Two of these authorities ensured that people who are fully vaccinated and have the universal pass with them are eligible to travel through metros, local trains, and monorails in Mumbai.

The Maharashtra government issued the pass in five degrees; people working at the forefront of society, like healthcare workers, utility, education workers, and other essential services, were prioritized to have the pass.

Gradually, this travel pass became available to people from other cities in India. One only needs to get their vaccination done to be eligible for the universal travel pass.

Can You Use Bluetooth On A Plane? – Know It All Here!

BY  sagnika Jun 14, 2023

Can you use bluetooth on a plane? You have to read the airline instructions accordingly. On most airlines, passengers are instructed to turn off all electronic devices before the flight takeoff. It is an important aspect of security and safety, due to which electronic devices are asked to be switched off. When using a network, a phone or an electronic device will try to access the closest tower when on the ground. The towers are constructed based on the topography of a region; hence, on the ground, the phone tries to get the network from the nearest tower. However, when a person tries to get a signal on their phone at 30000 feet up, it causes problems because it starts accessing more cell towers. Shutting down all electronic and Bluetooth devices is a precaution to prevent network issues that might hamper overall flight networks. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) integrates the authoritarian rules related to wireless tech on a plane. Even though Bluetooth headphones are allowed for air travel, you must follow certain rules concerning Bluetooth devices on a flight. Can You Use Bluetooth On A Plane? - Answered Here All passengers must listen to the crew and follow the rules implemented to govern the right time and way of using electronic and Bluetooth devices. Even though Bluetooth operates at a lower frequency, it cannot connect with cell towers. Bluetooth devices do not operate on the same frequency band as electronic devices. Therefore, there is a meagre chance of Bluetooth devices intercepting or preventing avionic interactions. However, if crew members ask you to remove your headphones, you must listen. Arguing against not removing headphones with the crew members can get you kicked off the flight, or you might have to pay the penalty. The decision-making concerning headphones and Bluetooth is on the airlines; however, based on the evolution of technology, it can become more difficult as time passes. With advancing technology, Bluetooth devices are developing further; therefore, it is not limited to the problems it might incur for avionic networks. The eventuality of cellular tech advancement has led to Bluetooth being used even in airplane mode. Hence, with the advancement of technology, airlines will be more careful. Can You Use Bluetooth On A Plane? Based on Bluetooth technology, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) may decide on further enforcement of regulations. Most airlines allow Bluetooth devices to be used in flight. However, there is no addressing of the Bluetooth aspect. Bluetooth devices such as keyboards and headphones are acceptable if connected to flight Wi-Fi and all cellular connections are deactivated. However, Bluetooth devices connected to a laptop or a tablet must be shut off before the flight takes off. All major American airlines, such as United Airlines, Delta Tell, Southwest, and JetBlue, allow passengers to use Bluetooth devices if cellular connections are off. British Airways, however, ask their passengers to switch off their Bluetooth accessories and devices during takeoff, landing, and taxing. Air Canada has integrated a different rule allowing passengers to use Bluetooth headsets or Bluetooth earbuds once the plane's altitude is 10000 feet. The headset or earbud is only allowed if the battery is removable. Wireless mouse is completely prohibited. Lufthansa is an airline that allows passengers to use Bluetooth accessories throughout the flight, takeoff, and landing. Passengers are not allowed to plug in their Bluetooth headphones to the flight's entertainment system. Airline Instructions For Using Bluetooth The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has decided on Bluetooth devices that having Bluetooth headphones can prevent passengers from listening to important announcements made by the crew. The headphones block the ears. Hence, it gives rise to potential issues because the passengers might be missing important information. For example, if a passenger needs to attend the safety precaution presentation at the beginning of the flight, it negates the effort of the crew members. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued regulations concerning wireless devices in 2013 regarding electronic and Bluetooth devices. They have given the responsibility to the airlines to determine which devices interfere with the communication or the navigation system. Some of you must be traveling for the first time or have yet to use headphones. Does Bluetooth work on a plane? To answer the question, yes, it does. It has a low range and easily connects with other electronic devices. However, since electronic devices are being asked to shutdown, headphones connected to them will be pretty much useless. Even though Bluetooth is not messing with the flight systems, the sounds can be distracting, considering the aircraft is enclosed. Read More: Can You Bring A Razor On A Plane? Find The Answer Here! How To Use Bluetooth On A Plane? If you are asking, does Bluetooth work in airplane mode? Yes, it does. If you have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, you can activate your Bluetooth while in airplane mode. To do that, you need to go to Settings. You need to activate Airplane mode. Then you can enable bluetooth and connect your device. In many phones, once you turn off the cellular connection and activate airplane mode, Bluetooth also shuts down. You need to go to the settings and then start Bluetooth manually. Some of the airlines also offer their entertainment library through their app. Passengers can download their app before boarding their flight and use their bluetooth devices to access the library. Using Bluetooth headphones can also reduce the power, and most airlines do not offer charging points leading to inconvenience. So when you ask yourself, can I use bluetooth on a plane? The answer is yet, but you might lose all your charge. The only valid option is the 3.5mm headphone which does not require any power source. Getting a seat with a USB port charging point is completely your luck. Conclusion The article has listed different aspects of using a Bluetooth device and why it can be both a risk and a problem. Even though it is not officially restricted, remove it if a crew member says. Emergency Clothing Stash: Unexpected spills or mishaps are inevitable. Pack a compact emergency clothing kit, including spare socks, a shirt, and an accessory to freshen up quickly. Tech Armor For Gadgets: Your device is vital. Shield them with protective cases and sleeves to ensure they reach your destination unscathed. Travel Insurance: Non-Negotiable: Protect your journey with comprehensive travel insurance. A safety net is invaluable, whether for trip cancellations or medical emergencies. Decanting For Delicate Liquids: Opt for small, leak-proof containers for cosmetics or toiletries prone to leakage. This ensures your essentials remain intact and your luggage spill-free. Tailored To Tees: Pack clothes that align with your style. Feeling confident in your attire can significantly impact your overall outlook and performance. Digital Detox Deliberation: Reflect on the necessity of every tech gadget. A temporary digital detox can foster mindfulness and enhance your experience. BY  Sibashree Nov 7, 2025

Hiking the Aotea Track up to the summit view of the Hirakimata Peak was one of the most rewarding experiences I had on the Great Barrier Island. The view after reaching the top took all our fatigue away.  However, the Great Barrier hiking trails are not just about panoramic summits. Hiking here also means walking along the rugged coastline, through the native forests, and to the geothermal springs. To cut a long story short, the best hikes on Aotea Great Barrier Island, New Zealand are the best routes for exploring its dramatic island.  Furthermore, you can be a beginner or a seasoned hiker. Why Is The Great Barrier Island A Hiker’s Paradise?  Cultural exploration, stargazing, off-grid living, exploring the biodiversity of the island, and the dramatic geothermal features make the Great Barrier Island a hiker’s paradise.  1. Dark Sky Sanctuary “Ecotourism is extremely important to Great Barrier Island and this International Dark Sky Sanctuary status will not only provide further tourism development and economic growth opportunities but also ensure the preservation of our exceptional starry skies." Izzy Fordham, Great Barrier Local Board Chair.  The designation of the Great Barrier Island as a Dark Sky Sanctuary in 2017 was not about getting a label to boost tourism. The island’s 60% area is a conservation park, and the local Maori people believe that the protection of the sky is important for the health and well-being of the local community.  Also, if New Zealand becomes a Dark Sky Nation, as aimed by the Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand, the Great Barrier Island will have a pivotal role to play.  Nevertheless, as an activity, stargazing seems the most surreal experience during a multi-day hike on the Aotea track. Just relax and prepare for the next day after completing your day’s hike.  2. Off-Grid Living Sustainability is a choice or a way of living on the Great Barrier Island. So, there is complete reliance on solar power, and people here use composting toilets. Rainwater harvesting is another sustainable practice followed by the people of this island.  Nevertheless, thanks to the island's off-grid living, it has minimal to no light pollution and air pollution. Also, because of off-grid living, life on Great Barrier Island is deeply connected to nature. So, you can be the biggest homebody, but here you will feel the urge to experience the outdoors more intimately.  3. Biodiversity Of The Island “Great Barrier is at an exciting point in its history where the future of the islands flora and fauna looks bright.” - Go Great Barrier Island. The fact that 60% of the island is a conservation park speaks volumes about the island’s biodiversity. Furthermore, it is home to countless endangered species, including 13 species of lizards, the North Island Kaka Parrot, the Black Petrel, the Banded Rail, and the Pateke.  In addition, the native forest here is getting replenished quickly with the island authority being particular about pest control.  4. Geothermal Features Located within the Hauraki Rift, the Great Barrier Island has the Taupō Volcanic Zone and the Kaitoke Hot Springs. These geothermal zones, along with being natural spectacles, are also home to unique ecosystems where you will find New Zealand pigeon or kererū, fernbird, etc.  So, hiking through these geothermal zones is an exciting outdoor activity in the Aotea Great Barrier Island.  A Brief Comparison Table Of The Best Great Barrier Island Hiking Trails  Trail NameDurationDifficultyHighlightsAccessibilityAotea Track2–3 daysModerateForest, summit, hutsDOC huts, remoteKaitoke Hot Springs1.5 hrsEasyGeothermal poolsWheelchair-friendlyWindy Canyon1 hrModerateCliffs, panoramic viewsCar park accessHarataonga Coastal Walk4 hrsModerateBeach, forest, birdsTrailhead parkingPalmers Track2–3 hoursModerateStream crossings, dense bushNot recommended for people with fitness or mobility issuesWarren’s Track30–45 minutesEasyFamily-friendly loop near Tryphena, Kid-friendlyIt is not wheelchair-accessible. Whangaparaoa Beach Walk1–2 hoursEasyDune ecology, remote beachIt is not wheelchair-accessible due to a steep loop-walk area. Glenfern Sanctuary1–2 hrsEasyConservation, native birdsGuided tours available What Are The Best Great Barrier Island Hiking Trails?
