We traveled round-trip to both locations, using them as hubs for transfers to Norwegian or Easy Jet. There were eight of us on the trip to Oslo and seven on the trip to Gatwick. On every flight, we purchased Norse Premium. It's similar to the pre-lay flat business class on many of the airlines I've flown on in the past forty years—generous recline, reasonably spacious, with decent headrests and footrests. My two overnight flights to the east went well. and found comfort on both legs of the journey west. These are 787s, which are incredibly quiet, stable, and smooth. Every flight had extremely professional pilots, and every flight had excellent cabin crew members. a notable contrast to US network carriers, where a large number of unsavory FAs work. On every flight, we checked our bags, and they arrived without any problems. Every flight departed early or on schedule. While our twentysomething children watched movies on the IFE, I powered my laptop using the seat outlet. In all honesty, I didn't mind that there isn't wifi. It feels good to be disconnected. Our ticket package included the food, and since I've taken hundreds of flights on numerous airlines, I don't really have high standards for airline food, so what we had on Norse was perfectly acceptable. All in all, if you're looking for an affordable way to cross the Atlantic, I wholeheartedly endorse Norse. I had a good night's sleep in the premium seats, and the price of their seats plus the fare from Gatwick to Athens was 40% less than the nonstop ticket on United from EWR. My sincere hope is that more people will help this relatively new airline so they can keep going. In my opinion, airline point programs have become so worthless that I've given up on them. When the last two years forced me and the rest of the world to stay home, my favorite pastime was looking up the best travel sites online.
