Best Hotels In Paris: Understanding How They Are Supporting The City’s Tourism Today

BY  Sibashree Apr 28, 2025

This time, I was on a 2-day Paris travel and was working on how the best hotels in Paris have been supporting the thriving tourism scene in the city. I did my case study on the hotels near Opera Paris France, to get the entire picture.  I also had the opportunity to meet the leaders of Citadines Apart'hotel Opéra Paris, which The Ascott Limited operates. They shared their insights and observations with me. Paris had a footfall of 11.2 million during the Summer Olympics of 2024. The success story with great numbers continued as Paris consolidated the Olympics’ success for the rest of the year.  This boost in the number of tourists has further facilitated growth in the hospitality sector. The French hospitality sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.34% from 2023 to 2028.  However, these two booming industries are also bearing the wrath of overtourism in the city.  So, there could not be a better time to delve deeper into how the best hotels in Paris have been supporting tourism so far. Also, we need to talk about how they respond to minimize the impact of overtourism with sustainable practices.  Best Hotels In Paris: Working And Growing With The Tourism Industry Of The City The best hotels in Paris are beyond tourist accommodations. With luxury in mind and an upscale shift, these hotels are influencing the spending patterns of tourists.  France was the most-visited country in the world in 2024, with an unbelievable footfall of around 100 million.  Now, a large number of these tourists look for accommodations in luxury hotels. With their hotel expenses and overall luxury spending increasing, the city gains revenue.  This approach aligns with what Nathalie Delattre, the French Minister of Tourism, stated in response to the anticipated tourism boom in France for 2024.  “We need to work to increase the average each visitor spends and get our visitors to stay longer.” The impact of hotels in Paris on tourist spending patterns extends beyond the standalone tourism and hospitality industry. It’s about the overall GDP and economy of the city.  But the “luxury experience” here is not to scare you if you are a tourist. It does not mean that you cannot visit Paris within a budget. It’s true that Paris, as a travel destination, is somewhat expensive, and accommodations are pricier than those in similar setups in other countries. However, the city offers a diverse range of hotel tariffs. A Shared Market Space Creating Discord Between The Hotel And Tourism Sectors? A shared market space!  This has been one of the biggest challenges for the top hotels in Paris, as they collaborate with the tourism industry to boost the city’s economy.  Now, services like AirBnb are offering more flexibility in booking and better pricing options. So, of course, there is the “price sensitivity” factor. Additionally, Airbnb is eager to seize opportunities, as it did during the Summer Olympics in Paris last time.   Airbnb was the official sponsor of the Paris Olympics, and it played a significant role in the 44% surge in short-term rental bookings in 2024 from the summer of 2023.  Also, Airbnb was direct when it approached the visitors of the Paris Olympics to avoid the “touristy side of Paris" and book short-term rentals on the “Paris-y side of Paris.” Moreover, Airbnb, through the “Airbnb500 Travel Grant,” offered discounts to tourists visiting Paris during the 2024 Summer Olympics.  Now, with discounted pricing and Parisians willing to give up their accommodation on rent through Airbnb, many hotels in Paris have suffered.  "The rate discounting that's happened, the occupancy levels, they're definitely being suppressed and compressed by the short-term rental market, without question.”Blake Reiter, Director of Research, Lighthouse Having said that, the best hotels in Paris have been able to keep their presence strong as they cater to the group of tourists seeking a high-end experience.  Additionally, city officials have introduced restrictions on short-term rentals to prevent Airbnb and similar businesses from causing significant harm to the hospitality industry.  Moreover, in November 2024, France approved an “Anti-Airbnb Bill” to control the increase in vacation rentals.  So, the threats of a shared market space have become less for the best hotels in Paris and other parts of France.  Overtourism In Paris: How The Best Hotels In Paris Respond To It? The best hotels in Paris had a slow start in summer 2024. However, with the Summer Olympics inching closer, occupancy rates in these hotels increased despite challenges from Airbnb and other short-term rental services.  During the summer Olympics, the hotel occupancy rate in this area reached 84%. Of course, there was revenue growth with a higher occupancy rate, discounts, and non-refundable rooms for tourists.  Still, the housing industry could not avoid an accommodation crunch, hygiene issues, safety threats, and other impacts of overtourism.  A sustainable collaboration between the best hotels in Paris and tourists is crucial. It will minimize the environmental impact and enhance the overall quality of life in the city.   For example, The Ascott Limited's sustainability program has helped me understand how the best hotels in Paris are doing it right. They are trying to minimize the impact of overtourism on the city’s environment and natural resources. Showing Commitment To Sustainability The Ascott Limited is sincere about taking care of the environment. Also, it has earned the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Committed status.  Moreover, Ascott Limited aims to achieve GSTC-Accredited Body certification for its global portfolio by 2028.  The sustainability program, known as “Ascott CARES,” is based on five fundamental pillars, and those are: Respect Alliance Community Environment  Supply Chain Also, Ms. Beh Siew Kim from Ascott has mentioned that sustainability has always been a key priority for the business. “The Ascott Limited aiming to have all their properties certified by GSTC-accredited Certification Bodies by 2028 where applicable* is a testament to how serious they are committed as an organization to environmental and social responsibility. We applaud Ascott’s leadership and vision in prioritizing sustainability, and I am confident that their efforts will set a benchmark for others in the sector to follow.”Randy Durband, CEO, The Global Sustainable Tourism Council With Ascott Limited as an example, the best hotels in Paris are also redefining the tourism landscape. They are also trying to fight overtourism by building a sustainable future.

Getting married in Italy feels like "the dream" for many. Rolling Tuscan hills, timeless Roman architecture, enchanting Venetian canals, and sunsets over the Amalfi Coast. It’s all straight out of a romance novel!  If you’ve set your heart on saying “I do” in bella Italia, planning your destination wedding could become one of the most exciting (but also potentially overwhelming) chapters of your love story. Villa Cimbrone, Ravello This is one of the most prestigious villa hotels in Italy. The infinity terrace and gardens are worth a visit, even if you do not choose them as your wedding destination. The hotel can host up to 150 people. This hotel features various beautiful areas where you can hold your wedding ceremony or reception. Your guests will be able to enjoy the wedding with the breathtaking views. Things To Consider While Planning a Destination Wedding In Italy There’s much to consider. But when it comes down to it, there are five key pillars of planning a destination wedding in Italy. These are the elements that ensure your big day is unforgettable, for all the right reasons. Here they are. Pillar #1: Choosing the Perfect Location Italy is your wedding canvas, offering diverse and breathtaking backdrops. So your first major decision is picking the perfect spot for your celebration. Each region of Italy offers its unique flair. Tuscany offers rustic elegance, complemented by vineyards and golden landscapes. The Amalfi Coast offers unparalleled seaside glamor with pastel-colored cliffs. Venice is ideal for those who’ve dreamed of gondola rides and Old World charm. Rome is for couples eager to tie the knot among storied ruins and grand piazzas. Lake Como caters to luxury seekers with its sparkling waters and celebrity vibes. When making this decision, consider the vibe you want to create. Are you dreaming of a barefoot beachside ceremony, or is a grand villa more your style?  Your dream destination wedding in Rome or your idyllic Tuscan nuptials amid the vines can equally be yours for the taking. Also, consider the travel logistics for you and your guests.  Proximity to airports, local accommodations, and weather during your wedding month play crucial roles. Best advice? Visit the location ahead of time if you can. Savor the food, stroll around the venue, and immerse yourself in the atmosphere. It’s the perfect excuse for a romantic pre-wedding getaway. Pillar #2: Navigating Legal Requirements Italy is the place of fairytales. However, bureaucracy is something that you will have to handle with firm hands. There are specific legal requirements for couples planning to get married in this area. Particularly for foreigners, so you have to take care of this during preparation as well. You will need various documents, such as birth certificates, passports, a Certificate of No Impediment, and an Atto Notorio. This means that there is no issue with this marriage. You might have to translate the documents into Italian and authenticate them with an Apostille stamp. The process is different for different religions, nationalities, or civil marriages. For instance, Catholic weddings would require additional paperwork, such as proof of baptism. It is advisable to hire a local wedding planner or legal consultant to save you a significant amount of time. This way, you will be able to focus on the ceremony, on the union and the love you both have for one another. Pillar #3: Selecting the Right Vendors Finding the right vendors is often the most critical part of bringing your wedding vision to life. From caterers to photographers, Italian weddings thrive on exceptional attention to detail. Here’s why it’s worth investing both time and money in researching the best: Catering: Italy is renowned for its incredible cuisine. Whether you’re dreaming of Neapolitan pizza, creamy risotto, or a traditional five-course Tuscan meal, ensure your menu reflects the region and your tastes. Don’t forget the wine pairings! Florists: Local florists know their seasonal blooms best, so collaborate with them to bring your floral dreams to life. Photographers/Videographers: You want someone who understands both you and the Italian ambiance. Look for professionals who specialize in destination weddings and have experience working with natural light in dramatic settings. Hair & Makeup Artists: Trust experts familiar with the Italian climate, as nobody wants their makeup melting under the Mediterranean sun. Consider asking your venue for an approved vendor list, or, if you’re going solo without a local planner, spend extra time reading reviews and reviewing portfolios. Pillar #4: Creating a Seamless Guest Experience When you have invited your whole family and the entire friends group to join you on your special day, thousands of miles away, you will want to ensure that they have an amazing time from the moment they arrive. You have to think it through to make it an amazing experience, and not just any other wedding ceremony.  Arrange group transportation to make sure everyone arrives on time. You can provide personalized welcome kits with some local goodies to kickstart their day. Include a note mentioning all the things they can do in the area, starting with the best gelato spots and ending with the most romantic sights. For the wedding day, ensure you have prepared well and communicated the sequence of events and timing to your guests. Provide them with printed itineraries to understand. Plan some casual events to spend quality time with your loved ones. Lastly, ensure that the accommodation is according to your budget. Additionally, it is advisable to book rooms in advance so that they do not have to search for their rooms throughout the entire facility. Pillar #5: Planning for the Unexpected No wedding, no matter how perfectly planned, goes 100% according to schedule. Adding in the complexity of being in another country, unexpected hiccups may feel inevitable. However, with proactive planning, minor issues can stay just that — minor. Here are tips to prepare for the unexpected: The weather is unpredictable. Have a solid rain plan in place for outdoor weddings, such as having tents or indoor venues on standby, to ensure a seamless event. Language differences? Ensure you’ve someone bilingual on hand during key moments, such as vendor negotiations. Keep extra copies of essential documents in both digital and physical formats for added security. Budget for the unexpected. This includes currency exchange rate fluctuations or last-minute logistical adjustments. Hiring a local wedding planner who specializes in destination weddings can also help smooth over surprises before they even hit your radar! So, When is The Wedding? A destination wedding in Italy is undeniably a big undertaking, but it’s also the adventure of a lifetime! From choosing the perfect location to collaborating with talented Italian vendors, every step of the planning process brings you closer to your dream day. While challenges like legal documents and unexpected weather may arise, taking the time to prepare for them—and seeking help from local experts—allows you to focus on savoring your moment.

Beaches In Spain: Playing Important Roles In Leisure And Beach Tourism In The Country

BY  Sibashree Apr 24, 2025

Hola, Spain!  It’s always difficult for me to write about Spain, as I am so smitten with its charm; the “efervescencia” shoots up like anything! I am aware that overtourism is a significant concern in the country, with the number of visitors expected to reach 115 million by 2040. Additionally, ongoing protests are taking place in Barcelona and other parts of the country.  Still, the enérgica is not lost, as amidst all these things, there is news about the launch of the La Palma cable car project offering the best views of the mountain routes and volcanoes.  Additionally, the overall leisure tourism market in Spain appears stable, with a steady increase in international visitor footfall, reaching over 85 million in 2023.  Now, the unique landscape of Spain, including the mountains and beaches, has contributed to the growth of leisure tourism in the country.  While the mountains in Spain are beautiful, the beach tourism industry in the country is demanding special attention by adopting diversification, sustainability, and a zeal to explore new markets.  So, in this Tour and Travel Blog, we will talk about the best beaches in Spain. We will also shortly touch upon the fact that cannabis in Spain (a favorite of the beach goers in Spain) is transforming the leisure tourism landscape of the country. What Is The Best Time To Visit The Beaches In Spain? Is this your first time in Spain?  Are you planning a trip to Barcelona to explore its beautiful beaches? Or do you have plans to explore other options, such as La Concha Beach?  First, you need to determine the optimal time to plan a visit. Spain, being one of the best summer destinations in Europe, sees a surge in the number of visitors to the beaches from early May.  However, the beach season in Spain reaches its peak in July and August, and it continues till October. What Are The Best Beaches In Spain? Are There Nude Beaches In Spain? Yes, there are nude beaches in Spain. We will be getting into the details about them shortly.  However, before that, I must elaborate on how beach tourism in the country is about to reach new heights with a more sustainable approach and diversification.  The Spanish beach tourism industry is expected to grow at a rate of 6.7% from 2024 to 2028. Furthermore, the tourism industry is striving to be more experience-driven, responsible, and informed, leveraging data intelligence.  Overall, the Spanish beach tourism industry aims to minimize its environmental impact, even during the ongoing crisis of overtourism, while exploring new global tourist markets.  1. La Concha Beach: Best Beaches In Spain For Couples ‣ Location: Santa Clara Island La Concha Beach is a prominent landmark in Santa Clara Island. Also, packed with history, it is also referred to as the “Queen of Beaches.” Isabella II of Spain frequently visited this beach during her reign to alleviate her skin problems.  Furthermore, the beach derives its name from its conch shell-like shape.  2. Sant Sebastià Beach: The Longest Beach In Barcelona Sant Sebastià Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Barcelona, Spain. It is also the longest in Barcelona.  Again, along with Barceloneta beach, it is one of the oldest beaches to have bathing facilities.  Once you are done with all the beach fun, don’t forget to pay a visit to La Sagrada Familia, which is the “largest unfinished Catholic Church in the world.” It is indeed one of the best European landmarks for you. 3. Ses Illetes: The Unexplored Beauty In Spain ‣ Location: Formentera Island Ses Illetes is a beautiful juxtaposition of two beaches that are opposite each other. One of these two beaches is windy, and the sea is tranquil on the other beach.  Enjoy the sound of winds and waves with underlying silence on these beaches. You can take a boat ride from Denia or Ibiza to reach Ses Illetes.  4. Playa de Bolonia: The Unexplored Beauty In Spain ‣ Location: Cádiz Playa de Bolonia remains largely unexplored, which is perhaps its greatest asset.  The beach is windy. So, you will find dunes forming on the beach.  Also, once you are done exploring the beach, you can visit the remains of Baelo Claudia, a Roman Village. The remains also include a theatre that could once accommodate around 2000 spectators.  5. Playa de Mundaka: A Beach Inside A UNESCO World Heritage Site The actual name of Playa de Mundaka is Laidatxu. The tubular water waves here make swimming a challenge, even for the most experienced swimmers.  Further, the beach is in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  6. Gran Canaria: Best Beaches In Spain For Families Gran Canaria is the third-biggest island in the Canary Islands. It is also very populous.  Nestled in the magnificent Atlantic Ocean, Gran Canaria is also known as the “Miniature Continent.” It is a wonderful fusion of dunes, peaks, pine forests, and beaches.  7. Nude Beaches In Spain: Shedding Off Your Inhibitions The nude beaches in Spain are all about being yourself and letting go of inhibitions. Clothing is optional on these beaches, and you can soak in the Sun as long as your sunscreen allows.  Popular nude beaches in Spain are: Playas de Vera in Andalucia Aguas Blancas Beach, Spain Playa del Ambolo in Javea 8. Playa de Los Muertos: A Pristine Beach With White Sand ‣ Location: Cabo de Gata, Almeria You will not miss the pristine charm of the Caribbean beaches once you visit Playa de Los Muertos in Spain.  Reach the Cabo de Gata-Níjar natural park, and from there, visit the Los Muertos beach. You will love the magnificent stretch of white sands here.  Also, the left side of Playa de Los Muertos is one of the most popular nude beaches in Spain.  9. Charco Azul: A Beautiful Prehistoric Spot ‣ Location: El Hierro, Santa Cruz de Tenerife The Canary Islands are a gold mine if you want to explore the beaches in Spain. And how can you overlook Charco Azul, one of the most beautiful natural pools in this region? The sinuous lava formations here make the landscape surreal. Further, the sounds of the wave add to the drama.  Get into the pool through the wooden stairs. Also, I love Charco Azul for its inclusivity. The wooden platform here allows an easy descent for those with mobility issues. Loved The Beaches In Barcelona And The Canary Islands? Double The Fun With Recreational Cannabis The recreational cannabis market in Spain is about to reach US$1.94 billion in 2029. This data shows that Spain is definitely doing it right when Las Vegas is experiencing a major setback in cannabis tourism.  The social clubs in Spain, especially, are making recreational cannabis more accessible and safer by embracing ethical practices.

Is The Bahamas Safe For Tourists? Can I Travel To The Bahamas Right Now?

BY  Sibashree Apr 23, 2025

Is the Bahamas safe? Trust me! My mailbox is getting flooded with this question from the tourism businesses and professionals I know.  I think that the recent announcement from the Trump administration to avoid visiting the Bahamas has raised this concern.  But why is this sudden announcement? The growing crime rate, unsafe boating practices, and a rise in shark attacks have prompted the US State Department to issue an advisory on 31st March 2025 and an urgent warning against Americans visiting the Bahamas.  Now, the Bahamas, with the largest economy in the Caribbean, has often been under the radar as a nation with a Level 2 travel caution.  Level 2 caution means that a traveler needs to “exercise increased caution” while planning a trip to the Bahamas.  So, can I travel to the Bahamas right now? Yes, you can, but with increased safety precautions.  Do you want to know about travel safety in the Bahamas? You will find all the details in this Tour and Travel Blog. Is The Bahamas Safe? Hear It From The Travel Advisories "Violent crime—like armed robberies, burglaries, and sexual assaults—can occur anywhere in The Bahamas.”The Bahamas Travel Advisory, Bureau of Consular Affairs, The US Department of State Now, this is not great news for the Bahamas, a country heavily reliant on tourism. Further, in February this year, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism confirmed the arrival of 11.22 million international visitors in 2024.  Everyone was pleased to see that the country had recorded such high numbers despite the ravages of hurricanes such as Oscar and Milton.  However, we cannot deny the fact that the Bahamas started the year 2024 with frequent reports of murders. The homicide rate in the Bahamas in 2024 was 29.7. It was a sharp 8% increase from the murder rate of 2023. No wonder that the growing number of crimes has raised concerns across the globe. We can consider the travel advisories issued by the governments of the USA, UK, and Canada as responses to the growing crisis.  1. The Bahamas Travel Advisory, The Bureau Of Consular Affairs, The USA Caution Level: Level 2, Increased Caution Date Issued: 31st March, 2025 Is Nassau Bahamas safe for tourists? No, it is not. In fact, Nassau, Freeport, and various areas in the Grand Bahama Islands and New Providence are not suitable for travelers.  There has been disturbing news of residents getting killed by gang members in these areas. The Bahamas Travel Advisory advises against selecting a vacation rental property without personal security guards.  Along with instructions on how to practice increased caution in these areas, the US Travel Advisory has also shared the following guidelines.  Safety Related To Weapons And Ammunition  Carrying firearms and ammunition is not allowed in the airport. If you are carrying one, even by mistake, you can face detention, jail, and more severe punishments.  The advisory tells a visitor to avoid combating robbery or theft physically. Moreover, a traveler must keep the doors of their room locked and use safety measures to avoid security threats.  Beach Safety: Is The Bahamas Safe?  Many unauthorized or unlicensed companies operate watercraft services in the Bahamas. However, the recent incidents of sexual assaults in downtown Nassau beaches have made it difficult to enjoy beach activities freely in Nassau.  Also, there has been news about the growing number of deaths caused by snorkeling and swimming.  Moreover, there has been an alarming rise in the number of shark attacks in the Bahamas. Unregulated Boating And Jet Ski Rides  Due to the lack of regulation in the Bahamas' boating industry, boating-related accidents are common in the country.  Also, sexual assaults during jet ski rides are common in the Bahamas.  So, you must only choose watercraft services that have the right insurance and licenses. ⁕⁕ “Due to the risks, U.S. government employees are prohibited from using jet skis and personal watercraft rented from independent operators on New Providence and Paradise islands.” ⁕⁕ 2. The Bahamas Travel Advice From The Government Of Canada: Is The Bahamas Safe?  Caution Level: “Exercise a high degree of caution” Date Issued: 8th April, 2025 The Bahamas Travel Advice from the Government of Canada is very similar to the Bahamas Travel Advisory issued by the USA government.  However, a few additional points are there in the Government of Canada's Bahamas Travel Advice.  For example, it asks you to be careful about not having spiked food. Criminals in Canada often add drugs to food and drink to commit robbery or sexual assault.  Further, the travel advice highlights road safety precautions, especially while driving through areas like Nassau.  It asks the travelers to keep the doors of the car locked and windows rolled up. Moreover, you must not get out of the car and try to remove anything that’s obstructing your road.  It can be a trick to rob or assault you as soon as you get out of the car.  Moreover, the advisory talks about water and power supply shortages in the Bahamas. Hurricanes are frequent, and Milton and Oscar are two hurricanes that have left major impacts on the Bahamas recently.  Hurricanes create problems in power supply, water supply, and the availability of essential services. So, always keep an adequate supply of water.  3. Are The Bahamas Safe For Families? The “Foreign Travel Advice Bahamas” By The UK Government Violent crimes, sexual assaults, and drink spiking are the most prominent crimes that travelers need to be alert about when traveling to the Bahamas.  Furthermore, despite the potential for the Bahamas to experience substantial growth in adventure tourism, safety concerns related to swimming and water sports are causing major problems.  Also, the Foreign Travel Advice Bahamas issued by the Government of the United Kingdom highlights the possible problems for LGBT+ travelers and how a traveler from the UK will experience major cultural differences there. “In The Bahamas, same-sex sexual relations have been legal since 1991, with an age of consent of 18. However, LGBT+ travellers should be aware that showing affection in public may receive unwanted and negative attention. Showing affection in public, especially for same-sex couples, is uncommon.”Foreign Travel Advice Bahamas  Are The Bahamas Safe For Families, And Why We Still Love The Bahamas See, the questions like “Is it safe to walk in the Bahamas?” or “Is the Bahamas safe for families?” will not fade anytime soon, as the crime rates are high in the country.  Also, countries such as the USA, the UK, and Canada have issued travel advisories that highlight almost the same major issues.  Having said that, we still love the Bahamas, which has endless stories about the voyages of Vasco da Gama, and it is the home to the Pirates of the Caribbean.  The major tourist attractions in the Bahamas are Nassau, the capital city, Freeport, Andros Island, San Salvador, and Exuma Cays.

What Is The Closest Beach To Chattanooga, Tennessee? The Ultimate Beach Fun With Camping

BY  Sibashree Apr 22, 2025

With Tennessee tourism recording a visitor spending of $30.6 billion in 2023, the state is anticipating robust growth in the tourism sector.  However, what Tennessee lacks is a beautiful ocean beach. Being a landlocked state, the state misses out on the perks of beach tourism.  So, during our stay in Chattanooga, we did not know where to go for an outdoor swim and all the beach fun.  We all loved the Chattanooga Choo Choo rides, Lookout Mountain, and Ruby Falls. But we were craving a beach visit really badly.  Thanks to our hotel owner, we got to know about Chester Frost Park, the closest beach to Chattanooga. It took us less than half an hour to reach Chester Frost Park from Chattanooga.  However, Chester Frost Park, with Chickamauga Lake, has a lake beach. If you want to see an ocean beach, you need to at least travel to Tybee Island or Panama City Beach. In this Tour and Travel blog, I will primarily focus on my experience at Chester Frost Park. However, I have also talked about the best time to plan a trip and shared brief accounts of Panama City Beach and Tybee Island.  What Is The Best Time To Visit The Closest Beach To Chattanooga? Spring and fall are the best seasons to visit Chattanooga and the nearby beaches.  The months of March, April, and May are the spring season in Chattanooga. The temperature in these months ranges between 7 to 26 degrees Celsius.  Again, September to November or the fall season in Chattanooga is beautiful with the foliage changing its color and a nip in the air.  Also, during the fall season, it rains only 5 days a month, and the temperature hovers around 8 to 28 degrees Celsius. What Is The Closest Beach To Chattanooga? Inside The Chester Frost Park Location: 7872 Causeway Road, Hixson, TN 37343 Contact Number: 423-209-6894 Entry and Beach Activities: Free (Charges applicable for camping and pavilion, and shelter rentals) Beach Area Hours: Daylight to Dark With Chickamauga Lake, Chester Frost Park is your happy space if you are looking for the closest beach to Chattanooga.  This place is also historically significant as it has the Jackson Chapel Cemetery, the oldest in Hamilton County, and Dallas Hill, which has been the original county seat since 1822.  We enjoyed our swimming sessions in the Chickamauga Lake. The waves were calm, and the soft sand on the shores made a delightful sight.  Once we were done after the first round of swimming, we had great fun catching bass and crappie.  Also, we were lucky enough to spot herons, river otters, and egrets in Chester Frost Park.  Other beach activities in Chester Frost Park are: 1. Camping Along with tents and camping options, Chester Frost Park also has 188 RV sites. These sites have electrical hookups.  2. Hiking Chester Frost Park has some easy trails. Also, the park allows leashed pets, except in the beach areas.  So, you can enjoy a family walk along these trails and spend some time in nature.  3. Boating And Other Water Sports You will love paddling, kayaking, or a ride in the powerboats during your time at the Chester Frost Park. 4. Picnic Chester Frost Park has many picnic shelters. Tybee Island is the closest beach to Chattanooga by car if you want to hit a beach by the ocean. The distance from Chattanooga to Tybee Island is 383 miles.  You need to travel around 6 hours from Chattanooga to reach Tybee Island.  Nestled in the Atlantic Ocean, Tybee Island in Georgia is also the closest ocean beach to Chattanooga.  A proud member of the Best Islands in the United States club in the Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award, Tybee Island has beautiful, pristine beaches, and its historic landmarks, such as the Lighthouse and Fort Pulaski National Monument, make it a popular tourist attraction.  The pristine beaches here are North Beach, Mid Beach, South Beach, and Back River Beach. Also, you must not miss a visit to Little Tybee Island, the twin of Tybee Island.  Moreover, Savannah, the historical epicenter of Georgia and the entire USA is less than 30 minutes away from Tybee Island.  Recently, Tybee Island has been the center of attraction with the just concluded Orange Crush fun on 19th April 2025. Is Panama City Beach Close To Chattanooga? No, Panama City Beach is not located near Chattanooga. The distance from Panama City Beach to Chattanooga is around 630 km.  The most affordable and convenient way to travel from Chattanooga to Panama City Beach is by car. However, if budget is not a constraint for you, you can take a flight from Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) to Orlando.  Also, flights to Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) are available from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP). Delta and American Airlines run these flights.  Why Will I Visit Panama City Beach From Chattanooga? A part of the Emerald Coast, Panama City Beach is a crown jewel in the growing beach tourism or ocean-based tourism industry in Florida.  It has white sandy beaches, and the water with the shades of blue and green creates the most picturesque frame.  Also, ideal for a fun break in the Sun, Panama City Beach is also famous as “The Spring Break Capital of the World.” Having said that, the beautiful Panama City Beach is now affected by the obvious impacts of overtourism. So, the Florida Authorities want to restrict tourism activities to this beautiful beach.  In fact, the city authority is now planning to transform Panama Beach into a family destination to avoid violence, shootings, and unpleasant activities. "Since the wild days of 2015, when spring break chaos pushed us to rethink our path, we've made tremendous strides and have seen some setbacks. That year's violence, shootings, a beach assault, and rampant disorder spurred tough ordinances, like our March alcohol ban, and a unified effort to shift Panama City Beach from an unsafe spring break haven to a welcoming family destination.”Post Shared On Meta on 13th April 2025 by Tommy Ford, Bay County Sheriff What Is The Closest Beach To Tennessee? The closest beach to Tennessee will depend on the part of the state you are in. For example, Dauphin Island in Alabama and Pensacola in Florida are some of the closest beaches to Nashville.  You need to make a journey of around 7 hours to reach any of these beaches.  However, Sullivan’s Island and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina are the closest beaches to Knoxville.  Again, as I have already mentioned in the blog, the closest ocean beaches near Chattanooga are Panama City Beach or Tybee Island.  Tennessee, anyway, is a landlocked state. Yes, there are lakes such as Norris Lake, Center Hill Lake, Chickamauga Lake, and Cherokee Reservoir.  However, if you need an ocean beach experience, you need to travel at least to Panama City Beach, Tybee Island, or states like South Carolina and Florida.

Best Summer Destinations In Europe Beach: Couples Get Ready!

BY  Sibashree Apr 21, 2025

Europe is a significant player in the global beach tourism industry, holding a 38.3% share. Further, the thriving beach tourism scenario in Europe has the solid backing of the European Commission.  The Commission is supporting all European countries with beautiful beaches through action plans, smart strategies, and sustainable growth initiatives.  Therefore, it is no surprise that by 2032, the European beach tourism industry is expected to reach $357 billion. Now, as a traveler, if these stats look mundane to you (I love them as I think traveling is all about touching and improving lives, and you cannot do that without an economic boost!), the glorious stretches of sand and the dramatic landscape give you enough reasons to plan a trip.  In this Tour and Travel Blog, I have curated the most popular summer destinations in Europe, along with the hidden gems.  So, couples, you know where you need to sail for some serious coastal fun! The Best Summer Destinations In Europe Beach: Forget The Count!  Think of the dramatic landscape of the Mediterranean Coastline. Some are sandy and fun, while others are gothic and involve a lot of drama.  On the other hand, the Atlantic beaches are full of marshlands, inlets, and barrier islands.  Now, despite the difference in the landscape and coastal geology, beaches are the best summer destinations in Europe, thanks to long hours of Sun and pleasant weather conditions.  Also, summer months are ideal for various outdoor activities on the beach, including sunbathing, swimming, and scuba diving. Furthermore, intimate activities such as sunbathing against the serene water backdrops make the beaches in Europe ideal for summer romance.  Moreover, I cannot think of a more romantic venue for a candlelight dinner than the Mediterranean beaches in Europe. Here, I present the beaches I have been to in Europe, and while there are some regular staples on our list, mostly I have talked about the beaches that have impressed me the most.  1. French Riviera: Plage Notre-Dame Porquerolles Was Our Sweet Spot ‣ Closest Airport: Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE) With approximately 180 km of coastline, the French Riviera, the setting of popular movies such as GoldenEye and Hitchcock’s To Catch a Thief, is dotted with stunning beaches.  The over 90 beaches in the French Riviera offer an unmatched diversity. So, you have beaches like Pampelonne, where the vast sandy stretches will grab your attention.  On the other hand, the French Riviera boasts Paloma, an adorable spot with its dramatic pebble beach.  However, we found our sweet spot at Plage Notre-Dame Porquerolles, a beach that is just 15 km away by a water taxi ride from the French Riviera.  Porquerolles, one of the best summer destinations in Europe, is a not-so-developed island with a length of 9 km and a width of 2 km.  So, we started our day by bicycling through red trails. The eucalyptus trees on both sides of the trail blessed us.  After the ride, we visited the contemporary art museum at Villa Carmignac and enjoyed the best rosé champagne and local delicacies at their outdoor dining setup.   We came back to the beaches by noon, and the cafes with the musicians playing the old-day tunes created the perfect backdrop for the change of shades and lightplay we were witnessing on the sandy stretches.  And it was sunset time! We knew we had to take a dip. We could listen to the grinding of cicadas and see how the last rays of the Sun for the day weave magic on the sand and water.  After our moments in the water, it was our time to get back to the French Riviera. We had a great time at the beach with memories of broken wooden chairs and weary bicycle stands as beautiful frames from a movie.  Au revoir, Porquerolles! ⁕⁕⁕ Tour And Travel Note ⁕⁕⁕ Don’t miss a visit to the resort town of Nice if you are in the French Riviera. It is one of the best European cities with beach and nightlife.  2. Amalfi Coast: A UNESCO World Heritage Site And The Prettiest Coast Of Italy ‣ Nearest Airport: Naples International Airport (NAP) The Amalfi Coast requires no introduction. From beaches with dramatic rocky coves to those with sandy stretches, every beach stands out with its unique appeal, and Mediterranean delicacies here are out of this world.  Nevertheless, among all the beaches, Fornillo Beach in Positano won our hearts. With pebbled beaches and fewer crowds, everything about the beach defined the word “intimate.”  It was our Punto Dolce, where we enjoyed all the beach chores to the fullest. However, the highlight of the visit to this beach was exploring the nearby Grotta di Fornillo, as the scenic views were amazing.  3. The Egadi Islands: The Best Fusion Of Natural Beauty And Ecological Attractions View this post on Instagram A post shared by Giovanni Vasta (@gvasta2) ‣ Nearest Airports: Palermo Falcone-Borsellino Airport (PMO) and Trapani-Birgi Airport (TPS) Also known as the Egadi Islands, these islands in Italy are some of the best European summer beach destinations.  Our destination was Favignana, which has beautiful beaches, such as Cala Azzurra and Cala Rotonda.  However, our favorite among all was Bue Marino. The rocky coastline here is unique, and we fell in love with the sunrise views.  Furthermore, we decided to explore Favignana, and we took a ferry to the nature reserve of the Saline Trapani. It is around 40 minutes to reach the nature reserve.  This Ramsar Site, and a protected area entrusted to the World Wildlife Fund is home to the rare Aphanius fasciatus fish.  Further, we saw birds like the Saker Falcon and the Common Shelduck there.  4. Platja de Formentor, Majorca: A Calm Beach With Green Water ‣ Nearest Airport: Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) A calm “Blue Flag” beach located along the Formentor Peninsula, Platja de Formentor is surely one of the best that Majorca Island has to offer.   The landscape here defines the word drama, and the sight of the Tramuntana mountains amidst dense pine forests will stay in my memory forever. Furthermore, the blue and green colors of the water complement the backdrop.  The beach is not very long, and we took a walk of around 1 km to reach Cap de Formentor, the farthest point of the beach. Also, we took a ride in a rented sailboat. Catamarans are also available for rent. You can even try snorkeling for more adventure.  5. Myrtos Beach, Kefalonia: A Romance With White Sand And Turquoise Sea ‣ Nearest Airport: Kefallinia (EFL) Airport One of the best summer destinations in the world, Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia, Greece, has our hearts for its stunning natural beauty.  The beach, awarded a “Blue Flag,” features stretches of white sand with the most dramatic cliffs in the backdrop.  Furthermore, the turquoise water provides a serene experience for the eyes.  6. Hietaniemi Beach, Helsinki: Best For Summer Swimming And Beach Volleyball ‣ Nearest Airport: Helsinki Airport Hot summer days call for some serious beach fun at Hietaniemi Beach, Central Helsinki, Finland.  With its shallow water and picturesque setting, Hietaniemi Beach is perfect for playing basketball and beach volleyball.  Also, don’t forget to try the coffee and snacks at Badenbaden, the summer terrace. Want to try your luck at golf?  Pay a visit to the miniature golf course nearby.  7. Beach of Durres: The Most-Visited Beach In Albania ‣ Nearest Airport: Tirana Airport The beach of Durres, the most-visited beach in Albania, is also one of the best beaches in Europe.  Durrës, as a city, has a rich historical background, with the stories going back to 627 BC. Additionally, the Roman amphitheater was our biggest draw.  Additionally, the beach stands out due to its proximity to the Adriatic Sea, a prominent feature in the cultural, historical, and economic landscapes of Europe.  Recently, the Adriatic Sea was in the news after a Riesenhai, or basking shark, was seen off the Croatian Peninsula. 8. Fteri Beach, Kefalonia: Romance In A Secluded Beach With Turquoise Waters ‣ Nearest Airport: Kefalonia International Airport Anna Pollatou With rugged hinterlands and candy-colored houses, Fteri Beach in Kefalonia, Greece, is the prettiest beach I have been to in Europe.  One of the best summer destinations in Europe, this beach on a secluded cove has beautiful white cliffs and the bluest water.  Don’t miss snorkeling in the water for the ultimate adventure.  9. Praia da Comporta: The Secret Sweet Spot In Portugal View this post on Instagram A post shared by Luis Mendes (@luismendeslm) ‣ Nearest Airport: Lisboa (LIS) Airport One of the best summer destinations in Europe, Praia da Comporta is a hidden gem in Portugal.  Summer months are busy at Praia da Comporta. However, the 19-km stretch of the shoreline ensures you get enough space for all the beach fun.  We had the most elaborate lunch at the Comporta Café, and we got into the water after hours of swimming.  However, the biggest attraction was the horseback ride during the Sunset. The surroundings looked magical.  10. Mala Beach: Cliffs, Sands, And Clear Water View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ekaterina Erokhin (@katiaerokhin) ‣ Nearest Airport: Nice Côte d'Azur Airport I was almost done penning this blog, and then suddenly it struck me. I have missed Mala Beach, another wonder in the French Riviera.  With pebbles and sand on the shores, this secluded beach is ideal for some intimate moments with your partner.  Further, the views of the majestic Mediterranean Sea and cliffs leave you awestruck.  11. Vitali Beach: Best For The Quiet Romance ‣ Nearest Airport: Athens International Airport Vitali Beach in Andros, Greece, is one of the best summer destinations in Europe if you are planning a coastal getaway.  It is one of the quiet ones, too!  The shores are full of pebbles. So, it is quite a walk before you reach the blue waters. However, the nearby caves and the best Pina Colada available make every effort worthwhile.  12. Cala de Deiá, Mallorca: Falling In Love With The Rugged Charm ‣ Nearest Airport: Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) Cala de Deià, the rugged and bewitching inlet near Deiá, Spain, has a small beach with crystal clear water. This is a place for couples who love everything quaint and a close-to-nature experience.  After a fun swim in the crystal clear water, you can have your meal at the Can Lluc cafe and enjoy fishing while sitting on the rocky platform above the water.  You can also visit the beautiful hamlet of Lluc Alcari, just 15 km away from Cala de Deiá. Is The Bahamas Part Of The US Or Canada? The Ultimate Guide On This Independent Country

BY  Sibashree Apr 11, 2025

Is the Bahamas part of the US or Canada? I am not sure why this question arises, but I think it is because of a rising interest in the US-Bahamas relationship after China alleged that the Bahamas were part of the US surveillance strategy.  Now, the US confirms its commitment to the Bahamas' growth but ducks the allegations of China as a “malign influence.”  Furthermore, the Bahamas is one of the USA's closest and most important neighbors. Moreover, the nation is like an extended home for the USA's residents. "This region is a priority because this is our home. This is where we all live. Engaging with neighbors like the Bahamas is a vital element in driving strong economic growth.”Kimberly Furnish, U.S. Charge d’Affaires So, is the Bahamas a part of the US? No, the country is now a sovereign, independent country. It achieved its independence from Britain in 1973.  We will discuss more details and explore various aspects of the Bahamas and its relationship with the US in this Tour and Travel Blog.  Where Is The Bahamas Located? Is Bahamas Part Of The US? The Bahamas is an independent country consisting of more than 700 islands and cays. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean. Some people compare the Bahamas to the Caymans - the beauty of the place is such that you can't help but draw comparisons. Further, the Bahamas is the closest to the State of Florida in the USA. The Island of Bimini is the closest point between the Bahamas and Florida.  Did You Know? The Island of Bimini is the Big Game Fishing Capital of the World. It is believed that the Lost City of Atlantis exists on the Island of Bimini.Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote a part of his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize in Bimini.  Further, despite the Bahamas not being a part of the USA, the Island of Bimini in the Bahamas is just around 50 miles off the coast of Florida. Cuba and Turks & Caicos are other neighboring countries of the Bahamas.  Here, I have something really fun to share. Due to its geographically strategic location, the Bahamas, especially Nassau, the Bahamas Capital, became the “Pirate Republic” during 1706 and 1718.  Further, it ruled the Golden Age of Piracy between 1690 and 1720.  Is The Bahamas A Part Of The Carribean? Are Bahamians Considered Caribbean? Many people mistake the Bahamas for being located in the Caribbean Sea. However, geographically, the Bahamas is not related to the Caribbean.  Having said that, the Bahamians are considered Carribean because of their cultural similarities and close bonds with the Carribean nations.  Again, the Bahamas economy relies heavily on tourism and off-shore financing like most Caribbean countries.  Moreover, the Bahamas is a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), a political and economic union of five associated members and 15 member states in the Caribbean and Atlantic Oceans.  So, it takes part in important discussions about the development of the Caribbean region, especially about economic integration and coordinating foreign policies.  Some Quick Facts About The Bahamas: Is The Bahamas Part Of The US  Have a look at the table below to find out some quick facts about the Bahamas.  Official NameThe Commonwealth of The BahamasBahamas Area13,880 km²Bahamas Population402632CapitalNassauBahamas CurrencyBahamian Dollar**AirportLynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA)Official LanguageEnglishGoverning SystemParliamentary Democracy Bahamian Dollars are equivalent to US Dollars in value. The Bahamas is an independent sovereign country with its own government, laws, and constitution. Why Bahamas Is Not Part Of USA? The Bahamas is not part of the USA because it gained full independence from Britain as a sovereign country in 1973.  So, the country has an independent territory governed by the laws of the country, and its government is elected through a parliamentary democratic process.  Further, it is now a part of the Commonwealth Nations as it was one of the countries that was a part of the British Empire before 1973.  It is also a member of the Organisation of American States and the Caribbean Community. 1. Canada has no political, territorial, or governing authority over The Bahamas.  The association with Canada typically comes from:  A large number of Canadian tourists  Historical ties through the British Commonwealth  Similar legal and governmental systems derived from British traditions  However, The Bahamas is a separate nation with no constitutional or political link to Canada. 3. What Country Does The Bahamas Belong To?  The Bahamas does not belong to any other country. Canadian laws do not apply in The Bahamas.  Do You Need A Passport To Go To The Bahamas From The USA? Yes, you need to carry a valid US passport if you are visiting the Bahamas. You must show your passport on your arrival in the country.  Further, you must show valid proof of your tentative date of departure from the country. If you travel to the Bahamas on a cruise, you will need a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) document.  In addition, if you have plans to stay for more than 30 days in the country, you will need a Bahamas visa.  To apply for the visa, you can follow this step-by-step process. Visit the official website of the Government of the Bahamas, Department of Immigration.  Submit proof of a valid passport, return flight tickets, hotel booking details, financial means, and other important documents.  Wait for the approval or denial.  Are The Bahamas Part Of The USA Strategic Partnership?  Yes, the Bahamas is a part of the USA strategic partnership. Top Destinations in St John You Can Visit by Boat When you are staying in St. John, you will have the advantage of getting proximity to other awe-inspiring Virgin Islands. Apart from that, many rentals are conveniently located near boat charters, making day trips to nearby islands effortless. 1. Trunk Bay: A Snorkeler’s Paradise The Trunk Bay is present just minutes away from most St. John rentals. Basically, it is renowned for its underwater snorkeling trail. In addition to that, the crystal-clear waters reveal a vibrant marine world filled with coral reefs and tropical fish. Hence. it’s no wonder why this beach is often ranked among the best in the world. 2. Jost Van Dyke: The Party Island By just a short boat ride from St. John, you can experience Jost Van Dyke. This place boasts an unbeatable party atmosphere. Moreover, the place is famous for its beach bars, including the legendary Soggy Dollar Bar. It offers the feeling as if it’s nature’s playground. So, whether you are visiting with your family or in a couple’s trip, you can rave about this unique excursion. 4. The Comfort of St. John Rentals After a Day of Exploring After a day of adventure, returning to your St. John rental feels like stepping into a sanctuary. Generally, most properties are designed to blend with the island’s natural beauty, featuring open-air layouts, private pools, and sweeping views of the ocean. Families love rentals with fully equipped kitchens, allowing them to prepare meals after a day at the beach. On the other hand, couples often seek out secluded properties with hot tubs, perfect for unwinding under the stars. During a recent visit, I stayed at a hillside villa from where you can get a great view of Coral Bay. Every evening, I would watch the sun dip below the horizon. It was actually mesmerizing to see the orange and pink colors forming on the background. Moreover, the rental had everything I needed. For instance, there was a plush king-sized bed and also a hammock where I could lose myself in a good book. Practical Tips for Choosing the Right Rental You can enhance your experience on St John’s Islands by choosing the right rental. All you need to do is keep the following tips in mind: 1. Proximity to Activities Well, if you plan to explore beaches like Hawksnest or Maho Bay, choose a rental on the north shore. This will give you quick access and better dining options. 2. Privacy vs. Accessibility The thing with hillside rentals is that they often offer unmatched privacy and breathtaking views. However, by choosing beachfront properties, you can stay steps away from the sand. 3. Group Size Are you traveling with your family or your friends? In such cases, you need a larger space with multiple bedrooms and communal spaces. Also, you need to plan a group trip differently from a couple’s trip. 4. Amenities It goes without saying that factors like air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and private pools help you ensure a comfortable stay. This is where choosing St John Rentals will offer you a major advantage. Is Rental A Better Option Than Hotels? Generally, rentals offer a level of flexibility and personalization that hotels simply can’t match. Apart from that, you will also get the chance to prepare your own meals. Additionally, rentals offer ample space for the entire family. On the other hand, unlike hotels, rentals immerse you in the local lifestyle. For instance, you can wake up to roosters crowing in the distance or spend an afternoon picking mangoes from trees on the property. Make St. John Your Next Island Escape From tranquil beaches to vibrant marine life, St. John offers something for everyone. Apart from that, rentals provide the perfect launching pad to explore all that this Caribbean gem has to offer. Hence, whether you are hiking through Virgin Islands National Park or enjoying a candlelit dinner on the patio of your rental, the memories you create here will stay with you forever. Furthermore, with so many options to choose from, there’s no reason to wait. So, start planning your dream getaway to St. John today, and let the island’s magic unfold before you.

You Can’t MISS These Best Songs for Instagram Travel Reels (Real People, Real Choice)

BY  Sibashree Sep 9, 2024

Are you a travel blogger? Do you want to share the best moments from your last trip on Instagram reels and stories? Here is a list of the best songs for Instagram travel reels.  The English songs I have picked are eclectic, and I have curated pieces that fit various moods. Further, from John Denver to Ed Sheeran, your most loved artists feature on this list.  A reel without a good song underneath is like a postcard without a message. You can appreciate its beauty, perhaps, for a split second, but you won’t recall it.  This guide is based on actual creator behavior, actual engagement patterns, and actual audience response, not just the same old “trending audio” posts you see around the web.  Whether you're an influencer in the travel space, a casual content creator, or an individual or business marketer for the travel industry, this article will assist you in using songs that actually perform well.  Have You Checked Out These Best Songs For Instagram Travel Reels?  When we travel, the gust of the wind, the murmuring of the leaves, or the chirping of the birds are probably the best music you can listen to. However, as you return, those moments become memories and the photographs and videos we click turn into stories we want to tell the world.  What’s better than a piece of music to enhance these stories? It can be Whitesnake’s rock anthem, “Here I Go Again,” Denver’s “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” or the feel-good “On My Way” by Carswell & Hope. 1. "Wave" by Lyxe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DfTWt8_Ec0 Perfect For: Roadtrip reels Everyone was crazy when Lyxe reconfigured Wave in June 2023. The song’s upbeat tempo is inspiring, and it asks you to get “'Everything You Could Ever Want.”  As the soundtrack opens, you are already transported to a highway with the embrace of majestic trees on both sides. The melody just works as the sunlight peeps through the vegetation.  2. “On My Way" by Carswell & Hope https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0qkhXoiGCQ Perfect For: Couple Travel Videos I find “On My Way" close to Denver’s Country Roads in spirit. It’s like a country ballad with an urban touch. And the guitar is just out of the world in the piece.  However, as you reach the lines,  “Me and my vice, and you in your wisdom Lightly tripped along the passing days Wouldn’t it be nice if you could finally listen? To hear the tune that’s calling you home today”  You realize that it’s about the journey of your life with your love! Listening to the tunes that are calling you “home today.”  3. “Unto Myself” by Serene Fiend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kogF2cchLCk Perfect For: Adventure Sports Reels Here’s something for a metal head. As you explore outdoor pursuits and make reels for Instagram, “Unto Myself” becomes your go-to travel song.  Watch out for the edgy twists in this one of the best songs for Instagram travel reels.  4. Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyF8RHM1OCg Perfect For: Road Trips/ Adventure Activities Reels/Solo Travel Videos Exuding the spirit of classic rock, Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again is a vintage travel song that emancipates and transports. This is also a kinda prayer where the traveler asks for courage and strength to carry on. Further, this song can be the greatest kick for solo travelers who love to walk the street alone.  5. Denver’s “Leaving on a Jet Plane” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SneCkM0bJq0 Perfect For: Long Trips/Foreign Trips Leaving on a Jet Plane is a classic, and it’s, for me, the most romantic conversation between two lovers. One leaves on a trip and asks the other to kiss, smile, and wait until they return.  A sense of melancholy, the signature of Denver, makes the song timeless. It’s like we all travel to return to the people we love and all good things! We are not always sure about the return, but we want to!  6. “Galway Girl” By Ed Sheeran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87gWaABqGYs Perfect For: Romantic Travel Reels  Are you on a trip to Ireland or the gorgeous European cities? Ed Sheeran’s Galway Girl is the perfect song to add a dash of romance and whims to your travel reel.  So, are you ready to meet her on “Grafton Street?” 7. "Enjoy The Show" by The Sluts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnurG4O5og4 Perfect For: City Nightlife Reels  You can be in Las Vegas or Barcelona. You can pump up your nightlife reels with this high-energy number from The Sluts. Having said that, the underlying laid-back charm of this song keeps it psychedelic for you, and the powerful vocal just helps you get going!  8. "About Damn Time" by Lizzo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXXxciRUMzE Perfect For: Girls’ Solo Trip Travel Reels  Oh, my girl, are you on a break and want to be on top of your game? "About Damn Time" by Lizzo is the kick you need.  It inspires and assures that everything is about time and that everything will be okay. So, use this song for travel stories that mend you.  9. "Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E07s5ZYygMg Perfect For: Beach Holiday Reels/Couple Travel Videos Your coastal summer holidays could not be better than this Harry Styles song. The song has a zing, and its youthful charm is infectious. The passionate undertone further makes the song a hit among the young at heart.  10. “Saturday Sun" by Vance Joy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKqMNQkjHmI Perfect For: Weekend Trip Reels/Coastal Holidays The happy tempo of the song is something that strikes instantly. Further, the song is about meeting someone for the first time and falling in love with them. So young and refreshing! Perfect for a weekend escapade!  11. “Perfect" by Ed Sheeran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vv-BfVoq4g Perfect For: Couple Holiday Reels Who doesn’t know of Sheeran’s “Perfect?” This song just makes walking “Barefoot on the Grass” with your love more special.  It’s time to enjoy the most romantic journey with your love in your arms. The soft melody is just worth melting!  Rules for Instagram Music and Copyright (2026)  How to keep your reel safe and accessible:  Use music within the Instagram library  Don't repost copyrighted songs on third-party platforms  Creator accounts receive broader access compared to business accounts  The safest type of music for brand endorsement is royalty-free music.  How Music Affects the Instagram Algorithm?  Music impacts:  Viewing Duration – autographic Data  Whether they replay  Whether they save  If they both use the same sound  Instagram promotes reels with:  High completion  Audio Reuse  Emotional engagement   Your choice of music is an algorithm signal.  Common Mistakes Creators Make When Using Reel Music  Picking a song based on its popularity trend  Matching calm visuals with high-energy music  Cutting randomly as opposed to cutting to the beat  Dominating visuals with loud drops  Repeating the viral sound indefinitely Some Of The Best Songs For Instagram Travel Reels My Friends Love  Music is such a subjective thing to decide upon! How about asking my friends about the songs they like in their travel reels? These thoughts came to mind while curating the travel songs for Instagram reels. I quickly worked on the idea, and here is what my friends have to say about the best songs for Instagram travel reels.  “Paradise by Coldplay is my favorite, as it has several parts that fit like a glove over any travel reel. From revealing the grandeur of a mountain to a montage of chasing sunsets, the first couple of seconds is my go-to!”  - Harsha Sharma. “Country Roads by Denver: It highlights a major theme that's common for all travel experiences. We travel to rejuvenate our spirits, and for most adventure lovers, this rejuvenation feels like home.” - Saswati. “Music can help establish an emotional connection. Paris by Chainsmokers resonates with emotions and experiences from a specific moment in your travels with your loved ones.” - Nikita Marilyn Gomes. “Taylor Swift: 22! There is nothing better than a good old road trip with your girls. Taylor Swift will always be at the top of our list. Especially 22 (...although none of us are anymore). It is when we cruise through the windy roads and cross cities with only each other it feels like we are only young and 22, awaiting all the adventures.” - Deepanwita.  “Forever Young by Alphaville: "Forever Young, I want to be forever young," the timeless melody and meaningful lyrics awaken the urge to stay young to explore more, to live more, and to explore the unknown.” - Piyasa M.  “The Nights by Avicii: this song has a very upbeat tempo, a wonderful chorus, and nostalgic lyrics that can perfectly capture the ultimate spirit of adventure and life's moments.” - Pijus. Music Transforms Travel into Memories    There’s a reason why In the year 2026, the best travel videos don’t have to be the most flashy; instead, they have to “Feel Real”.   The right song:   Slows time   Adds emotion   Creates memory   Makes people stay   If you have a reel that pauses people, gets them to feel, and imagine themselves in the place you’re at, you chose the right song.  Want to revel in some child-like fun like my friend Subhasree? A young lady of 25, she still finds The Singing Walrus’s travel song delightful. “I’m on my way/ To a new place…” This is where all travel stories begin. Isn’t it?
