Washington is a rainy city that lives off lattes, complete with techies and tree huggers. Yes, it has all of that, but the state's vast, unmatched wilderness, difficult to find anywhere else, is what really defines it. To really understand Washington national parks, you need to go beyond the Seattle city limits. Its famous national and state parks will make you speechless. Each presents an entirely distinct interpretation of the 18th largest state in the union. The three national parks in Washington are so large and varied that residents return year after year to explore more areas. Additionally, the more than 100 state parks are comparable, with lesser-known areas offering deserted campsites and uncrowded trails. In addition, there are deep fjords, moss-draped archipelagos for island hopping, snowy volcanic peaks, and canyons carved by Ice Age glaciers. There are also temperate rainforest trails, sea stacks off misty shores, and an abundance of waterfalls. To put it simply, you may want to consider a yearly park pass. Moran State Park There are few places in the Pacific Northwest that compare to the delightfully remote Moran State Park. It is a haven for wild island getaways. Deception Pass State Park This state park in Washington receives the highest number of visitors for two main reasons. The first is the range of outdoor activities it offers close to Seattle. It is a little over an hour’s drive if the traffic is not too heavy. The second is the 360-degree view that can be obtained from the two-span arched Deception Pass Bridge. It towers over the channel, which is a more romantic and compelling reason to visit. Deception Pass State Park encompasses two adjacent islands, Fidalgo and Whidbey. They are popular both for camping and day-use marine adventures. Three freshwater lakes and the surrounding saltwater are accessible from five boat launches. Visit this place to kayak around the coves of the islands, explore their rocky shorelines, and trek through the old-growth forests on a 38-mile network of trails. Beacon Rock State Park On the north bank of the largest river in the Pacific Northwest, Washington offers a more serene and visually appealing experience than Oregon. It protrudes into the Pacific and is divided from the mainland by the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound. This is the most glaciated US landscape outside of Alaska, with over 250 glaciers fed by the snowfall that occurs high in the 2,000-meter-plus Olympic mountains. The vast ice fields feed several significant rivers, which then meander towards the Pacific through temperate rainforests. Travelers can follow the Bogachiel River inland to the Hoh rainforest from its Pacific outlet at La Push to see the highlights. The following day, go in a northeastern direction and ascend to Hurricane Ridge, which offers a stunning vista of the Olympic mountain range. Those with extra time will want to soak in the Sol Duc hot springs and take a scenic stroll to Marymere Falls. Lake Crescent and Sol Duc offer lodging and the park is home to many campgrounds. Wrapping Up Yoking in the center of the Pacific Northwest, Washington State is famous for its breathtaking scenery and varied ecosystems. Kings Canyon National Park is as grand as its name as it has to offer the most versatile landscape. The granite walls, the flowing streams, and the rugged terrain make it a paradise for hikers and geology enthusiasts.  However, with its diverse vegetation of pine trees, grass, and sequoias, the park is also known for its unique driving experience. The rocky roads with the embrace of green trees are surely worth exploring if you want to make memories for a lifetime.   So, if you are a national park freak and want the most memorable experience, your road should lead to the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway.   Kings Canyon National Park Scenic Drive (Kings Canyon Scenic Byway)  As you drive on the main Highway 180 and turn to the east, you will find the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway stretch. The first stoppage along the stretch will be the Junction View.   From Junction View, you can have a panoramic view of the Middle and South Forks of the Kings Canyon. The Kings River carving its way through the landscape makes the view unbelievable. The moment you enter the park at the Big Stump Entrance, you will find the Big Stump Picnic Area, and from there, you can start exploring the big stumps in the park along the Big Stump Trail.  The jungle of old pine trees and the magnificent sequoia trees will offer you the most quaint experience. You will feel humbled by the presence of these towering trees. However, the Mark Twain Stump is the biggest highlight of this trail. This gigantic stump has stairs so that you can climb to the top.   Once you have visited the Mark Twain Stump, you can take up the following ventures.  Visit The Grant Grove Village   From the Big Stumps Trail, you must make your journey toward the Grant Grove Village. There, you will find the Kings Canyon Visitor Center.  You will meet rangers at this visitor center and find the best recommendations about your journey in the national park. Once you know the hiking points and the highlights of the park and have a hiking map handy, you are all set to make the most of the national park.   The rangers will also guide you with instructions about the routes to be avoided for a particular season.   Hike Through The General Grant Loop Trail   As the name suggests, the General Grant Loop Trail is filled with gigantic trees. You can take a peaceful walk here.   Keep Walking Through The Fallen Monarch   A giant fallen sequoia tree with a hollow trunk is known as the Fallen Monarch. It is fun to play around with the hollow trunk, and you can use it as a shortcut to connect two sides of the General Grant Loop.   Meet The General Grant Tree  The 1700-year-old General Grant Tree is surely the pride of the Kings Canyon National Park. The massive scar at the bottom of the tree trunk gives it a gothic appearance, and it shows how the tree has survived extreme weather conditions throughout the years.   Nevertheless, it’s great to find the “Nation’s Christmas Tree” in a magnificent condition despite the ravages of time.   Did You Know?  The General Grant Tree was designated as a “National Shrine” in 1956.  President Eisenhower declared it a National Shrine to commemorate men and women in the USA armed forces.  It is the only living “National Shrine” in the USA.   Visit The Hume Lake  If you are in for an immersive experience, don’t forget to spend your time by the Hume Lake. This mountain lake is known for its pristine beauty and green water.   The pine trees and unique rock formations surrounding the lake make it appear all the more special.   The Hume Lake is one of the least visited places in Kings Canyon National Park. So, keep the park map handy so as to not miss the beauty of the lake.   Relax At The Gamlin Cabin   The Gamlin Cabin, built by Israel Gamlin, was once used as the U.S. Cavalry storehouse. This wooden cabin with a stone fireplace inside has a quaint appeal.   After catching your breath at Gamlin Cabin, you must continue walking along the trail. At the end of the trail, you will find the other side of the Fallen Monarch tree trunk. The hollow trunk of the tree is a favorite of kids and young adults for some mischievous activities.   From here, you can plan other activities in the national park or get back on the main road 180.   Final Words: Is Kings Canyon Worth The Trip?    With magnificent sequoias, colossal rock formations, and many trails, the Kings Canyon National Park is a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. Further, a drive through the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway offers you some of the most beautiful scenic views of California. Filled with endless bends and twists, this road is only available for driving from April to October.   Also, this glacier-carved valley with deep canyons and high mountains stands for its geological diversity. In addition, this national park is home to the General Grant Tree, the Christmas Tree of the Nation, and Boyden Cavern, with the most intriguing rock formations.   So, overall, this park is a paradise for hikers, geological enthusiasts, wildlife lovers, and people who want to indulge in diverse outdoor pursuits. The weather is hot and humid during these months. Further, thanks to a diverse landscape and unique vegetation, it’s hard to say which season is the best to plan a trip to this park. Different parts of the park become the most attractive in different seasons.  For example, the North Rim of the park is the best place to pay a visit during May and October. The temperature is pleasant during these months, and the crowd is smaller. Similarly, you must hit the southern rim of the park in the fall.
