Top Gold Producing Countries

The price of gold has gone up the charts. This has significantly sparked interest in the largest gold producers in the world.

The US Geological Survey notes that global gold production totaled 3.000 metric tons (MT) in the last year.

China’s gold output peaked at 455 MT in 2016, it hasn’t dipped below 300 MT in more than a decade.  This has helped the Asian country stay true to being world’s biggest gold producer.

This country went from producing 69 MT in 2016 to 130 MT in 2023. Kazakhstan’s largest gold-mining operation is the Altyntau Kokshetau mine, which is owned by mining giant Glencore.
