However, Tucumán has recently also emerged as an astrotourism hotspot.  The Ampimpa Astronomical Observatory in the Calchaquí Valleys of Tucumán is at the epicenter of this happening astrotourism scenario.  Now, this is an added feather to the crown of Tucumán, the smallest province of Argentina. It offers a vertical journey from the jungle to the desert in 50 kms.  Also, the nickname of Tucumán is not just a fancy phrase.
