With its huge coastline, it is a perfect haven for beach lovers and surfers. Why don't you read the blog as I prepare a list of the top 10 beaches you must visit when in Sydney? From busy beaches like Bondi and Bronte to remote spots like Manly Beach, you can find solitude. With activities and dining options spread across the area, you will not only relax but also make beautiful memories. Bondi Beach You must check out Bondi Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Australia; there is plenty to do and see. There are also Ladies Baths and Wylie's Baths to the south of the beach for your convenience if you take a dip. This place is popular with families, especially because there's plenty of space for children to run around. Freshwater Beach You must travel to Sydney's northern beaches to reach Freshwater Beach, a hub of different types of activities! From playing with your family members on the sand to surfing and swimming, this region is perfect for a day on the beach! At the north end of the beach, there is a rock pool where you can practice your swimming laps! It is also a perfect place for picnics and barbecue parties. People from the nearby reserve also use it as a playground and for get-together parties. Bronte Beach Bronte Beach is a picnic spot in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Adjacent parks offer barbecue areas, shaded spots to hang out with friends and family, and a playground for the kids. There are several spectacular rock pools right on the southern headland that you can access without paying any extra charge. You can check out the veggie burgers and homemade cakes at the Bogey Hole Cafe if you are a foodie. Another popular restaurant in that area is Three Blue Ducks, which modernizes Australian lunches and breakfasts! The waves at this place are a little rockier, so be careful when surfing, especially if you are a beginner. Marley Beach A heavenly abode, you can hang out in solitude by strolling across the sands. It blends crystal-clear waters and dunes into a captivating scene worth visiting. There is no shortage of things to do in Australia! To reach Marley Beach, you must walk about 4.5 kilometers along the scenic coastal path across the Bundeena trail. The beach is a further 20 minutes' walk. It is not for you if you don't like hiking or trekking. I want to warn you about the strong currents on this beach; it's not very safe to swim! Tamarama Beach I suggest you visit this beach in late October because they are organizing a sculpture during the sea festival. Remember, this beach is just a few hundred meters from Bronte Beach, so you can easily walk here; the sand is silky and soft. The waves at this beach are amazing, and if you are a surfer, this is the place for you. A park surrounds the area, so you can visit with family or a partner. You can access a playground, a barbecue area, and a cafe. The place is so glamorous that it has been named "glamarama," and with its pristine shoreline, it was an amusement park with elephant rides and a roller coaster. I will advise against swimming at this beach because it is quite dangerous. You must heed the lifeguard warnings because it is quite serious. Manly Beach This one of the beaches in Sydney is known for its surfing scene, so you can visit with your friends or partner to soak up some beach vibes and taste the local culture. Manly hosts the Australian Open of Surfing competition in February. You can chill around in the sand while you take local lessons to improve your surfing experience. If you don't have experience, I wouldn't recommend surfing there. You can also sunbathe, have a picnic, or enjoy a delicious Slurpee! Nielsen Park Nielsen Park is in Sydney's eastern suburbs, close to the Vaucluse neighborhood. The beach is the perfect place to escape from your hectic everyday routine. You can access several facilities, including toilets, sheltered seating areas, and more. There is a scenic walking trail along the foreshore that you can take with your partner. There are also shaded picnic areas where you can hang out with your family, friends, or partner. Shelly Beach This is one of the top spots in Australia for diving and snorkeling! This beach is in Sydney's northern region, so you will have spectacular ocean views. There is a surf club at the end of the south end of Manly, so if you follow the coastline for about 15 minutes, you can reach it here. If you snorkel, you should bring your snorkelling gear to explore the shallow cove and its clear water. The cove is protected within the marine reserve of Cabbage Tree Bay. Often, Surfers plan to go to the other side of the beach through "The Bower",” a shallow-breaking surf wave. You can easily have a barbecue party, as facilities are available, along with access to a restaurant, Le Kiosk. Milk Beach This beach is in Sydney's eastern suburbs; Milk Beach is a quiet, small getaway! It is a cool place to go fishing, swimming, and snorkeling. There are also several rock formations just at the edge of the beach. You will get a lovely sunset view of the Sydney skyline from these rock formations. However, there is the issue of no facilities at the beach. You won't find any amenities or services. So you'll need to walk through Nielsen Park from Shark Beach to access toilets and picnic areas. Remember the Hermitage Foreshore trail; if you take a short hike or walk through, you can enjoy some stunning coastal views. The wildlife of Yellowstone National Park is as fascinating as its geology. So, along with the geysers, many tourists also visit this park to explore its wildlife. You just need to know the spots well to encounter these wild creatures, with respect, of course.  Here, I will give you a brief idea about the mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish found in this park. I will also share where to spot them.  Mammals You Will See At Yellowstone National Park May to June or spring is the ideal season for watching mammals at Yellowstone National Park. You will especially get to see many bears and wolves in this season. Further, at the advent of the fall season, this park has elk bulls in great numbers.  Moreover, mammals like elk, bulls, and bison are also visible in the park in winter. Winter is also a great time to glimpse the Lamar Valley wolves. So, watching wildlife at Yellowstone National Park is a year-round activity.  Tour and Travel Tips For Wildlife Watching At Yellowstone National ParkTrek the park in the early morning or evening to have better visibility of the wildlife. However, you need to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards and follow all safety regulations, as bears can get violent, especially when they are with their cubs.  Elk Where to Find: Lamar Valley, Madison Canyon, Mammoth Valley Best Time to Find: September to November Due to the impressive antlers, elks are probably the most photographed animals in this national park. Do you know that the antler of an elk can grow up to 6 feet? Moose and deer, closely related to elks, are other prominent park mammals. Moose is the largest of the Cervidae family, and elks are the second largest.  Further, moose are seen in the park’s marshy areas and near water bodies. Bighorn Sheep Where to Find: Gardner Canyon and Near the Yellowstone River Best Time to Visit Bighorn Sheep in Yellowstone National Park - November and December The large and curved horns of bighorn sheep make them stand out. You will find these horns on the males. Bighorn sheep live in a herd, and in the fall season, the males get involved in loggerheads to win over their female companion.  There is one fascinating fact about bighorn sheep. When a baby bighorn sheep (lamb) is born, it can climb and walk within one day. Wolves Where to Find: Throughout the Park Best Time to See Wolves: May to June Around 100 wolves live in the Yellowstone National Park. Leopold packs, Yellowstone Delta, and Slough Creek are the biggest wolf packs in the park.  Wolves are native to the park. However, in 1995, they were re-introduced here.  Along with the types discussed, you will also find mammals like coyotes, martens, red foxes, wolverines, mule deer, marmots, and more in the park. Overall, around 67 species of mammals live here.  Amphibians In Yellowstone National Park Thanks to a unique geology, there are various ponds and wetlands across the Yellowstone National Park. Here, you will find the following varieties. Boreal Chorus Frog Western Tiger Salamander Western Toad Columbia Spotted Frog Plains Spadefoot Toad Further, these amphibians play a crucial role in the maintenance of the terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems of the park. Many mammals, birds, reptiles, and even fish prey on them. Also, they eat many vertebrate and invertebrate creatures to balance the food chain. Moreover, the amphibians in the park are indicators of high pollution rates or changes in the weather. They even indicate the advent of diseases and the arrival of any nonnative species.  So, research on amphibian populations in the park is crucial to know about any impending danger that may affect the ecosystem.  Reptiles At Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone has six species of reptiles. However, there is a greater scope for studying and identifying these reptiles. As of today, the reptile species found in the park are: Terrestrial garter snake Common garter snake Rubber boa Prairie rattlesnake Bullsnake Sagebrush lizard Prairie rattlesnake is the only venomous snake in the park, while bullsnake is the largest variety found here.
