Why You Should Move To San Diego

BY Abdul Aziz Aug 11, 2020

You have finally decided to move, but you can’t decide where. If you want to invest in real estate and enjoy a sunny and relaxed way of life then San Diego is the right choice. It’s a beautiful place to live with its pros and cons, just like any other place on earth, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. Neuman & Neuman showed me why San Diego would be a great place to settle, escape the hectic city life, and embrace the sun, beaches, and a very casual way of life compared to other places in the US. The Weather If you hate cloudy weather, rain or snow then San Diego is where you need to go. It’s sunny throughout the entire year, and the temperature averages 75 degrees. It’s rainy for just a few days a year, which is insignificant, and during the winter it can get a bit chilly in the evening which would require you to wear a jacket, just in case. Public Schools Some of the best public schools in California are located in San Diego. If you are looking to start a family in San Diego you can rest assured that your kids will have a good education. Do You Like Beaches? If you do then come to San Diego. This goes hand in hand with the beautiful weather, and there are several different activities for you to try. Whether you like to just sit and soak the sun, or maybe you are more of a water sports person, San Diego beaches have covered all the fun activities one could ask for. It’s like being on a vacation on a sunny beach 365 days a year. Do You Like To Spend Time Outside? If the answer is yes then you should try out San Diego’s plethora of biking and hiking trails. Nice weather and beautiful nature have created this community that drives this way of outdoor life. Join the fun and try something different every day. It’s not only beaches, but there are also mountains and desert areas for you to explore. This date with nature is what we all need after a hard day’s work, and San Diego offers that and more. A City For Family Activities Being a city of an active and casual way of life, San Diego offers a lot of fun stuff to do for your kids. There are museums, parks, the wonderful San Diego Zoo. If you like the kraft beer culture then you won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of kraft beer bars waiting for you to discover their quality menu that offers both domestic San Diego kraft and tons of foreign beers. The Cons Of Living In San Diego There’s no perfect place for living where everything suits you perfectly, and San Diego has problems of its own, which might not be such a big deal for everyone but should still be mentioned. First, the cost of living is pretty high. Real estate prices can differ pretty significantly. It all depends on whether you want to live near the coast or you are ok with a more inland location. I’ve already mentioned the weather, but if you are a person who likes to see seasons change then San Diego might be pretty boring for you. Traffic can also be problematic since everybody is driving cars which can lead to some jams now and then, but it’s not that bad. Public transportation is not as developed as you’d expect because most of the citizens rely on their cars. If you are a fan of sports then San Diego does not have much to offer. Apart from San Diego Padres, there’s not much else if you are into supporting local sports. 5 Engaging Ways to Pass Time During a Long Flight

BY Abdul Aziz Jun 20, 2020

Travelling can be a very exciting thing. We often look to travel as a way of meeting new people, exploring different cultures, eating exotic cuisines, or just work. No matter what kind of expectation we have from travel, we often dread when it comes to spending long hours on the flight. Being cooped up in a tin can thirty thousand feet above the air cannot only be intimidating but also boring. What are you going to do for the six of seven hours (depending on the length of the flight) is something almost each one of us asks ourselves just after boarding? In this article, we will look at why flight time can be a drab affair, which can take the edge off your expectations. We also look at five major ways; you can spend time in an exciting and engaging manner on your long haul flight. Why everyone dreads a long flight? Let us get the basic problems out of the way- You cannot walk on the aisle for six odd hours There is a limit to how much you can drink Falling asleep at forty thousand feet is not an option for me There is a limit to how much I can talk to my co-passenger I travel ‘Economy’ so the in-flight entertainment is restricted and the food is just ok In a standard poll, which I did with fifty if my colleagues, 90% of them referred to one of the five problems I listed above. Not everyone loves flying. In fact, the people who love to fly are in a rare minority. Therefore, what do you do, if you have to spend so much time, in such a small space? The answer lies in the following section. 5 ways to spend your time during long flights: The List 1. Play Simulation Games-   If you are someone like me who likes simulation games, a flight is the best place to do that. Use your phone or your laptop and play away to your heart’s content. According to the gaming platform, Robomodo, a number of Americans catch up on Simulation games during domestic and international flights. I personally enjoy playing ‘Clash Of Clans’ on my flights. No shouting and no disturbances from family members mean I can binge play using the clash of clans mod apk. You can complete serious quests and challenges during your flight time. 2. Pen a Travelling Journal-   You do not have to be a blogger or a social media influencer to open your journal. Writing a diary while flying is soothing, calming, and relaxing in nature. Many people who write or maintain personal journals often complain about all the disturbances, which prevents them from penning their thoughts. This is why flying can be a great time, where you can write to your heart’s content. You can write about what you are expecting from the journey, list down some things you wish to experience, and so on. 3. Catch up on your Reading List- I was amazed to find my colleague, who is part of social media influencer and part an adventure nut being one of the most read women I know in my life. When I asked her when does she get the time to read, she said on flights. Most of us who are traveling once every week, or twice a month, can finish a number of books and authors during the flight. This helps in distracting you (if you are scared of turbulence like me) and compliments your knowledge and information base. Reading while flying is a great way to kill time. 4. Finish that Series you so wanted to-   Like so many people these days, I am addicted to watching Netflix series. However, I hardly find the time to catch up on it because of my busy schedule. When I am flying I make it a point to binge-watch the entire series during the flight. This way, I do not feel bad when I am not able to catch shows when they first release. I am not going to tell you how you can download the series, but a little birdie informed me of this platform called Torrent. The rest is up to you people. You can also download your favorite movies or podcasts, depending on your interest areas, ready for your flight. Don't want to have to pay for expensive airport WiFi? Some Spectrum internet plans let you tap into special WiFi hotspots with your regular plan, so it's well worth taking this into consideration and, if you fly regularly, you may even wish to switch internet plans so you can get this benefit. 5. Do something Creative and Innovative- Many people like to solve Crossword or play Sudoku on flights. I have always found that very interesting. I have also seen people solve puzzles, or play chess from an app to keep themselves engaged and occupied. If you are someone who wants to take a different approach to spend your time, you can definitely opt for crosswords, puzzles, and Sudoku among other things. It keeps the mind sharp and is good for improving your competitiveness. Conclusion The next time you have to take a long flight, you can take help from this article and plan accordingly. None of these things is too complicated to achieve. You will also not disturb your fellow co-passengers when you are doing any of the above-mentioned activities. Top 11 Unique things To Do In Flagstaff Before 2024

BY Abdul Aziz Apr 29, 2020

With many natural sights, monuments, and other adventurous places, Flagstaff is the largest city in northern Arizona. Trust me, you’re going to find a lot of exciting things to do in Flagstaff. I visited Flagstaff last year along with several other best places in the USA.   It was a truly exhilarating journey from Las Vegas to Zion National Park. Apart from this, I also had a great time on the Maryland trip.   Now, in this post, you will find many attractive places with a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, snowboarding, etc.   Best Things to Do in Flagstaff   The best place to start your Flagstaff trip is from the Historic Downtown and Railroad District. Know the other exciting things to do here.   1. Exploring Historic Downtown and Railroad District  https://www.instagram.com/p/C-GKpULKpQx/ When you plan your Flagstaff trip, I would recommend that you start the trip from the Historic Downtown and Railroad District.   I’m sure you’re going to enjoy the beauty of the town walking along the streets. You will find historic buildings that are now being converted into hotels, restaurants, breweries, etc.   Even at night, you’ll find a crowd in the town. I remember when I came back from a movie show, some college students were out on the street. You can book a day or two of your stay here to enjoy the farmer’s market, local events, entertainment shows, shopping, eating, and drinking.   The town allows easy access to many other tourist spots in Flagstaff. A wonderful park is located within walking distance of the visitors’ center.  2. Visiting Wheeler Park is One of the Best Things to Do in Flagstaff  https://www.instagram.com/p/Ctj4PRiK9Ts/ Take a short walk from the visitor center of the historic downtown to get to this park.  Visiting Wheeler Park is one of the best things to do in Flagstaff.   The park hosts a variety of events, such as regular park runs and weekly art festivals like Park Art, Hullabaloo, and more.   The park is full of trees that give you a green space to relax and enjoy. When I visited this park, a lot of people came with books to read, but my friends and I enjoyed a picnic in the park.   3. Grand Canyon Day Tour  This place is out of town, so you can book a day trip to discover different historic buildings and hike in different locations. If you have time, then a day trip to the Grand Canyon is one of the great things to do in Flagstaff.  You’ll find the El Tovar Lodge and the Desert View Watchtower on this day trip. You’ll get a chance to have lunch and explore the Navajo Trading Post. Usually, it’s best if you’re traveling in a group.  4. Walnut Canyon National Monument  Exploring the Walnut Canyon National Monument is one of the most interesting things to do in Flagstaff. You might be thinking, why is the name of the monument called so? The reason is simple: the name is because this national monument is full of Arizona Walnut trees.  This monument is in the East of Flagstaff, which has many types of plants. The canyon has more than 500 species of plants, and you’ll find various wildlife in the forest.  Another interesting part of the monument is the loop trail, which descends along the canyon. There are several other trails around the Walnut Canyon, but the loop trail is the most attractive one.   Along this way, you will discover 25 historical limestone cliff residents where the Sinagua people were staying in the past.   5. Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument  Have you ever heard of a volcano eruption? The Sunset Volcano National Monument is a place in Flagstaff where you can discover the eruption of volcanoes.   Around 900 years ago, a massive volcano eruption shook the city. In this eruption, a significant volume of lava was released and dispersed over 4 miles and coated 800 + acres of land in ash and rock fragments.  It’s been a long time since this eruption happened, but today, you can still find evidence of the violent and destructive events that occurred. The crater gives you a perfect hiking trail to explore the three lava flows.   However, certain areas of the crater are not permitted to be explored for safety reasons. Head to the visitor center, where you can learn about the volcano eruption and how it affected the region. Many visitors recommend exploring the crater, which is one of the best things to do in Flagstaff.  6. Wupatki National Monument  Among other National Monuments, the Wupatki is one of the most famous monuments in America. However, this monument is abandoned but safeguarded by the Hopi clans. They tell the lifestyle and stories about their ancestors. To their beliefs, people at that time died here and remained as spiritual guides.   If you want to discover the rich American history, then visiting the Wupatki National Monument is one of the best things to do in Flagstaff. Ancient Pueblo people built this monument.    It has three buildings and 29 structures in an area of 35,000 acres (about half the area of Athens, Georgia). I didn’t get a chance to explore the place with the rangers when I visited. But if your luck is good, you might have an opportunity to discover the monument with the rangers. You can hike to some parts of the monument.  7. Arizona Snowbowl Scenic Chairlift  https://www.instagram.com/p/C75FlFhpVmS/?img_index=1 Riding the scenic chairlift to see the Arizona Snowbowl and the San Francisco Peaks is one of the most interesting things to do in Flagstaff. If you’re planning your trip in the autumn (that’s from October to December), you’ll enjoy the scenic chairlift ride. In this season, the landscape of Arizona showcases different colors and is truly mesmerizing.  When you reach the top, you will gain some information about the place from the rangers. They offer you knowledge on various topics such as the habitats of the region, geology, and history. Apart from this, you can enjoy adventurous activities like snowboarding, walking on the trails, and skiing.   8. Exploring the Lowell Observatory is one of the Unique Things to Do in Flagstaff  Lowell Observatory offers you the opportunity to get a view of space through telescopes. Do you know that this is the place where Pluto was discovered?   Here, you will find the original telescope that was used to discover the planet Pluto. Now, it is a working research center that is open to visitors to learn about space, the universe, galaxies, etc.  I would say visiting the Lowell Observatory is one of the most exciting things to do in Flagstaff. The observatory also hosts different special programs that allow you to meet an astronomer or attend different events, such as meteor showers.  9. Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course  https://www.instagram.com/p/Cv-CXpCL-tn/ Do you like adventurous or challenging activities? Taking a rope drive on the zip lines in the Forthfill Country Park will pump your adrenaline. This spot will give you a thrilling experience by suspending between the trees.   I had a fear of heights, and it was really challenging for me, but I really enjoyed the rope drive. Trust me, this is one of the most adventurous things to do in Flagstaff, in my opinion.   If you travel in a group or alone, you can enjoy different adventure courses, from walking on the ropes to swinging between the trees. This place offers a different level of activities for adults and kids.  10. Camping At Lockett Meadow  This is the most beautiful place to visit on the list of things to do in Flagstaff. This is a fantastic place in the Coconino National Forest, inside Flagstaff. If you want to visit this place, one day is not enough and, fortunately, you can enjoy camping here.  The best time to visit this place is all year round because you’ll have a different experience in every season. You’ll find the ash tree leaves turning yellow in the summer, and the whole place looks amazing. Meanwhile, in spring, the entire meadow is full of flowers.  11. Museum of Northern Arizona  https://www.instagram.com/p/C2nVq3esjJ_/?img_index=1 This is a place where you can learn about the history of Flagstaff. The museum is built on lava stone. It allows you to discover the dinosaurs, the geology of Northern Arizona, and the ancient people who lived there. In my opinion, this is a place that you should never miss if you ever travel to Flagstaff.   Here, you will learn about the history, biology, arts, geology, and many other things about Northern Arizona. Along with that, the museum has a central garden that shows different species of plants in the area. Visiting the museum can give you some knowledge about this place. It is one of the best things to do in Flagstaff.   Why Is Flagstaff Called a Dark City?   Flagstaff became the official “Dark City” in 2001. On 24th October 2001, it was named the “First International Dark Sky City” because of the unforeseen work it did to preserve the natural resources of the night sky.   The preservation effort was to ensure economic security and public safety. Also, it was instrumental in ensuring Flagstaff’s position as a “premiere astronomic site” in the world. In addition, it was an expression of community values.   You can even watch the Milky Way in Flagstaff, and the view is stellar. If the weather is good, you will see the stars shooting one after another.   Bon Voyage!  Hopefully, you’ve found some useful travel ideas and unique things to do in Flagstaff. From my experience, I recommend that you plan your trip from October to December.   To explore every place on the list and have a memorable experience, plan your tour for 10 to 15 days (about 2 weeks). As I mentioned above, you’re going to explore the National Monuments, a few parks, and more. Hiking, snowboarding, skiing, and rope driving are some of the outdoor activities you’ll enjoy on your Flagstaff tour.  Also read Beginner Tips For Your First Camino de Santiago. Things to Do Before Finalising a Weekend House Reservation

BY Abdul Aziz Apr 7, 2020

It would be fun to switch things up and rent a large house on the weekend. It's not something you usually do, but it's fun. You get the chance to stay in a different home, even for the night. You will also have the opportunity to bond with the people you love. You're always busy with work, and you keep making excuses not to spend time with them. The rest of your family members also have excuses. Since you will still feel at home and not travel to distant locations, this plan is feasible. If you want to finalize the reservation soon, these are a few things you need to do. Make sure you can pay the price  Check the cost of renting these places. You have to compute not only the base fee but other charges like taxes. Since you're going to rent luxury and large houses, you will spend more than the usual price. Make sure that you can afford the cost before you decide to finalize your reservation. You can consider other options if you couldn’t afford the cost. Talk to your family members You have to make everyone involved in this decision. You might have specific features to look for, but the others do too. Therefore, you have to talk to them and ensure that they have a say before deciding. You want your weekend to be fun. Otherwise, some of your children will feel terrible and not have fun while everyone does. Read the terms Not all large houses for rent have the same terms. Some of them require you to pay the full amount before the rental period, while others are okay with partial payments. You also need to know what the terms are if you damaged a feature in the property. The time for checking in and out might also differ from the standard time in hotels. If you think the terms are fair enough, you can finalize your reservation. Think of activities to do Although there are many features for your entire family to enjoy, you can still try doing other fun stuff. If you've always wanted to have a game night at home, now is the perfect time to do it. You can also have a mini party where everyone has to put on a costume. Being in a large house on the weekend is already fun, but it can get better. If you already finalized all these details, it’s time for you to confirm the reservation. You also have to remember that other people might want to book the same house that you like. Before it gets taken away from you, you have to book it now. If you want to have the same experience in the future, you can look for other large houses for rent in your area. Given how close they are, and how easy it is for you to reserve online, it won’t be a problem. It’s nice to have something that helps but your entire family. How To Prepare Yourself For The Perfect Vacation?: Top 7 Tips

BY Abdul Aziz Apr 7, 2020

A vacation is supposed to be a gateway to a stress-free world. It is expected to rejuvenate your senses and remove all the tiredness, boredom, and monotony of daily life.  However, in order to ensure that your vacation is as memorable as you are imagining it to be, you need to prepare for the same well in advance. A good vacation is all about planning, locating the problem areas, and ensuring that you are prepared for the same.  This planning includes everything from ensuring your home is fitted with a security alarm to keep it safe and secure whilst you are away (see the Verisure website for details), to planning your travel itinerary, and having an emergency credit card for any unforeseen disasters. Vacations are not without their fair share of problems. Even the most experienced travelers cannot plan for unforeseen developments. That being said, there are many careless travelers who forego planning and strategic execution for a month-long problem fest.  We certainly do not want to belong to that bunch of people. Whether it is a Euro Trip with friends or a journey of rediscovery to India, this article is going to help you prepare for it all. In this article, we will look at ten tips that will help you prepare for your vacation in the best possible manner.  7 Tips to Prepare for your Dream Vacation: The List 1. Manage, Collect and Arrange all your documents Call me old-fashioned, but I like to go old-school when it comes to all documents relating to my travel. This includes all my flight tickets, VISA papers, passports, hotel bookings, travel insurance, and cash.  You might say that an e-version of most of the things would suffice. However, try using your internet connectivity in some remote village in India to show your hotel booking. You will understand the need to take physical printouts and maintain a proper file of the same.  2. Get your Financials in order It is always a good idea to arrange your finances as much as possible. A cool tip is to pay as much of the bookings, travel costs, and others before leaving for your vacation. This way, you will not have to carry around too much cash or cards on your trip.  Always remember to carry just one or two debit/credit cards. Enquire ahead, as to which banks are accepted and which are not. Exchange currency right at the airport itself. All this will help you when it comes to managing your finances during your vacation.  3. Check your Connectivity Issues during a Vacation You get off the plane, switch on your phone, and surprise, there is no signal! Trust me, in an unknown land you do not want to be without your phone at any cost. Do your research and get an International Calling Card if possible.  You can also see what the local telecom operators in the country are and whether or not you can get a local SIM card in the country. You will need your cell phone for all kinds of things- from emergencies to calling for booking confirmations, to communicating with your family back home.  4. Carry your Entertainment with you If you are expecting that your Netflix will work seamlessly in some remote country, you might be in for a surprise. Even if the internet connectivity is not an issue, then there might be some other problems. This is why it is a good idea that you carry your entertainment with you.  You can use a credible video downloader like youtube to mp3 and download all videos from YouTube. Almost all series and movies are now available on YouTube. You can download all of them and save them on your laptop or on your phone. This will help you enjoy entertainment when you are just casually relaxing.  5. Pay attention to the Weather and News Visiting America during the Hurricane season might not be a good idea. Traveling to Jerusalem during a conflict situation in the neighborhood should be avoided. Most travelers are so looking forward to their vacation that they become highly optimistic.  This is not a good approach. You should always be aware of the news and happenings in the region of your travel. You do not want to be caught in some natural emergency or be a victim of some political drama happening in the country of your travel. Listen to the Foreign Ministry Advisory of your home country before embarking on the journey.  6. A Limited Travel Itinerary for your Vacation It is always a good idea to travel light and have a limited itinerary for your vacation. If you are trying to pack in too many things, you can expect your plans to go haywire. Having a limited itinerary also means that you will be exhaustively exploring each location.  Going for multiple destinations is often the hallmark of a superficial traveler. By keeping a limited itinerary, you will never feel pressured and feel that you are always falling behind. This will create pressure and take the fun out of your vacation plans. Select places, which interest you, not which your friend had gone to and recommended.  7. Plan the Come Back period before you leave for your vacation Most people might be well prepared when it comes to the above-mentioned six points. However, this is where even the best amongst us falter. You should always have a sufficient buffer time after coming back from your vacation. This is critical to prepare yourself when it comes to overcoming the vacation hangover.  Many experts say that doing things like your laundry before leaving for your vacation is a good way to prepare back for your vacation. The last thing you would want to see is a pile of dirty laundry that you would have to do post a great vacation.  Conclusion Going on a vacation can be a highly rewarding experience. On the other hand, it can also be a very stressful affair, leading to fights between couples or fallout among friends. However, if you are prepared with the above-mentioned seven tips, you can rest assured that you are mitigating most of the problems.  Can you think of some other tips that can help you while preparing for your vacation? Do let us know in the comments section below.   Read also:  5 Tips to Improve Holiday Experience for Next Vacation

How Will No-deal Brexit Affect Immigration to the UK?

BY Abdul Aziz Feb 1, 2020

Brexit, the short-hand for the withdrawal of Britain from the European Union (EU), has emerged as a hot topic for discussion in recent years. It started hitting the headlines ever since the introduction of the bill for it in 2016. At that time, it was decided that the separation of Britain from the EU would take place precisely after a couple of years from that date. But after many agreements and disagreements on the date, the official date for the landmark change has been decided upon as October 31, 2019. Immigration to the UK is one of the aspects that may undergo some radical changes as a result of it. The three possibilities concerning Brexit Given the shorter time frame, it seems unlikely that the government of the UK would reach an agreement with the representatives of the European Union before the end of October this year. As a result, it is not certain if Brexit would happen as per the schedule. Going by the chain of events, there are three possible scenarios: Brexit may happen with a deal, it may happen without a deal, or it may not happen at all. Also, chances are ripe for the postponement of the event to a later date. How it may affect the migration of the EU passport holders to the UK With the cloud of uncertainty looming large on various sectors in Britain due to the inevitable event, soothsayers have started making their future predictions. While no one knows for sure how things will turn out to be in the event of a no-deal Brexit, there are two schools of thought. Some experts put their money on the positive side of it, whereas others believe it could lead to chaos. While there is no denying the fact that there will be changes, the million-dollar question is how it will alter the existing system of migration to the UK for the EU passport holders. Considering the uncertainties surrounding the decision on Brexit, it is hard to predict the outcomes with accuracy. It is not hard to decipher what the majority of people may expect if no-deal Brexit becomes a reality, though. Read on to know more about how the move may influence the existing arrangements for immigration to the UK for the nationals of the EU countries. Travelling, residing, and working in EU countries As of now, EU nationals do not need any visa to live, holiday or work in the UK. But things may change after Brexit, especially if it happens without a deal. While the current arrangement may continue for a shorter stay until December 2020, the holders of the EU passport may need a work permit to take part in any of the financial activities in the UK. These include doing a paid job or running a business. An important thing to remember here is that these probabilities are inevitable, regardless of whether Brexit happens with or without a deal. The status of the EU passport The citizens of the UK whose EU passports are set to expire in a few days’ time need to apply for the EU settlement scheme at the earliest. It is recommended that they set the ball rolling for it from now on to avoid any inconvenience or hassle at the subsequent stages after the separation of Britain from the EU. New rules and regulations of the United Kingdom immigration services will come into existence by January 2021. These rules will apply to both the categories of EU passport holders: those who are already in the UK and those who are planning to do so. From January 1, 2021, revised rules and regulations concerning Immigration to the United Kingdom will replace the existing arrangement. The registration under the EU settlement scheme will be necessary from the beginning of 2021 for staying legally in the country. Therefore, it is important to apply for the same from now on. Existing challenges in the UK Notwithstanding the inevitable, the representatives of courts and the Home Office in the UK have their work cut out for themselves. It will take a Herculean effort on their part to not only formulate a plan but also implement it in quick time. Final thoughts: At present, it may seem as if January 2021 is too far away. But it is almost like a few hours when one takes the amount of outstanding work into consideration. The existing problems and challenges in the UK are likely to aggravate matters even further. As far as immigration to the UK is concerned, it is a complex topic. Careful deliberation with all ends considered is necessary to make the right decision. The future immigration to the UK for EU nationals depends a lot on how these institutions would discharge all the responsibilities. KEEP AN OPEN MIND Keeping an open mind is a great way to travel the land of India as you will see things that you did not expect to, like children asking for food while you are stuck in traffic. “In the 2023 Global Hunger Index, India ranks 111th out of the 125 countries with sufficient data to calculate 2023 GHI scores. With a score of 28.7 in the 2023 Global Hunger Index, India has a level of hunger that is serious.” 7. You can try out the North Indian dishes, the south Indian dishes, and the local food of whichever place you travel to. Be mindful of the water you are consuming and make sure it is purified. Most places have clean water to drink, but it is advised to be mindful. 9. Sharpen your bargaining skills and have fun with it. Is India Safe To Travel For Women? (Most) Important Things To Know Before Traveling To India For The First Time As I write this article, the cry of #JusticeforRGKar becomes more prominent to me. A month has passed since the rape and murder of a lady PG doctor of the Pulmonology department in the R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. Kolkata is the capital city of West Bengal, a state in the eastern part of India.  There is still a protest going on, and people from all walks of life are participating in it with a suspicion of state machinery’s involvement in the case. Further, it aches my heart, but I have to mention that Delhi experienced one of the heinous acts of rape and murder a few years back in the form of the Nirbhaya case.  People across borders are aware of these incidents today. So, the question of women’s safety while traveling to India is obvious. Further, if we look at the Booking.com travel predictions for 2024, we can see that 54% of women will likely embrace solo travel instead of a couple or group trip.  Nevertheless, let’s get back to the question here, and allow me to assure you that India is fairly safe for women travelers.  The data from the “National Commission for Women” and “National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB)” are not-so-pleasing. I don’t want to share the figures, either! However, the women-only travel groups are making it easier for every woman traveling to India for the first time or even for the 100th time.  The WOW Club, or Women on Wanderlust, and Women On Clouds Club, or WOC, are two of the most popular women-only travel groups in India. So, as Hannah goes for a girl trip with her mother in “Girls,” get ready for traveling to India for the first time!  Read Also: 8 Amazing Things To Do In Delhi For First Time Tourists Complete Guide For A Pleasant Agra Tour The Easy Way To Travel In India Top Most Expensive Hotels Of India To Enjoy And Stay Your Holidays

You will have to ensure that the destination you choose will not only meet your preferences but also be friendly to your budget. Another important thing you have to consider will be the duration of your trip. The length of your journey will help you to choose where to visit. If you have about four weeks or more, then you will be able to travel overseas for your trip. If you have little time, a domestic trip will be reasonable. However, you will have to ensure that the destination that you choose for your trip will offer you an opportunity to enjoy and have fun to the fullest. It will not be a good idea for you to plan a trip to a place where you will not be able to enjoy and have fun. That will be a total wastage of your time and other valuable resources. If you are convinced that your travel destination is right for you, you will now have to consider your travel companions. Will you be traveling alone, with your family (including your children) or with your colleagues? You need to put into consideration the aspect of diverse interest. Consequently, if you are bringing some people along with you on your trip, you should also consider their tests and preferences. It is a crucial element to consider when planning a trip. It might be essential for you to sit down with them and discuss their travel preferences and later on agree on a common destination. Lastly, you may have to choose a destination that will allow you to fully enjoy and even remember your trip for days to come. 2. Plan for Your Flight: Immediately after choosing the destination, the next thing you have to do is a plan for your flight. It is essential for you to try and explore the number of options with regards to the available flights and select the cheaper one. Choosing a cheaper flight when planning a trip will help you to reduce your budget when significantly. If you choose to travel with your family, it is advisable to pick a flight that will get you to your destination within the shortest time possible. You also have to ensure the flight offers you and your family maximum comfort. If you are traveling for the first time, then it will be essential for you to go for premium direct flights. This decision will help you to avoid long hours that come with connecting flights. If you are unable to find a cheaper flight, then you can try out some online sites that offer useful information regarding flights. The information will help you to get a cheaper flight that will save you costs in the long run. 3. Book Your Accommodation: It is advisable to choose a suitable accommodation for yourself when planning a trip. However, you need to be so keen not to overspend on accommodation while on your trip. Go for the most affordable accommodation options. Choosing affordable accommodation options will help you to save some money for other activities while on your trip. The length of your trip will also be a significant aspect when planning for your accommodation. If you intend to stay for a shorter period, then you can reward yourself a fantastic moment in prestigious accommodation centers. If you want to stay for a more extended period, then it will only be right that you settle for cheaper accommodation options. If you wish to travel to a country that you are not familiar with, you need to go online and explore some of the cheaper accommodation options available. However, don’t compromise your comfort by choosing the cheapest hotels. Usually, online sites will provide you with a broad range of accommodation options from the most expensive to cheaper options. You can also get privately owned accommodation centers being the best options. 4. Planning for Transportation: After choosing your destination, you need to plan on how you will have fun in different areas. This factor implies that you may have to move around. Therefore, it is vital to start making arrangements on how you will be able to move around your travel destination when planning a trip to ensure that you don’t get stranded at some points. Try and research on the existing travel options in your travel destination and see which one fits you best. You can either choose to use taxis or opt for commuter buses. You will have to be a bit vigilant in some destinations when planning a trip due to insecurity or even avoiding getting conned. Try to avoid rental car companies from the airport since some of them might charge you highly hence reducing your budget. However, there could be some other car rental companies that charge reasonably well. The only problem will be that you may not be able to get them due to the higher demand they face. If you intend to make use of such transportation options, then you need to make an earlier booking. If you manage to catch a vehicle from the company, it will help you to save money and other resources. This is because the vehicles will transport you to and from your destination without making stopovers that tend to waste time. 5. Things to See and Do on the Vacation: It is very much essential for you to determine the place you will have to visit without failure when planning a trip, and possibly the kind of things to do in those places. Also, look around and see if there are other fun things you can do free of charge. If you choose to travel at a peak season, you will be able to catch up with more fun, and more people who are having fun as well. Through having fun, you may find yourself creating new friends in the process. However, traveling during the peak season may force you to make prior bookings to accommodation centers and tourist’s sites. This earlier booking is advisable since there may be many people visiting the sites as well hence making the accommodation options scarce. The research will be fundamental when planning a trip, and more particularly on the kind of things, you will intend to do while on your journey. Some countries offer online booking options to zoos and theme parks. You should make use of these options to avoid last-minute rushes while planning a trip. If you are not so sure of the kind of activities to engage in when planning a trip, you may have to enquire for a guide. The guide will take you through all the events in your selected tour destination, though at a smaller fee. You can also go online and try to research your selected tourist destination. The research will help you to see if there are some things you will need to give priority to while on your trip. The only thing you need to look for will be an exceptional experience in whatever activity you will choose to engage. Ensure the activities present you with an opportunity of enjoying optimally. 6. Places To Drink and Eat While on the Trip: Some travel destinations are famous because of the drinks and foods they offer. If you are traveling with family, it will be vital for you to consider destinations that provide excellent eating places. If you visit these excellent places then you will have an opportunity to sit with your family and enjoy excellent delicious meals. You also need to check the expiry date of your passport. If the expiry date of your passport is after six months, then you have to fit your travel and vacation plans within the same period.  Some countries or travel destinations will even require you to have a passport with the validity of six months beyond your vocational stay. 8. Understand the Visa Requirements for Your Preferred Destination: You will need to know and understand the visa requirements of your travel destination before eventually setting sail. You also need to know how exactly you will be able to get a specific visa when you need it. Usually, when it comes to visas, different countries provide different rules for nationalities.
