Based on Kiwi Flights reviews, I will be writing my experience of the Kiwi Flights and how travel experiences can be severely impacted. Further, I will address the advantages and shortcomings of the airlines!

While we have heard about the exciting features of Kiwi flights that apparently helps users to plan their travel itineraries for savings and convenience, several regular users feel it might not always be a smooth ride. Although Kiwi is not really the ideal travel agency for all your trips yet it can prove to be a good tool for specific or even unique situations.

For instance, you came across the perfect flight deal for Europe, but you are located far away from the departing location. Naturally, you will look for flights from your home city, but the prices turn out to be double the rates you were getting from the initial deal. In that case, most of us would bid adieu to another dream vacation.

But, instead, have you thought of taking a different approach?

With the help of Kiwi, you can combine another bus, train, or flight with the initial cheap deal to reach your dream destination without spending a lot of money. So, we decided to check out Kiwi and decide whether it’s legit or just another scam platform. Stay tuned to find out more.

Exploring The Kiwi App: All That You Need To Know!

Today, we are here to find out – is Kiwi flights legit? The official website of the platform looks pretty cool. Plus, the app has a good 4.3 rating, accompanied by mostly positive reviews from guests. But then we can’t just start depending on every platform based on positive online reviews though it is certainly a convincing factor.

When booking a flight on Kiwi, it will take only 20 minutes but there are other concerns. With technical difficulties regularly occurring, booking flights in Kiwi can be a huge risk! There are instances when booking flights can more time. according to Kiwi Flights reviews, there is another issue because while booking, if there are technical problems, it might lead to an incomplete booking.

So without wasting any time, scroll down to find out all that you need to know about the Kiwi platform – because we did check it out, and here’s what we found out!

What Is Kiwi?

So, what is Kiwi? Welcome to the Tour And Travel Blog’s Kiwi flights review. Today, we will discuss Kiwi, a travel agency that operates online. Based in the beautiful Czech Republic, the Kiwi platform specializes in combining different flights with various transportation types into one booking to make your dream vacation possible at affordable rates.

The platform uses a wide database filled with different bus, train, and flight schedules – these are combined together to provide users with travel options that are fast and cheap. While the platform can give you a great deal – a cheap flight combined with the right bus, train, or another flight can sometimes reduce your travel expenditure drastically.

However, there’s only one problem – at times, Kiwi can end up creating itineraries that are either complicated or overly competitive just to save some money.

Using Kiwi Flights: When Should You Use Kiwi?

For most of us, using Kiwi flights makes sense when the expenditure for any planned trip turns out to be really costly. For instance, you are in the middle of some last-minute emergency, or you need to book an international flight (one-way), or your itinerary is too complicated, and you are looking for an easy way to make things cheaper on the itinerary.

Yet, it has been observed that Kiwi Flights have had a 95% accuracy rate in predicting flight prices several months in advance. When combining the features of low-cost carriers along with analyzing airfare, it is one of the best on the market.

In all these cases, using Kiwi flights seems like an obvious solution. Here we can check out the benefits of using the Kiwi platform – stay tuned to find out more.

  • Save on expensive airfares.
  • Book one-way international flights.
  • Book multi-city trips with the help of Kiwi Nomad.
  • Manage last-minute emergencies.

There are some advantages that Kiwi flights have such as saving on expensive airfares along with booking one-way international flights. There are different options to make the booking via Kiwi Nomad for multi-city trips. This site is one of the best for last-minute bookings according to the Kiwi Flights reviews! When there is an emergency, you can make the booking on Kiwi Flights as there is always some seats available last moment.

Are There Downsides To Kiwi Flights?

While Kiwi is a good tool for booking cheap flights and making your itinerary simple, what most Kiwi flights reviews won’t tell you are the downsides of the platform that you have to note before you can start using the same. So, what are the downsides of Kiwi flights? Let’s find out – without wasting time, scroll down to find out more.

  • There’s no guarantee that the flight options you will find on Kiwi will be the cheapest.
  • If you do not pay extra, then there’s no reliable protection for your connecting flights.
  • One of the biggest drawbacks is that the flights are not cheap so, people planning on traveling on a budget will find it difficult to book!

At times, the authorities at Kiwi Flights take guarantees when booking flights. They inform customers that they will be provided connecting flights if there is an issue however, there is no guarantee of that! I personally would suggest to not rely on this guarantee considering there have been too many complaints and concerns regarding luggage lost, flight connections and other issues.

Is Kiwi Legit? The User Reviews You Needed:

So, the question that always pops up in reviews has made an appearance here as well – is kiwi.com legit? There are so many different kinds of customer reviews on Kiwi Flights that it’s honestly difficult to deduce. While the platform has a 4.3 rating on Google Play, it has only 1.5 stars on TrustPilot, and that too from more than 60K reviews.

One of the best features is that the Airlines provide services to a wide variety of places. apart from that, they also take bookings last moment however there are concerns with improper bookings. At times, customers have experienced issues with flight bookings regarding availability and change. There are, however, some hacks that people who are traveling can use so that they can travel on a budget!

A majority of concerns that customers have with Kiwi have a lot to do with different issues, such as long delays on different refund requests, improper bookings, and not always the cheapest rates. Naturally, you need to proceed with some caution while using the Kiwi platform.

Review By Damien Powell:

“I’ve used this service and app for several trips, one being a transatlantic flight. These are very good deals, but what really helps is the travel insurance that they provide. I had a delayed flight in Berlin that caused me to miss my connection in the US. They found me a flight home at no cost, it was really great during a very stressful journey.

Review By Maxim Diatchenko:

“An extremely irresponsible company. Bad communication: no phone contacts, email once a week. Very unreliable service. But they have a great website and mobile app. My story: I bought tickets months in advance. My criteria were: to fly in the evening. A couple of weeks before departure, the departure time was changed to nine and a half hours, moving it to the morning. I asked them to find me a similar flight or refund money to buy new tickets. They refused.”

Review By John Villielm:

“Absolutely ridiculous service. We booked two separate trips for the family to visit us overseas. Both trips were booked for 4 total flights, all of which were purchased as a set. Due to Covid, only 1 flight was canceled, but that started the problems. They give you two options, 1) 200euro credit (the tickets as a set were $3K and $4k), so 200euro is nowhere close to matching that. 2) a 3-month wait on a “potential” refund.”

Our Verdict: Use Kiwi Flights With Caution!

Most of the kiwi.com reviews are not great, which makes it absolutely important that you use Kiwi flights with caution. If the platform provides good service to you, then that’s great, but if they don’t, then you will be the only one losing out. So we recommend proceeding with caution while planning your trip via Kiwi.

In recent times, there have been several complaints where the flight tickets have been known to be lowest however, they have been cancelled without prior information. The refund process has also been subject to availability and change so, you need to be careful before booking flight tickets.

Feel free to share your thoughts on the same with us – and while sharing your thoughts, let us know about your experience, if you have used the platform before, in the comments below.

Where Are the Best Places to See African Elephants in The Wild?

BY  Sibashree Dec 10, 2025

Seeing elephants in the wild? Wow. Just wow. They’re huge, slow, and somehow look like they know everything. I mean, you watch them, and it’s like, “Yep, this is Africa walking by.” That is, these giant elephants literally showcase the continent’s untamed spirit. If you’re thinking about a safari, you’re probably asking, “Right, but where do I actually go?” There are loads of places.  Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa is one of them. Big herds, easy to spot, and honestly… it feels kind of magical. Watching a whole family cross a dusty plain, or spotting a tiny calf sticking close to its mom… that kind of thing stays with you.  But yeah, luck helps, and knowing a bit about when and where elephants move helps a lot. So, if you are also curious about where to see African elephants in the wild, I have got the perfect guide.  In this blog, I will be highlighting all the famous places where you can find them and experience a journey amidst the wildest nature. So, keep reading to know more! Where To See African Elephants In The Wild? Even though there are countless zoos and sanctuaries to explore, not everywhere can you find an African elephant. That’s why you need to visit the specific regions where these majestic tuskers truly show themselves. So, here’s where to see African elephants in the wild.  1. Botswana: The Mega-Herd Sanctuary If you want numbers that will make your jaw drop, Botswana’s got it. They have the biggest elephant population in the world, and it’s over 130,000. I know, crazy. So, no matter which sanctuary you visit, you will definitely find some friendly elephants walking by. 2. Chobe National Park Chobe is kind of legendary. Especially the riverfront. In the dry season from May to October, elephants just pile in by the thousands. They drink, splash, hang out, just being elephants. Take a boat, get close, watch them play. Honestly, your brain will keep going, “Wait! Is this even real?” Now, the best viewing time is during the summer months of April to October. That’s when you get to see them flooding the riverside in herds.  But during the rainy weather, they migrate and come back again during the dry season of winter.  3. Okavango Delta The Delta is different. Slower, more spread out. Elephants wander through reeds, walk in shallow water.  Sometimes they even swim across little channels. It’s so calm, almost hypnotic. You can just watch for hours, and yeah, it’s peaceful. Unlike the other places, this area is the transition route for the migratory elephants. That is, during the monsoons, they pass through this region for food and water. But the area often faces conflicts between the herds and the local communities. For instance, the herds at times raid the crop fields. Causing havoc and outrage among the local communities. 4. South Africa: Accessible And Diverse Viewing South Africa is great if you want elephants without trekking into the middle of nowhere. The parks are easy to get to, and you can usually spot them without much stress. 5. Addo Elephant National Park Addo, in the Eastern Cape, is perfect. Big herds chill around cars, and their darker color makes them stand out. Plus, you can mix safari with a beach day. It’s like, “Why not, right?” Two awesome things at once. Additionally, it features one of the densest populations of African elephants. So, when you visit the park, you can enjoy the unique elephant viewing along with the biodiversity of the area. But these elephants are characterized by shorter stature and thicker tusks. Making them stand on their hind legs to grab food from taller branches. Another interesting fact about this park is that the herds are led by a matriarch in the group. That is, the female members of the herd lead others to food and shelter. 6. Tanzania: An Elephant Hub Sure, everyone talks about the Great Migration, but Tanzania’s elephants are incredible too. Mainly after the massive poaching crisis, it is finally reviving its herds of elephants to balance the biodiversity. 7. Tarangire National Park Tarangire doesn’t get enough attention. In the dry season, elephants gather around the Tarangire River. And the baobab trees? Massive. Like, movie-set huge. Watching elephants wander under them… wow. Just wow. Moreover, the African elephants choose diverse locations for their habitats such as swamps, savannahs, baobab forests, and even the rocky hills. Since they play a massive role in shaping the park’s ecosystem, they are protected under strict poaching laws. So, the population of the elephants can recover from its below-average levels. 8. Zambia: Walking Among Giants If you want up-close-and-personal, emotional stuff, South Luangwa in Zambia is it. Walking safaris started here. They’re still amazing. Moreover, the concentration is finally starting to grow after the major poaching crisis. Also, the laws are aiming to curb poaching and restore the elephant population in the area. This way, they can maintain the natural connection of the local communities with the elephants. So, the initiatives have started to conserve the giant beings from being eliminated. 9. South Luangwa National Park Guides take you out on foot. Yeah, walking. You’re safe, don’t worry. But when an elephant passes nearby, you feel the ground move. It’s humbling. Slow, personal, and totally sticks with you. Moreover, nearly three-fourths of the entire population of elephants in Zambia resides in South Luangwa. So, when you visit this national park, you will get to see some of the most iconic and brilliant ones. Especially near the riverside, you can spot the elephants crossing in herds. So, this is the only time to view them so closely and vividly without needing your travel binoculars. Visiting African Elephants To Enjoy The Journey Botswana’s endless plains, Addo’s herds, Zambia’s walking safaris… it all matters. Visiting these places helps keep elephants safe.  But honestly, these are the places where you can see the African elephants in the wild. And that’s a memory you keep forever. Future generations deserve that too! Don’t you think?

Top 11 Dark Tourism In USA Destinations

BY  Sibashree Sep 30, 2024

With curiosity being the primary driving force of dark tourism, it has often taken us to the places of macabre. Further, its association with the eagerness to know about human tragedies and pay respect to war heroes leads our path to war memorials and historic places. The USA has no dearth of such sites thanks to the massive impact of the Cold War and nuclear testing or deployment. Also, the country had ED Gein and many other barbaric serial killers of recent times. So, it is no wonder that with a 1.5% expected CAGR between 2024 and 2034, it is one of the topmost countries in dark tourism. The sites for dark tourism in USA are countless, covering almost all aspects, such as thanatourism, ghost tourism, warfare tourism, disaster tourism, etc. Here, I have picked places like Alcatraz Island, Alcatraz Prison, and Ed Gein’s Farm Houses that will offer you the most unusual experience. So, it’s time to be a dark tourist in the USA! THESE Are The Best Dark Tourism In USA Destinations  The USA has probably experienced the most significant human tragedy in the 21st century. It was 11th September 2001, and the hijacked Flight 11 and Flight 175 struck the Twin Towers, taking the lives of 2977 people.  The 9/11 Memorial & Museum was built after 11 years of this devastating incident. It was a tribute to the survivors of the 9/11 attack and the terrorist attacks of 26h February 1993. It also marked the anniversary of the end of the recovery and rescue work of the 9/11 devastation.  Today, it is one of the biggest draws for dark tourism in the USA. But what about the other sites that are drenched in tragedy, paranormal acts, history, and more? Let’s explore them! 1. Alcatraz Island And Alcatraz Prison Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, or Alcatraz Prison, was one of the most infamous prisons in the history of America. It was located on Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay of California.  Alcatraz Prison, or Alcatraz Island, goes into the history of American criminal justice thanks to its association with famous criminals and their attempts to escape the most secure walls. Today, the prison, preserved for tourists, gives you an overview of the lives of the guards and inmates. This Is Why Alcatraz Prison Is A Famous Tourist Destination  Operating as a Federal Prison from 1934 to 63, Alcatraz Prison had inmates like Machine Gun Kelly and Al Capone. Further, the prison was famous as “The Rock” because of its impeccable construction and security measures. Even after the stringent security measures, there were many escape attempts to go beyond the walls. The Anglin Brothers and Frank Morris managed to escape the prison. However, what happened to them afterward is still a mystery.  Moreover, Alcatraz Island tells tales from the 19th century when it functioned as a military fort. In the late 1960s, the Native American activists used Alcatraz Island as their base to be vocal about the rights and cultural preservations of the Native Americans.  2. Salem On the North Shore of Massachusetts, Salem is a place of witch trials, historical architecture, and mystical intrigue for the modern followers of Paganism and the Wiccan Community. The air here is heavy with the cry of the women being executed in the infamous Witch Trial of 1692. Further, the cobblestone street and historical structures scream about injustice, paranoia, supernatural practices, and more. The museums and preserved sites here offer an immersive experience, especially if you are a woman with an independent mind. Witch Hunting has always been a way of patriarchal control since time immemorial.  Why Salem Is A Popular Site For Dark Tourism In USA Salem is a popular site for dark tourism in USA for multiple reasons.  The Witch Trial of 1692 As I just mentioned, it is the site of the Witch Trials 1692. Many people, especially women, were suspected of practising Witchcraft. They were executed, registering one of the most brutal incidents of American Colonial History.  Recently, the city has owned its history of the 1692 Witch Trial and emerged as a hub of paranormal tourism. The Historical Sites of Salem  The city has preserved its colonial buildings and structures well. Even the cobblestone streets of the city's historic district have a unique charm.  A walk through these streets is an experience for any dark academia enthusiast or a dark tourist interested in American Colonial History.  Modern Wiccan Community And The Acceptance Of Various Belief Systems As the place of the Witch Hunt of 1692, Salem has attracted many Pagan and Wiccan Communities across the globe.  Today, the city practices and promotes tolerance of various religious beliefs and practices. Even practicing modern Witchcraft is allowed here.  Halloween Celebrations Salem has become the most happening destination for dark tourism in USA during Halloween. In the month of October, the city has many Halloween-themed events and a tour of the spooky or haunted houses in the locality.  3. Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg National Military Park is one of the rarest dark tourism destinations in the USA, and it is a place of history, haunted stories, and ghost tours.  The Gettysburg National Military Park is associated with the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the most important battles of the American Civil War. The three-day-long 1863 battle from July 1st to 3rd led to the loss of around 6000 human lives.  What Happened At The Battle Of Gettysburg? The Battle of Gettysburg was a major conflict between the  Confederate Army of Northern Virginia and the Union Army of the Potomac.  General Robert E. Lee led the Confederate Army, and General George G. Meade led the Union Army. The Union Army grabbed victory in the battle, which was the biggest blow to the Confederate Clan.  5. Ed Gein’s Farmhouse Ed Gein’s farmhouse in Wisconsin was witness to the heinous acts of serial killers in the 1950s. Gein was obsessed with his mother, and his ultimate aim was to make a skinsuit to quasi-resurrect her.  His heinous acts include killing women and making household items using their body parts. When police searched Ed Gein’s farmhouse, they found a sofa made of human skin, a lampshade made of human face, and many other disturbing stuff.  The deeds of Ed Gein have inspired many films and documentaries, and his farmhouse today is a popular place for dark tourism in USA. The place is attached to gore, inhuman crimes, and also a complex understanding of human psychology. Further, it is an account of rural American life in the 1950s.  6. Bonaventure Cemetery The Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia, is a popular dark tourism destination because of its ethereal charm. Apparently, it looks like a somber cemetery with beautifully carved statues, camellias, azaleas, and draped oaks.  However, the moment you enter the cemetery, you will feel like being in an unknown era. Its statues and relics start whispering the stories of people buried here.  The most famous person to be buried here is Johnny Mercer, the American songwriter. This cemetery also houses the life-size marble sculpture of Little Gracie Watson. It is one of the few funerary monuments in Georgia to depict the exact likeness of the deceased.  7. The Cecil Hotel “I am beyond good and evil. I will be avenged. Lucifer dwells in us all. That's it.” - That was the words of Richard Ramirez, one of the most notorious serial killers of the USA. The next destination I am going to discuss is related to him. Richard Ramirez was a guest of The Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, and it was also the location of many mysterious deaths. As a popular dark tourism spot, the Cecil Hotel and its storied halls give visitors goosebumps. It’s captivating, indeed!  8. Ground Zero Ground Zero, or the World Trade Center Site, is one of the topmost sites for dark tourism in USA. The World Trade Center was a commercial complex spanning 16 acres in lower Manhattan. The 9/11 attack in 2001 crashed it into dust as two hijacked planes struck the Twin Towers.  Al-Qaeda, an Islamic Extremist Group founded by Osama bin Laden, was behind this attack and the greatest human tragedy of modern times. As I have mentioned, 2977 people lost their lives in this incident.  Today, the place is important for dark tourism in USA for its educational and historical value. It is also a place to reflect upon the lives lost and how America has risen from this tragedy. It shows the grit and excellence of America as a nation.  What To Do At Ground Zero As A Dark Tourist? Visit the 9/11 Memorial dedicated to the victims. Spend some time near the 9/11 Survivor Tree. Walk through the 9/11 Memorial Glade. Visit the 9/11 Museum. Pay a visit to Saint Paul's Chapel. Do you know that the 9/11 Museum here has more than 10000 objects collected from the debris of victims and other people who offered rescue services after the attack? It opened in May 2014 and offers the most moving experience documenting the details and history of the 9/11 attack.   9. Badlands National Park The Badlands National Park in South Dakota is “surreal,” for lack of a better word. The erosion of nature for millions of years has resulted in the eeriest formations here. Further, these formations cast the longest shadow during the Sunset, giving you a chill down the spine.  Further, the ridges and canyons here tell tales of ancient tribes who lived here. The wind rustling through the ridges sounds like the ancestors' whispers from a bygone era. Moreover, you will lose count of the time in this most beautiful, desolate land.  10. Area 51, Nevada Are you a fan of conspiracy theories? Area 51 in Nevada will be the best dark tourism in USA destination for you. The mystery of this place revolves around the tales of extraterrestrials found here.  For the dark tourists, it is a place of intrigue related to military secrets and alien attacks (?).  11. The Texas School Book Depository https://www.instagram.com/p/Cz8zbSjqb6P/?img_index=1 The Texas School Book Depository in Dallas, Texas, is where the assassination of President John F. Kennedy took place. The assassination of the president on 22nd November 1963, had deep national and international implications.  Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly shot the president, leading to one of the most tragic incidents in American history.  12. Museum Of Tolerance https://www.instagram.com/p/CqqbS30PyIa/ The Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles was built in 1993. Simon Wiesenthal was a holocaust survivor, and his human rights organization, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, built this museum.  This museum has many exhibits recording the most notorious stories of intolerance worldwide. The mission of the museum is to “remind us of the past, so that we may forge a better, more harmonious future.” That is what dark tourism should aim to achieve by triggering positive moral emotions.  Here is a list of the permanent exhibits in the museum.  The Holocaust (a 70-minute dramatic presentation taking you to Nazi-dominated Europe between the 1920s and 1945) The Tolerancenter (shows major issues of intolerance faced in our everyday lives) Finding Our Families, Finding Ourselves (exhibits of Americans with interesting personal histories) Para Todos Los Niños or For All The Children (a depiction of the struggles of Latino families in Southern California) The Exhibit of Anne Frank (a representation of the iconic diary of Anne Frank, depicting her plight in multimedia formats) Overall, it’s a museum that depicts the exploitation of women and children, terrorism, social media violence, and much more! Moreover, anyone interested in the American civil rights movement will find it a significant destination for dark tourism in USA. Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try. A Guide To Traverse City Beach – 10 Best Beaches To Explore

BY  Barsha Jan 17, 2023

Planning to check out the Traverse City beach sometime soon? But what beach will you go to - there are so many beautiful beaches in this area of the United States that you will be left spoilt for choice - we know we were! So, the next time you are planning a trip to the beach, don’t forget about Traverse City. Keep reading to find out! A Guide To Traverse City Beach - 10 Best Beaches To Explore! There are so many beautiful hotels that you will b spoilt for choice - so choosing the location based on the popular hotels of the area would be a wrong choice. Instead, how about finding out which is the prettiest beach first before you can book your hotels? But here’s a list of hotels to help you out anyway! Bayshore Resort, The Baywatch Resort, Grand Beach Resort Hotel, Delamar Traverse City, Parkshore Resort, Cherry Tree Inn & Suites, Sugar Beach Resort Hotel, Pinestead Reef Resort, The Beach Haus Resort, and Pointes North Beachfront Resort Hotel. Once you are done going through the hotels, scroll down to read about the prettiest beaches in Traverse City. 1. West End Beach: West End Beach is perhaps our favorite Traverse City beach - it was so pretty and, more importantly, not crowded. Perfect for your next weekend getaway, you can’t miss out on this pretty little beach. Review By Kasey Chappel: “Beautiful serene views, relaxing by the bay is bar none! Watching the sailboats listening to the birds, and staring at the water is very relaxing! I recommend anybody stop by, hang up a hammock and chill out for a while ?” 2. Clinch Park: There are several beaches in Traverse City but none like the beautiful beaches in Clinch Park. Not just the internet but our personal experience tells us that these beaches are hand down the prettiest! Review By Desi Carpenter: Chilled little water pad & "obstacle" course for the kids. The beach area is usually (always) clean, with friendly people and amazing views right on the pier. Great area to park and be able to access downtown or walk behind the buildings on the boardwalk. 3. Haserot Beach: Honestly, Haserot Beach is a gem - one of the prettiest hidden gems that we came across on our trip to the different beaches in and around Traverse City. Plus, this beach is free from rocks and comes with a nice picnic area, vault toilet, and playground. Review By Sebastian Cowgill: Great swimming spot with a nice scenic drive on the way in. On the day we went there were only two other groups so it was nice and private. It was the only beach we went to in the area that wasn’t crowded. There’s also a great boat launch right there so you can drop in easily. 4. Traverse City State Park Beach: Another Traverse City beach we really loved was the Traverse City State Park Beach. It’s so family-friendly and perfect for anyone planning to travel to the beach with children. Review By Doug Smith: This is a fairly long beach that runs West of the entrance and all the way to the Pinestead Reef timeshare resort. It used to be a deep beach but the water levels are up (can't fault the park). Picnic tables and benches are well maintained (many beaches lack these). Long grassy area (another plus that many lack). Pedestrian bridge from the state campground on another side of the highway. 5. East Bay Park: It’s highly possible that you might not be a fan of those big city beaches that are always crowded and even the water’s so deep. In that case, the beaches in East Bay Park are perfect for you - it’s relatively less crowded and the water’s pretty shallow. Review By Citallwic: I’ve visited a number of the parks and trails in the East Bay Regional Park District over the years, most recently enjoying May afternoon walks on the Contra Costa Canal Trail and the new George Miller Trail. Briones Regional Park remains my favorite component of the district system, and I especially like to be there when the raptor migration is in full swing. I am SO grateful for all the hard work and cooperative efforts that have made the East Bay Regional Park District one of the finest park/trail systems in America. 6. Bryant Park: Amongst the different Traverse City beaches, the ones in Bryant Park are perhaps the most popular amongst the local residents. So, if you want a local beach flavor then heading over to Bryant Park is a great idea. Review By Lucky M: This beach is lovely. The parking lot is really small, which can be a problem, but it also limits the crowds. There is lots of room on the expanse of nice, clean sand to spread out. The water is mostly pretty shallow, so it's great for the kids to play safely, and there's also a great playground. There is a nice bathhouse with flush toilets and sinks. For visitors with disabilities, there is a special path all the way down the beach that a wheelchair can easily navigate, and a special bench to accommodate them. In fact, the path is so nice that everyone was using it to walk on! The city has really done a beautiful job with this beach. 7. M.C. Beach: Another one of our favorite Traverse City beach is located at M.C. Beach! It’s beautiful, and the beach has cute tables - up for a gateway with your girl gang? Then this one’s surely your best shot! Review By B9008UBmichaelm: We have known the Marbella Club for many years, but due to circumstances this is the first time we have been back for a few weeks in 3 years. The significant and noticeable development always invites us to spend the days and evenings there. Especially for lunch the last few days at MC Beach - to enjoy the warm welcome by Federica, the cool service and the delicious recommendations by Benjamin, Borja or Tani (in no particular order) cannot be surpassed in terms of professional nonchalance. The entire team does a terrific job and it is a great pleasure to be there. Bravo and chapeau! We are already looking forward to lunch today. 8. Taylor Park Long Lake Township: You don’t need to search with terms like ‘beach traverse city Michigan’ - if you are looking for a beach that’s local and small, then definitely head over to the beaches at Taylor Park Long Lake Township! Review By Mitchman1964: I am a local Realtor residing in Long Lake Township who spends a great deal of time recreating on Long Lake with friends and family. I've sold many lakefront homes on this gorgeous inland lake located just 10-15 min. West of Traverse City. The roughly 3,000 acre all-sports lake is popular for swimming and boating with its 5 islands, nesting bald eagles and loons, deer and other wildlife. It's crystal clear waters, sandy bottom and relatively shallow depth make for a user friendly experience for families and fishing. There are two public boat launch access points, one at he North end of the lake just West of the Village and the other on the West side of Long Lake off of Crescent Shores. This is one of the most desirable inland lakes and bodies of water in all of the Grand Traverse Region. For more info, I can be reached at (231) 645-2323 and I'm happy to assist you in your vacation plans or finding the lakefront property of your dreams! Sunset Park: While people will recommend the sugar beach traverse city area, it will be so much better to just head over to Sunset Park - it’s pretty and perfect, plus you get to see one of the most beautiful sunsets. Review By Susan Page: Very nice, quiet park. It's very clean. There are swings and another piece of playground equipment. Close to the water and far enough from the road. It's fairly quiet and has benches and picnic tables. Can enjoy a terrific sunset. Parking is plentiful. Enjoy this park. 10.
