Every time I plan to go out for a trip, I tend to make a plan. The most important plan I make is to make a plan. Relatable right? The last time when I had gone to Maryland, in the United States, I had planned some of the things to do in Maryland beforehand. Although some more things to do were added to my list when I actually visited Maryland.    Are you planning a holiday in and around Maryland? Then you must know what are the things to do in Maryland. Discover this location and find out great traveling tips. If you are in Maryland then you must not forget to explore the most popular Maryland tourist attraction to make your trip interesting. Like Maryland, there is one more nice place to visit in the US which is Sacramento, California.   8 Best Places To Visit In Maryland In this blog, I will tell you about what I have explored in Maryland and what all things can be done in Maryland. We will also discuss the food of Maryland attractions that you must try when you are visiting Maryland. We will cater to you about all the possible information about Mary’s land and tourist attractions in Maryland which you can follow up.  So let’s start to take a glimpse of the famous places in Maryland.  There are a lot of things to do in Maryland but before that, I will tell you tips for first-time New York visitors. Most people who visit New York, tend to confine themselves to Manhattan only. But the real beauty of New York lies when you leave Manhattan.  I think the best way to convey this to you is to first tell you about the things to do in Maryland. While telling you about that I will also give you some tricky insights about New York.  I would like to start by saying that New York is a secret city in the United States. New York has surprised me quite a little there are so many things to do in new york. All you have to know is when to visit New York to enjoy the most.  There are a lot of things to do in Maryland but before that, I will tell you tips for first-time New York visitors. Most people who visit New York, tend to confine themselves to Manhattan only. But the real beauty of New York lies when you leave Manhattan.  I think the best way to convey to you is to first tell you about the things to do in Maryland. While telling you about that I will also give you some tricky insights about New York.  1. Calvert Cliffs Exploring the fossil-bearing Calvert Cliffs is one of the best things to do in Maryland. I loved this place and the atmosphere of this place. Although this place was already there on my list of things to do in Maryland because my friend had told me already. But I never knew that this experience could be so delightful. I came to know that the large collection of fossiliferous, is known as Chesapeake Group. The cliff contains Miocene fauna, I was thrilled to witness some of the great fossils here. If you are interested in such a geological factor then you will have a great time here. Nevertheless, there are other things to do as well in this Calvert Cliff.   The Calvert Cliff in Maryland is mostly forested and it has some ponds and wetlands. There are some activities here which are for free such as hunting turkey and deer, bird watching. You can also stroll along with the beautiful flora fauna-rich beach in Calvert.    2. Washington County Museum  While I knew the name was Washington County Museum and this was the second thing I wanted to do in Maryland. I thought that my things to do on the Maryland list would change soon because I could not find this place. But then my hotel manager gave me an insight into it. He said that the Washington County Museum is now the Five Oaks Museums and becoming the Maryland point of interest.    Again, I made my visit to this place and completely loved the aura of this place. It is one of the finest small museums in the nation. This museum is located in the historic City Park. But let me tell you, you will like this place only if you are a great fan of arts, literature, and education.  This place has reserved a lot of artifacts and some beautiful narratives which define the Tualatin Valley. This place gathers a lot of vibrant art, culture, and storytelling resources. There are many more places to visit in Maryland apart from this.  3. Flying Dog Brewery The next place in my 'things to do in Maryland' list contained the Flying Dog Brewery. I already grew the excitement in me hearing the name of the place. All liquor lovers can once drop in here to get an amazing feel of the brewery. You can visit this place for a tasting. They have a tasting room that remains open from Thursday to Sunday. I had a great time there tasting different good beers there. This is one of the top attractions in Maryland. All you have to do is carry your ID which proves that you are 21+ 4. Food You Must Try In Maryland The best experience I have had in Maryland is trying the food in Maryland. I loved the food of Maryland over anything else. This was of course not there in my 'things to do in Maryland' list, but I loved the food in Maryland. I would like to tell you what is the most mouth-watering food I found in Maryland. I can promise you if you taste them you will never regret it. One of the all-time favorites is the Steamed Crabs. I think they are the best crabs that I have ever had in my life. The place is popular for fishing and its blue crabs across the United States. The dish of steamed crabs is basically a combination of spices, herbs and beer together steamed with the blue crabs. Do not forget to add butter along with different blends of seasoning so you will get both spicy and savory taste. The home of the blue crabs is Cheasapeake Bay where the crabs are an iconic part of the culture. Another interesting thing I had was the Crab Cake, it was more surprising than delicious to me. Last but not the least, another favorite dish of mine was the Roasted Pit Beef. I will never forget the taste of it in my taste buds.  If you are going to Maryland then never forget to taste these dishes. There are other great American foods available in Maryland. This is a must 'things to do in Maryland' according to me.   5. Assateague Island Another lovely place to explore was Assateague Island in Maryland. Very honestly this place was not at all there in my things to do in Maryland list. But I came to know about this place from some of the locals of Maryland. They suggested me to visit this place as I told them that I am greatly interested in geological and geographical factors.  The place is managed by United States Park Services along with Wildlife Services and United States Fish. A unique feature of this island is that you will find the feral ponies walking and galloping across the island and the surrounding waters. Like all other places in Maryland, Assateague Island also has some really cool activities. But I loved that place for the beauty it holds in it. Nothing can beat the serenity and the peacefulness of this place. I felt my things to do sheet got revised because of this wonderful location. The best thing about this place is the natural scape of this place which can amaze you. One of the best places to visit in Maryland for a nice weekend.  6. Ego Alley Actually, my things to do in Maryland list had this place right on top, considering the name. I am from Literature and I am hugely prone to this kind of place. But I came to know that Ego Alley is not an alley in real meaning. It's a narrow waterway that spills out into Spa Creek.  I probably will fail to explain in words how nice is that place actually. It is right next to a romantic location where every couple would like to click a photograph and share an ice cream. Although I went there alone, I loved the warm water and the feel of the ecstasy to another level. Nothing or no one would have been possible could bring me back from that place. It was a daydream there, such a lovely memory I made to behold in my memories forever.  7. Sculpture Garden I made my next visit to the Sculpture Garden which I think people don't explore. This place is amazingly beautiful and it is very unique and the sculpture present here is amazingly beautiful.   As an artist, I kept this place to make a visit at the end and this place was worth it. I spent an entire day in this place and I just loved everything about this place. The garden has some beautiful sculptures which give you an idea about the culture and sculpture of this place.  8. William British Planetarium  The last thing on my things to do in the Maryland list was the William British Planetarium. If you love to see the stars, moon, Milky way, and galaxy, then this is the place you must visit. An immersive planetarium show that looks back at rare classes of eruptions that have marshaled the energy that lurks. They look like a sleeping dragon, beneath the surface of planet Earth.  You will also be able to witness the close factors about the space. I enjoyed this place thoroughly because it took me back to my childhood days. 9. National Aquarium You cannot miss going to the National Aquarium when you go to Maryland, especially with the wide variety of sea creatures such as sharks, dolphins, living reefs, and jellyfish. It is a non-profit public aquarium and is also known as Baltimore Aquarium by the locals. The aquarium is situated at 501 East Pratt Street on Pier 3 across downtown Baltimore in the Inner Harbour area. The aquarium is 250,000 square feet and overlooks the Chesapeake Bay. The water capacity of the aquarium is more than 2.2 million gallons and it ranks as one of the top three aquariums in the country featuring amphibians, reptiles, fishes, mammals and birds. 10. Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Park Another activity that must be included in your list of things to do in Maryland is visiting the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Park! The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Park commemorates the life of the activist Harriet Tubman who was formerly enslaved during the American Civil War. The national park encompasses 480 acres of land and is managed by the National Park Service Unit of the US. The state of Maryland is responsible for the upkeep of the park.
