Apart from dipping your feet in the glowing Sea of Vaadhoo Island, there are other beautiful experiences that you can attain by visiting different places! On the Island, you cannot miss these natural events or experiences!

Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve

Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve

It is the seventh-largest coral reef, with biodiversity shooting through the roof! You will see the plankton flowing through the coral reef, which maintains the food chain in the Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve, thus sustaining 1200 species of fish.

The total area of the coral reef is 139,700 hectares, including 75 Islands in Baa Atoll! Out of the 75, there are only 13 islands inhabited mostly by Maldivians, while there is only one Island with one tourist resort!

A variety of aquatic and marine lives. If you look in the water, you will find some endangered species, such as Napolean wrasses, green turtles, tawny nurse sharks, and hawksbill turtles. There are mangroves across all the islands!

Thilafushi: The “Rubbish Island”

Thilafushi_ The _Rubbish Island

Maldives attracts 750,000 visitors annually, and this Island is paying the price of that as the rubbish produced by the tourists is all dumped, ditched, and piled like heaps of trash on the smooth white sand and tranquil blue water. The rubbing produced on a per-day basis is almost 3.5 kg!

It was initially a collection of shallow coral reefs, but in 1992, the Male government decided to dump all the garbage here; thus, it has been since called the “Rubbish Island“! The land suffered severely from the 330 tons of trash. Then, the garbage excavators, migrant workers, and refuse freighters were used to handle the Island!

Over the years, the Island has become hazardous while rubbish dumping has been stopped in 2011! It is a place you can check out if you are an environmentalist and want to make a study out of it.

Keahole Point Blowhole

Keahole Point Blowhole

During the winter months, you can check out Keyhole Point, located in Kailua-Kona town, in the western part of the Big Island. Spectators will be fortunate to see the mammalian blowholes, especially because not all are so organically and perfectly made!

When the water rushes through the lava tube opening, which the low viscosity pahoehoe lava has created, the spouts of ocean water swell consistently, battering the rocks!

Feeling Otherworldly Yet…

Now that you know about the Sea of Stars Maldives, you must learn about some safety details! Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon, so there is hardly any chance of getting hurt!

Yet, considering the glowy water is an attraction for people, it can be an attraction for other animals and marine life predators. It is important to understand that even if you live in a resort, you must be careful when visiting the beach!

Comment below about your plans to visit the glowing beach and why!

I Had No Idea When To Visit Mauritius Till I Went There THIS Time!

BY  Abdul Aziz Oct 27, 2023

Mauritius! I had the amazing experience of going to this island country recently, and let me tell you, it was an experience of a lifetime. Initially, I was confused about which time to plan it out for. The temperatures and weather in Mauritius are at odds with the rest of the world because of its position in the middle of the ocean. But, when I got there, lucky as I was, I had arrived just before peak season. I got to know about their culture, their food, and most importantly, the best time to visit Mauritius. Here I will describe to you what Mauritius has to offer in each of the months of the year. If you want to know about Mauritanian weather the year around, make sure to stick it out to the end. Plan your trip then on, accordingly. The Best Time To Visit Mauritius Image Source: images.news18.com Mauritius is known for its sunny beaches and beautiful nature treasures. I am here to give you a season-by-season breakdown of the island. Keep reading! January To March Image Source: www.lexpressproperty.com In Mauritius, January is considered one of the hottest and wettest months of the year. Despite the high rainfall, the island is still quite busy due to the influx of tourists from the Christmas period. You can expect heavy rainfall during late afternoons, and there is a possibility of torrential storms during this month. Similarly, February is also quite hot, humid, and rainy in Mauritius. However, the rain usually doesn't last long and clears up after a few hours. Though not perfect for a beach vacation, February has fewer crowds than January. It is important to note that there is still a chance of cyclones during this month. March marks the Holi Festival, also known as the 'Festival of Colours' on the island. This annual celebration is held in honor of Lord Krishna, a Hindu deity. During the festivities, people line up on the streets and cover themselves with vibrantly-colored powder, creating a jovial atmosphere. Despite being a humid month, March sees less rainfall than January and February. April To June Image Source: media1.thrillophilia.com The month of April is a hot and humid season, making it an ideal time for sun-seekers. However, the Easter holidays make the island quite busy. If you prefer a quieter beach vacation, it's better to plan your trip outside of this period. April is also the beginning of the best time of the year to indulge in surfing or snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters. May is officially the start of winter in Mauritius, but the temperature remains comfortable, and the humidity drops. This month is popular among tourists as there are reasonable travel specials on Mauritius accommodations. The evenings can get chilly, so it is recommended to pack some warmer clothes. June is a cooler month in Mauritius compared to the humid weather at the beginning of the year. If you prefer hot weather, then June may feel much cooler. The trade winds start to increase, and like in May, the evenings can become a little colder. It's the perfect time for kite surfers. July To September Image source: www.eventsmauritius.mu July is also considered a cooler month in Mauritius. If you want to enjoy the best possible weather during this period, it's recommended to visit the North of the Island. Despite the lower temperatures, July is still a popular time of the year due to school holidays in the Northern Hemisphere. I visited Mauritius in August. In Mauritius, August is a month with mild temperatures and no rainfall, making it perfect for sunny days without the scorching heat. I would recommend you stay on the west or north coast during August as these areas provide more shelter from the wind. This month marks the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival, a festival honoring the God Ganesh, and you can see statues of the Elephant God all around the island during the celebration. September is considered the unofficial beginning of peak season in Mauritius. At this time, the strong trade winds start to die down, and the temperatures rise, ushering in the summer months and longer days of sunshine. Despite this, September still offers some quiet beaches, good deals on flights, exciting tours in Mauritius, and discounts on accommodations. October To December Image Source: www.mauvillas.com October is the driest month of the year in Mauritius, and it tends to be a busy time at the most popular destinations on the island. This month is also significant as it is the time for the Hindu festival of Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights. During this festive period, candles and lamps light up the island in a soft glow, making it a beautiful sight to behold. November is characterized by a significant increase in humidity and temperature. The month offers more sunshine, but it's also associated with an increase in rainfall. It's a perfect time for scuba diving enthusiasts who want to catch a glimpse of the seasonal turtles, particularly the Green turtle and the Hawksbill turtle, which are commonly spotted during this period. In December, the last month of the year, Mauritius experiences a surge in global activities, and the island is no exception. Humidity levels rise, and heavy rainfall is expected, mostly in the afternoons. The sea temperature is warmer, making it ideal for water sports such as windsurfing, kayaking, and scuba diving. However, it is advisable to plan your beach holiday well in advance to avoid the high demand during the festive season. Things To Do When Visiting Mauritius Image Source: planetofhotels.com Mauritius is absolutely gorgeous most of the time, and visiting it is a must, whether solo or with family. Here are some things you can try once you decide to try this island country for your next trip: Snorkeling At Blue Bay Marine Park Image Source: static2.tripoto.com If you're interested in witnessing the beautiful marine life of Mauritius, snorkeling is an excellent way to do so. By snorkeling at Blue Bay Marine Park, you'll have the opportunity to closely observe the amazing underwater world of Mauritius that has been hidden for centuries. This excursion will transport you to a different world, allowing you to explore something that is beyond your imagination. Cave Sea Kayaking At Albion Caves Image Source: images.squarespace-cdn.com Kayaking in Mauritius offers a unique and adventurous experience. One such experience is kayaking across the cave sea, providing you with an exclusive opportunity to witness the beauty of the caves. If you are fascinated by caves and enjoy exploring their hidden stories and interesting designs, then you should definitely try a kayaking tour at Albion Caves. Walks With Lions At Casela Park Image Source: toursmauritius.mu Have you ever considered taking a walk with the king of the jungle? If so, Casela Park in Mauritius offers an opportunity to experience the wild side of the jungle by taking a thrilling walk with lions. This excursion in Mauritius promises to give you an adrenaline rush and an unforgettable experience that you may have never imagined! The Benefits Of Having A Passport | Did You Know These

BY  Sibashree Jan 17, 2025

A passport is not just a travel document but a key to unlocking a world of opportunities. While it primarily serves as a means of identification when crossing international borders, having a passport is also crucial for getting emergency assistance and crucial services.  Moreover, it is an important document for career advancement in another country and ensures personal freedom.  As a tourist, you must be aware of all the other benefits of having a passport so that all your rights are reserved, you remain protected during travel, and you stay abroad.  Benefits Of Having A Passport You Did Not Know  When something like a passport has been there since the time of the Bible, you must know how important it is. The Book of Nehemiah mentions that everyone needed a royal travel document from King Artaxerxes I of Persia for travel. Nevertheless, according to popular versions, King Henry V made traveling with passports official.  Again, with time, many perks and benefits were added as the advantages of having a passport. And here, we will discuss them in detail.  1. International Travel Opportunities One of The most obvious benefits of having a passport is traveling internationally. With a valid passport, individuals can visit countries worldwide, whether for leisure, work, or study.  Traveling abroad provides an enriching experience, exposing people to different cultures, languages, and landscapes. It fosters personal growth, broadens perspectives, and creates memories that last a lifetime.  Whether it’s a vacation to a distant beach, a cultural tour in Europe, or exploring a new city for work, a passport is your ticket to adventure and discovery.  If you have an upcoming trip and your passport has expired, you can apply for emergency passport replacement with expedited services.  2. Career Advancement In the modern workplace, international experience is often seen as a valuable asset. Many employers seek individuals who can work across borders, manage global teams, or interact with international clients.  A passport lets employees take advantage of business opportunities abroad, attend international conferences, or work on overseas projects.  Whether you’re moving to a new country for a job or simply taking a short business trip, having a passport can open doors to career advancement and networking opportunities that may not be available without it. 3. Educational Opportunities Unlocking educational opportunities in foreign countries is one of the prime benefits of having a passport. Many students choose to study abroad, whether to earn a degree or participate in exchange programs.  Having a passport is a prerequisite for enrolling in such programs and allows students to gain exposure to different educational systems, research opportunities, and career paths.  Study abroad experiences often enhance personal development and improve academic performance, making students more competitive in the job market upon their return home.  Moreover, students can build a global network, establishing lifelong friendships and professional connections. 4. Easier Access To Healthcare And Services While having a passport is not a direct gateway to health insurance or services, it can make it easier to access medical care while traveling.  Many countries offer reciprocal healthcare agreements, which allow citizens of certain countries to receive medical treatment while abroad. For instance, some European countries provide emergency healthcare to travelers from other member states.  In addition, having a passport makes it easier to apply for travel insurance, which often includes health coverage for medical emergencies abroad. 5. Emergency Assistance Abroad In times of emergency, a passport is crucial for obtaining assistance from your home country’s consulate or embassy.  If you lose your passport, encounter legal trouble, or experience an emergency while abroad, your embassy can assist in arranging a replacement passport or help with emergency services.  Having a passport means you have a lifeline to diplomatic and consular support, making your travels safer and less stressful. 6. Identity And Security A passport serves as an official proof of identity, particularly useful when dealing with immigration authorities or international institutions.  It provides a standardized and secure form of identification that is universally recognized. This helps reduce the risks of identity theft, as passports often come with sophisticated security features, such as biometric data, that make them difficult to forge or alter. 7. Romance Beyond Borders  Yes, in this world of Meta, Tinder, and everything digital, you may find your soulmate across borders. So, it’s an international romance, and every time both of you plan to meet and either of you travel, you will need a passport.  Further, it’s not just about finding a partner beyond the borders of your country. You may plan to fly to exotic locations for pre-wedding shoots, destination weddings, or even a dream honeymoon.  Irrespective of the purpose of the international travel with your partner, both of you will need a visa.  8. An Autobiography Or A Travel Saga Someday… Are you an avid traveler? How many times has your passport been stamped? These stamps can be your pride and like keeping track of the places you have visited. So, a few years later, your passport can be a memoir for you.  Those stamps can vouch for your achievements as a traveler. When you write an autobiography or a travel saga, your passport will be like the reference book. 9. Passport For Someone Always On The Move One of the benefits of having a passport is readiness. Suppose your parents live in another country or your company headquarters is elsewhere. Whenever there is a requirement, you will have to rush. If you have a passport, you will be ready for these sudden travels. However, always be particular about the expiration date of your passport. You must make it a point to renew your passport at least six months before expiration.  10. Legal Safety And Better Child Law Protection Does your child have a passport? It can ensure better legal protection for them. Unfortunately, divorce cases are very common these days, and a lot of couples fight over child custody. If your ex-partner lives abroad and there is an ongoing custody battle or incidents like kidnapping around it, a passport is crucial to fly with your child to safety.  It’s very easy to get a passport for a child. So, you must apply and get one for them.  Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try. Top 13+ Famous Wonders Of India That You Must Visit.
