Then, I have to burst the bubbles.  You are actually looking at the Tottori Sand Dunes in the San’in Kaigan Geopark (Honshu Island).  However, the internet has continuously labeled it as Hokkaido Beach.  So, while those posts are a myth, Hokkaido genuinely has its own incredible now-meets-sea beaches.  Nevertheless, here, I will talk about the “Viral Hokkaido Beach.” I will even give you a brief comparison showing why and how it is different from the actual Hokkaido Beach.  Also, as fantasy is a driving force in Haruki Murakami’s work, the astonishing and actual Hokkaido Beach in Western Japan is nothing short of a dream! It is the land where snow, sand, and sea meet. So, it’s a year-round destination.  However, if you want to witness the golden moments where the sea, sand, and snow meet, you have to plan a trip from December to February.  And let me spill the beans for you. Hokkaido Beach is not located in Hokkaido. Moreover, if you especially want to see the phenomenon of ice, snow, and sand meeting, you have to travel to the main island of Honshu. It completely chokes Hokkaido’s northern waters in a vast white sheet by late January. Istanbul is massive, and for a first-timer, overwhelming. Also, it’s a city that spans across Europe and Asia.  The European areas have their own vibe. and the Asian counterparts nurture distinct cultures.  Also, there is a more subtle divide between the historical landmarks and a more local experience. Each side has its pros and cons.  So, a struggle to find the perfect accommodation can be a challenge.  Hi, in today’s blog, I will talk about where to stay in Istanbul. I have enlisted the budget-friendly, mid-range, and luxury hotel options in this largest city in Turkey. Also, if you want to explore nature-based tourism in Turkey, you can read my guide on Pamukkale, a place rich in historical heritage and natural beauty. Map Of Istanbul As a first-timer, the Sultanahmet Area will be the best place to stay in Istanbul for you. However,  I want you to be familiar with the map of Istanbul so that you can explore more localities.  In other words, if you are visiting Istanbul for the first time, you must explore the following localities.  1. Sultanahmet Sultanahmet is on the European side of Istanbul. As the heart of the Old City, it offers access to all the important historical landmarks.  However, Sultanahmet is touristy and expensive. So, as a first-timer, it may be difficult for you to connect to the city’s true vibe.  Still, it is at a walkable distance of major attractions such as the Süleymaniye Mosque, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, and Spice Bazaar.  2. Galata Galata is close to the Galata Bridge and the Golden Horn. It is a trendy neighborhood. So, you will find many cozy cafes here.  However, the hotel options here are a little less because it is a hilly region.  The places to stay in Galata are Karaköy, Istiklal Avenue, and Galata Tower. Also, don’t miss a stroll across the Galata Bridge.  3. Taksim On the European side of the city, Taksim is located on Galata’s north. Here, hotel options are diverse, and it has a vibrant nightlife.  Furthermore, it is a shopper’s delight!  However, with so many shops, hotels, and restaurants around and a vibrant nightlife, this locality can get crowded and noisy.  Nevertheless, from Taksim, you can enjoy a stroll on Istiklal Avenue, visit the Republic Monument, and the Taksim Mosque.  In addition, it is the best place in Istanbul to try local street food and enjoy a ride in vintage red trams.  4. Kadıköy and Üsküdar Across the Bosphorus, Kadıköy and Üsküdar have the soul of Istanbul. When you go changes the experience almost as much as what you see.  Seasonal Weather And Crowds  Late spring (May) and early autumn (September) are the sweet spot for a Bath visit.   Temperatures sit in a comfortable mild range.  Also, during these windows, the gardens around the Royal Crescent and Royal Victoria Park are at their best.  Furthermore, it is way more relaxed than the peak summer coach-tour crowds.   Summer (June to August) brings the warmest weather and the longest daylight hours.  So, it is ideal for exploring on foot, but also the heaviest footfall at the Roman Baths and Jane Austen Museum.   Booking timed-entry tickets a few days ahead is worth doing during this stretch.   Winter is quieter and atmospheric, especially with the Bath Christmas Market taking over the streets around the Abbey in late November and December.  However, some attractions run shorter hours. The Baths are also busy with holiday visitors.  Getting Around Once You Are In Bath  Bath's compact city centre is best explored on foot.  From the Roman Baths to the Jane Austen Museum to The Lanes-style shopping streets, everything sits within a 15-20 minute walk of the Abbey.   That said, the city is on hills.  So, comfortable shoes matter more here than in flatter English towns.   For day trips to Wells or the Mendip Hills market towns mentioned above, the First Bus network covers most routes from the central bus station.  On the other hand, a rental car gives more flexibility for reaching smaller villages.   If you are arriving from outside the region, Bath Spa railway station sits a short walk from the center.  It has frequent direct trains from London Paddington (around 90 minutes) and Bristol (about 15 minutes). So, a car is unnecessary if you are focusing on Bath. How To Reach Bath?
