To start with, there are architectural marvels in Europe. Alongside there are fantastic natural settings like the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland.  I always feel ecstatic when I’m on a Europe trip. I bet all travelers feel the same way. But I admit, it is impossible to cover all spectacular locations simultaneously. So, you must sort out some of the finest places you can cover in your trip.  Firstly, choose accessible locations. Secondly, go for connecting destinations to smooth and streamline your trip. Let me help you spot the most exciting places you must cover on your coming Europe trip.  1. Eiffel Tower – Paris, France What could be a better location to start your Europe trip? Around 75% of Europe's average 7 million foreign tourists visit the Eifel Tower each year.  European landmarks like this one always attract a mammoth number of tourists. After all, many people search for package European holidays to France. However, the prime reason is to see this incredible structure!  This monumental structure is the pride of Paris. But French tourism rests a lot on it. Meanwhile, the tower has already become a romantic destination. What’s more, it is a work of sheer artistic brilliance.  Things You Can Do?  To see such a site with the naked eye is a big tick to the checklist itself. Meanwhile, the Eifel Tower has a separate fanbase among young adults and romantic couples. You may also climb up the tower top.  When the panoramic view of the heart of Paris hits you, the feeling is different. Every day is a good time to visit the Eifel Tower.  Thirdly, you can enjoy a fancy picnic in the Champ de Mars with all that Parisian vibes. Based on license, permits, and rules, your entry ticket to the place may cost you €14,20 to €35.30.       If you don’t feel like climbing up, you may stand near the iron structure of the monument. Now tell me what would your visit to the Eifel Tower be like?  2. Colosseum – Rome, Italy The Roman Colosseum is indeed one of the best European landmarks. Firstly, the Colosseum gives a crude spark of ancient history. Secondly, it is a visual treat.  I can vouch there is nothing akin to the Colosseum in the world. Meanwhile, do you know the history of the Colosseum?  It is a gigantic amphitheater. People flocked there to see live gladiator battles. I was mesmerized by the seamless Roman architecture and engineering marvel when I visited the place. There’s a story oozing out from every wall you touch.  If you are imaginative like me, you might still hear the buzz of swords clanking, crowds rumbling, and the mercury rising.  When I last visited Rome, they had a Colosseum super saver offer on ticket options. Usually, the entry ticket price is 94.64 Euros. However, we got it at 44% off. Let me know the current entry price in the comments if you’ve been there recently.  3. Acropolis – Athens, Greece Are you a fan of Greek history and aesthetics? Then, nothing would seem more appealing than a trip to Athens. I paid for a trip to Acropolis last year. So, I will keep it on my list. Above all, it is worth visiting if it’s your first time in Greece.  However, Acropolis is no super-structure to amaze you. Instead, it is a cluster of temples in ruins and surrounding civilization. The place is 512 feet above the sea level.  I liked the Parthenon more than anything here. My PoV is the best sample of the inspiring Greek architecture. You should also know that sunrise or sunset is the best time to visit the place. The place is wrapped in marbles.  The place emits a serene glow when the lush golden streaks of sunlight fall on them. It’s the same, both times of the day.  4. Buckingham Palace – London, England While many associate Buckingham Palace with the British monarchy, it’s more than just a royal residence—it’s a cultural landmark.  On my first Europe trip, I covered Buckingham Palace. I feel all travelers should also do the same. The Guard ceremony is something you can't miss. Plus, there is a lot more to do here. Strolling around the palace gardens or admiring the grand façade feels special. Ithinkl that’s the best part about the European Landmarks. Most places are scenic and seem like an extension of nature.  What I liked the most was the regal British aura inside the palace.  5. La Sagrada Familia – Barcelona, Spain One of my favorite European Landmarks is Barcelona. True, I haven’t covered Spain yet. But I can say from my research that The La Sagrada Familia is the place to be, if you are in Barcelona.  I hope you also know about the legendary Antoni Gaudi, who designed the La Sagrada Familia. If you love aesthetics and found Athens praise-worthy, you will definitely love it here.  Usually, ticket prices don’t vary. But prices may be slightly higher during the carnivals. The baseline- thecoste of tickets will vary between 29 to 49 Euros. But one thing, the place is not free for children. Tickets for them could range between 20 to 42 Euros.  From what the visitors say, you need 2 hours to explore the space entirely. I am also eager to visit Barcelona and be here. The spires and the stained glasses primarily draw me. But it’s not the windows only. The complex facades also appeal to me.  6. Neuschwanstein Castle – Bavaria, Germany Straight out of a fairytale, Neuschwanstein Castle is as enchanting as it gets. Nestled in the Bavarian Alps, it inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, and it’s easy to see why.  The combination of its romantic architecture and stunning natural backdrop creates a magical experience. For the best view, hike up to Marienbrücke Bridge—you won’t regret it. 7. Grand Canal – Venice, Italy Venice feels like a living museum, but the Grand Canal is the show's star. Gliding along in a gondola or Vaporetto offers a unique perspective of the city’s architecture, bridges, and colorful buildings.  Each corner of the canal tells a story, whether a grand palazzo or a bustling market. It’s a slice of Italy you’ll never forget. 8. Stonehenge – Wiltshire, England Stonehenge is one of Europe’s most mysterious landmarks. These ancient stones, arranged in a circular formation, puzzle historians.  Was it a calendar? A religious site?  Standing among the stones, you can’t help but feel a connection to the past. Visiting during the summer or winter solstice makes the experience even more atmospheric. 9. Charles Bridge – Prague, Czech Republic Spanning the Vltava River, Charles Bridge is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Lined with statues and offering stunning views of Prague Castle, it’s a dream for photographers and romantics alike.  Whether you visit at sunrise for a peaceful stroll or in the evening when it’s bustling with street performers, the bridge has an undeniable charm. 10. Plitvice Lakes National Park – Croatia Nature lovers, this one’s for you. Plitvice Lakes National Park is a paradise of cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes, and lush greenery. Wooden walkways wind through the park, allowing you to explore its beauty up close.  The vibrant turquoise waters are almost surreal, making it feel like you’ve entered another world. Do you know where the name of the Zion National Park came from? The name has come from the Bible, as the Old Testament calls the City of Jerusalem Zion.  This national park has the most diverse landscape, with plateaus, forests, and deserts. Further, it is home to over 800 plant species and 290 bird varieties.  “A visit to a river, a canyon rim, and a pine forest will give you a chance to see plenty of different birds. Birds are very active at dawn and dusk. They sing more at these times, making them easier to locate than midday. Nocturnal birds like owls are also active at dawn and dusk, making them easier to locate than at night.” Ally O’Rullian, Ranger, Zion National Park. Hiking is the best activity in the park to enjoy a close encounter with the wildlife and geology of the park. Also, camping here and living under the stars will be an amazing experience. Some hiking trails can be completed within one hour, and some will take an entire day. Further, these trails will take you through lush valleys and meadows and make you visit rugged mountains and deserts.  So, let’s explore the trails. 1. Watchman Trail Difficulty Level: Moderate Distance: 2.7 Miles Trekking Time: 2 Hours Pet-Friendly: No Trailhead: Zion Canyon Visitor Center Watchman Trail is one of my favorites in Zion National Park because it is peaceful. Also, it is a kid and family-friendly hiking trail with a beautiful view of the lower Zion Canyon.  You will further enjoy the view of the Towers of the Virgin and the town of Springdale from this trail.  Moreover, this trail is a great path to learn about the desert plantation in the park.  2. Lower Emerald Pool Trail  Difficulty Level: Easy Distance: 1.2 Miles Trekking Time: 1 Hour Pet-Friendly: No Trailhead: Zion Lodge The Lower Emerald Pool Trail is one of the easiest trails in the park, and you can explore the route with your family thanks to the gentle terrain.  Further, walking through the woods of pinyon and juniper is comfortable for children. Moreover, the hike ends with a refreshing view of the Lower Emerald Pool and waterfalls. These waterfalls are ephemeral.  However, if you want to explore more challenging trails, you can try the connecting Upper Emerald Pool and Kayenta trails.  3. Observation Point Difficulty Level: Difficult Distance: 8 Mile Trekking Time: 7 Hours Pet-Friendly: No Trailhead: Weeping Rock The Observation Point trek through the East Rim Trail stands out because it offers the best view of the nearby attractions. Further, you will especially love the view of Zion Canyon’s lower end.  However, this trekking route comes with 2200 feet of steep elevation. So, ensure that you have the right physical endurance and proper hydration.  4. Pa’Rus Trail Difficulty Level: Easy Distance: 3.5 Miles Trekking Time: 1 Hour Pet-Friendly: Yes Trailhead: Visitor Center If you want to watch the best sunset in Zion National Park and capture beautiful landscape views, Pa’Rus Trail is the best hiking route for you. Further, it is the only national park trail allowing dogs and pets.  It is an easy trek. You can explore it with your kids and family. You will begin the trek listening to the serene sounds of the Virgin River. Then, as you advance, you will get the best view of the Watchman.  Backpacking Hikes In Zion National Park Overnight hiking or backpacking trips are very popular in Zion National Park. Despite being strenuous hikes, these trails offer the most scenic views.  If you are willing to explore any of the following backpacking trails, you must have proper food, water, and supplement arrangements.  La Verkin Creek Trail Trail Distance: 14.4 Miles Trail Head: Lee Pass Difficulty Level: Challenging The La Verking Creek Trail takes you to the Kalob Arch. It is one of the biggest free-standing arches in the world.  As you start the trek from Lee Pass, you will walk through open canyons, and the route along Timber Creek will offer you the best cliff views.  If you want to extend your hiking trip further, you can continue your walk to the Bear Trap Canyon or the Willis Canyon. Summer and fall are the best seasons for backpacking trips to the La Verkin Creek Trail.  The Narrows View this post on Instagram A post shared by Zion National Park (@zionnps) Trail Distance: 16 Miles Hike Start: The Temple of Sinawava Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate (Based on the River Volume) Despite having an easy-to-moderate difficulty level, The Narrows is one of the most challenging hikes in this national park.  The meandering trekking route will take you through various canyons. However, you must first walk through the Virgin River as there is no alternative loop.  Here, you must note that the water level in the Virgin River keeps fluctuating. Based on the amount of rainfall and snowfall, the varying water levels of the Virgin River will pose challenges. So, check with the park authority about the “present water current level” and announcements.  West Rim Trail Trail Distance: 14.2 Miles  Trail Head: Lava Point  Difficulty Level: Strenuous  The West Rim Trail is one of the most challenging treks in Zion National Park. The elevation change here is close to 3500 feet, and you must make a steep ascent toward the Wildcat Canyon rims. Then, you will make a descent.  In addition, the West Rim Trail offers the best views of the Phantom Valley. If you are in for a backpacking trip to the West Rim Trail, late spring, summer, and fall will be the best seasons.  Camping In Zion National Park, Utah Though 2023 saw a dip in visitors to Zion National Park, it is still one of the most visited parks in the USA. In 2023, the park had less than 4.65 million visitors compared to 4.69 million visitors in 2022.  The red rock formations and canyons carved by water are some of the biggest attractions in this US national park, and camping is surely the best way to get to know the park better.  Zion National Park has three campgrounds, but the South Campground is closed for a long-term rehabilitation project. So, here I will discuss the Watchman Campground and Lava Point Campground.  Watchman Campground https://www.instagram.com/p/C84eLoOtJP8/ This campground is very close to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, and if you are entering the park from the  South Entrance in Springdale, you will have to go only ¼ miles to find this campground.  Each campsite in the campground has a picnic table, a place for a tent or RV, and fire ring access. You can book six months before your trip to secure a preferred spot.  Lava Point Campground It is a seasonal campground, operating only from May to September. Further, located at a 7890-foot height, this campground is closest to Kolob Terrace Road.  Also, if you enter the park from its southern entrance, you must drive for one hour and 20 minutes to reach this campground.  However, with 6 primitive camping sites, Lava Point Campground does not have most of the amenities of the Watchman Campground. Therefore, you will only get the following facilities here. Pit toilets Trash cans Seasonal trash collection Staff on site on a seasonal basis Moreover, you will have to pay a fee of $25 to reserve a spot in this campground. The city of Osaka is just a very fast Shinkansen away from the capital of the country. Therefore, a trip to Osaka falls well within the sphere of convenience for the tourists. Osaka is different from the capital city of Japan in various ways. As a result, the tourists should always try to explore. The city provides you with friendly locals, the best nightlife, and most importantly, some of the most delicious food in Japan. If Tokyo’s your flashy, fast-talking friend, then Osaka is the one who drags you out for late-night snacks and somehow knows every back alley in town. You’ve probably seen its neon glow on Instagram, maybe even heard whispers about the food scene — and yeah, it’s all true. Osaka just… does things differently. Osaka has a historical side. Therefore, tourists visiting Japan should enjoy visiting the historical side of Osaka. Places like the Osaka place overall provide the tourists with an enriching experience while they are on their trip to Osaka. The castle serves as a great place to explore Japanese History and understand the elegance of Japanese architecture. Moreover, the tourists should visit the place at any time of the year. However, the cherry blossom season in April serves as the best time to visit the place, as it reflects a different aura. The Sakura blooms in the month of April. Therefore, the beauty of the place is enhanced. This time of the year is also a pleasant time to visit the place. Therefore, the tourists should visit Osaka during this time of the year. But here’s the deal: as easygoing as the city feels, a smooth trip still needs a bit of planning. From navigating the city to finding the luxury hotels in Osaka Japan, it’s a lot of work!  I’ve learned the hard way (missed trains, wrong hotel location — you name it), so here’s the stuff I wish I’d known first. The Best Time To Visit Osaka People can take a trip to Osaka during the month of April when the Sakura blooms. However, tourists can visit the place throughout the year as there is no specific right time to visit the place. Honestly? There’s no “bad” time to go. It’s more about what kind of trip you’re after. Spring (March–May) is just ridiculous — cherry blossoms are everywhere, like someone dumped pink confetti all over the city. The weather’s dreamy. But fair warning, everyone knows it, so expect packed parks and pricier everything. Autumn, from September to November, is kind of my favorite. Milder temps, fewer people, and it’s easier to get a last-minute table somewhere. Only hitch? Rain likes to crash the party now and then. Summer — from June to August — is sticky. Like, humid humid. But oh man, the festivals. Fireworks lighting up the river, food stalls lined up for blocks… It’s electric. You just have to embrace the sweat. Winter (December–February) is quieter. Not freezing like Hokkaido, but cool enough to make hot bowls of ramen taste even better. And hey, no elbow fights in the subway. Planning Your Trip to Osaka  If you’re thinking, “I’ll just wing it,” um… You could, but Osaka’s popular enough now that winging it often means missing out. The tourists should always plan their trips in advance. Planning trips early allows people to visit every place with time on their hands. Planning trips early also allows people to ensure that they are not spending more than what is required. Here are a few things that you can incorporate to ensure that you have a concrete plan. 1. Find The Cheapest Flights. Book early. Like… months early. Especially if you’ve got your heart set on spring, check different dates, be okay with weird flight hours — that 2 a.m. arrival might save you enough cash to splurge on sushi later. 2. Treat Yourself To A Good Hotel. Cut corners on flights? Great. Put that extra into a hotel you’ll actually enjoy being in. Swissotel Nankai Osaka is right above Namba Station, which means you can roll out of bed and basically be anywhere in the city within minutes. Bonus: Some rooms have that traditional Ryokan vibe, if you want a bit of “old Japan” without ditching modern comforts. 3. Book Restaurants Ahead Of Time. If you’ve stalked a restaurant on Instagram, book it. Now. Osaka’s food scene doesn’t mess around. But leave room for surprises — some of my best meals came from random alley spots selling takoyaki or okonomiyaki for a few hundred yen. 4. Create An Itinerary To Optimise Your Time And Experience In The City. Universal Studios Japan? Give it a day, minimum. Then work in Osaka Castle, Kuromon Market (snack heaven), and Dotonbori at night for the lights and chaos. Got extra days? Hop over to Nara for deer selfies or Kyoto for temples. Trains make it easy 5. Learn How To Navigate The City’s Transportation System. Osaka’s trains and subways are fast, clean, and — once you figure out the map — kinda addictive to use. The Osaka Amazing Pass is worth it for unlimited rides. Thinking of city-hopping? Get the JR Pass and thank yourself later. Oh, and pack smart. Summer’s basically a sauna. Other seasons? Layers are your friend — evenings can get chilly even if the day’s warm. Things To Consider Before Taking A Trip To Osaka The thing about Osaka is that it sticks with you. It could be the food, the late-night streets, or the fact that locals have this warm, “come on in” energy. Plan it well, and you’ll already be plotting your return before your flight home even boards. And yeah, if you like the sound of rolling straight from the train into your hotel, Swissotel Nankai Osaka makes that ridiculously easy.
